Would not go back.
Let me start by saying we did have a great time on our trip and the facilities were great. The problem we had was service. All of the employees were nice, but they were extremely understaffed and it showed in our service. The bed was amazing, and we really enjoyed the room. We have no complaints about this. We got the premier package upgrade expecting it to elevate our trip. This was a disappointing "upgrade". We should have had champagne in our room upon arrival - there was none. We were supposed to have liquor/snacks in our room that would be refilled everyday - this was only refilled once when we complained. There is supposed to be daily turndown service - we only got turndown service once when we complained and it was only one night. The other biggest disappointment was food. One day we were on the beach and ordered drinks/food. They only had 1 guy serving about 100 people on the beach. It took over half hour to get our drinks. And the food was frozen food that wasn't even warmed all the way. We tried going to a restaurant to eat dinner that night and was told that it was over half hour wait. So we went to a different restaurant on campus and that had the same wait time. They do not allow you to make reservations for dinner, but do not have enough seating to accommodate everyone. When we ordered food at the sit down restaurant it took an hour to get food and the food was cold. Even at the buffet, the food was cold before you could make it back to your table. None of the food we ate on campus tasted good. We left campus 3 times for dinner because the food situation was so bad. Which is very disappointing when you pay for an all inclusive. We did enjoy our trip overall, however I would never return to this resort. The lower price point was not worth it.

A memorable stay with everything you could ever ask for
Dreams Aventuras Riviera Maya resort, located within the gated community of Puerto Aventuras, about an hour away from Tulum International Airport, was the perfect getaway for sun-starved vacationers. Our stay here was excellent, and had everything we could ever ask for: spacious room, friendly staff, good food, countless activities within the resort that kept us entertained during our stay here. 1. Room: the room we were assigned was spacious and quite stylish and modern, with a balcony overlooking the marina. However, we had some issues with the room, but Jesus, the supervisor at the front desk quickly amended the situation and we were moved to another room right away. This was great customer service. 2. Staff: the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and were very attentive in every way possible. From the bellboy (Jorge - who was incredibly helpful and informative), to the receptionists, waiters, the best entertainment team (shoutout to Christian who made us feel so welcomed and engaged, as well as Karla who taught us how to make guacamole and Itzayana), to the staff at the cafe, this resort's best asset is their excellent staff! 3. Food: Food was plentiful, and although it's a smaller selection compared to other resorts I've been to, it was pretty good quality for an all-inclusive resort. I wouldn't say the food was mind-blowing by any means, but it was decent. We ate almost exclusively at the World Cafe, which is a buffet and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. However, we did try the Italian restaurant, Portofino, once where the service was absolutely impeccable. The food was also pretty decent. I had the pasta while my husband had the chicken (highly recommend this, I stole my husband's food). There was also an option to order food from the app to be delivered to the room, but we never tried this. There are also a snack bars if you feel snackish in between meals: one inside the building and one located close to the beach/pool area. 4. Activities/Entertainment: The entertainment team had some of the best staff -- engaging, extroverted, young people who did their best to provide great activities from morning to evening such as yoga, kayaking/paddleboarding, zumba, aquazumba, volleyball, pickleball, etc. Every night, we were never bored. My favourite was the fire show by the beach and the Caribbean show. They also had Mexican Festival Night which was quite special as we were serenaded by traditional Mexican music and dance, while we dined by the beach. 5. Beach and Swimming Pool: The beach area was pretty to look at, but we did not really get a chance to swim as we found the beach too rocky and small. We did do kayaking and paddleboarding which were great, but we preferred swimming in the pool for the most part. The pool is almost always full though by mid-morning until afternoon, so best to go early to secure your spot. 6. Puerto Aventuras: What I love about this resort is that you are able to get out of the resort to explore the picturesque Puerto Aventuras community. We walked the length of the marina and checked out the many shops. The following day, we decided to rent the resort's golf cart and while it was quite expensive, it was worth it for us as we got to explore the town and get back to the resort for a meal or bathroom break. We had my mom with us, so the golf cart really came in handy. We were pleasantly surprised with the dolphins right in the middle of the plaza! Thank you Dreams Aventuras Riviera Maya for unforgettable memories and stay! Hope to be back again one day.

Dreams Puerto Aventuras
Dreams was a nice hotel, however, it’s about an hour away from the airport in Cancun. If you’re looking for a beach, and to enjoy something Surfside, this is not the hotel because this does not have a true beach. Food decent, margaritas, inconsistent, staff very nice, willing to accommodate your needs. Akxel/ Ruth/ Francisco, and Giovanni on 7 th floor made a great margarita.. preferred club pool area awesome, beach ok, watch the rocks, you could get injured.. overall, it was a nice vacation. I was away from work, and out of the cold weather in NJ, and with my husband who I love, but unfortunately, I wouldn’t return back only because of the lack of the beach and wasn’t fond of the hour drive from the airport.. . I did like the fact you could rent a golf cart and explore the grounds this place called La Caleta was awesome, great street taco, amazing lobster, and Armando was very helpful and pleasant..

Pretty doesn't cut it. Good food and comfortable rooms are a necessity!
We paid for preferred and wish we hadn't. The preferred club is in a hallway on the 7th floor which people have to pass through to get to their rooms. The food was cold, inadequate seating & service. Nothing preferred about it. The resort was pretty enough but it ends there. So glad for the good food outside the resort.
