Discover Mazatlan

Located on Mexico's Pacific Coast, Mazatlan's gorgeous 17-mile beach makes it a winner among sun destinations. Affectionately known as the Pearl of the Pacific, Mazatlan's beautiful beaches and abundant marine life make it an important site for international fishing tournaments. Mazatlan offers two marinas and fantastic golf courses with stunning ocean views. A stroll along the famous Malecon in the Golden Zone is excellent for shopping and dining. Meanwhile, history buffs can enjoy a visit to Old Mazatlan, the historic center lined with 19th-century architecture. With its markets, churches, cafes, and plazas, life in the traditional neighborhoods carries on much as before tourists arrived.

Mazatlan's temperatures average in the 70s year-round. January through March are the cooler months, with typical daytime temps in the low 70s and 80s, while July through September tends to be hot and humid, with daytime average highs in the 90s.

What to Do in Mazatlan

  • El Malecon

The “main drag” of Mazatlan, El Malecon offers travelers everything from beachfront dining (complete with amazing seafood) and shopping to epic sunset views, romantic strolls under streetlamps, and plenty of spots to score that perfect late-night cocktail.
