  Not the Barbados we were expecting

  The hotel was too far out of anyewhere when we arrived. Very plain decor. The food had no choice atall on each serving each day. When they say bars here in the hotel, well they are rubbish. Nothing like a bar. No music and no atmosphere atall. The drinks took a while to be served as only one person behind the so called bar.

  Stunning resort let down by young unprofessional staff

  This is a very beautiful resort with stunning views and lovely rooms. The food is quite good. What lets it down is a definite lack of professionalism from the staff. You notice it from check in as the front desk staff are on their mobiles scrolling through social media and texts whilst wearing an ear piece listening to music. You just get ignored during the check in process as they talk between themselves. The maintenance staff are non existent and there is was a constant beeping every 5 minutes from the elevator alarm because it was stuck. Calling maintenance didn’t solve the issue for 2 days and sleeping thru that alarm was very frustrating. The restaurant staff are very attentive but the bar staff are very sparse and not motivated so expect to wait ages for a cocktail. It’s a beautiful resort let down by young unprofessional staff who don’t have the experience to offer 5 star service from a hotel that has the potential to be outstanding and memorable. We usually stay at the Hilton but we thought we would give the Wyndham a go as it’s new. I don’t think we will return as it’s not being run professionally. The management needs to consider some staff training in professional development.

  Mini Break

  When I arrived at the hotel I had to wait an hour before being shown to my room, after a long flight that is not ideal. Eventually I was taken to Sam lords grill so that I could get something to eat and was told the kitchen was closed. When I finally arrived to my room the welcome screen on the Said happy new year with a guest who wasn’t me and its now the end of January. I noticed that the quilt was dirty and also there had makeup on it. I complained to three separate staff and nothing was done to rectify the situation. Furthermore when I went to report it at reception, the young lady didn’t even look up from what she was doing and simply looked at me blankly. I asked to borrow a plug to charge my and was told it would be charged to my room until returned. I expect more from Otherwise the staff were helpful and informative and the spa staff were very friendly.

  Gorgeous resort

  Beautiful hotel grounds. Stunning rooms. Huge bath tub and amazing service. Stayed here for just one night. Rooms are nice and spacious. I had a sea view room with a balcony. Gorgeous view. Kettle with tea making facilities and coffee machine in rooms. Fridge in room which was stocked with some larger, fruit juice, water and soft drinks. Iron and ironing board in wardrobe although the ironing board in my room could have done with a new cover. Hairdryer and TV (didn't use either). Wireless charging for your phone next to bed which was really handy. Huge bath tub and walk in shower. The Molton Brown toiletries were an added luxury. My stay was all inclusive and unfortunately that what lost the hotels 5 star rating. I currently am unable to eat egg or milk (dairy) and I found the hotel breakfast very limiting. There was only really fruit which I knew was safe. I asked a staff member if the bagel contained milk but even though she checked with the chef, she didn't know for sure as they were bought in. No plant based butter or yogurt available. None of the hot food at breakfast had allergens listed either. They were able to give me soya milk (they also had almond) for my coffee and cereal. Lunch was a similar situation. I played it safe and just had rice and veg but no allergens were listed. They did however have a vegan and gluten free dessert which was delicious. For both meals I ate at the buffet so can't comment on the other restaurants.

  Great Birthday get away/weekend staycation

  Spent 1 night here for a quick birthday get away. It was amazing. Staff were very attentive, especially Jessica by the pool grill and bar. My room was set up with balloons. When we went to the pool they even placed a surprise Birthday cake plate in the room. As a returning national this hotel was a great choice. My only cons are the very limited buffet. It’s a smaller selection than any other all inclusive I have stayed at. Apparently each day is a different cuisine so if you aren’t here on certain days you will miss out. The pool grill and bar fried chicken is a must. The Whiskey sours here are really good. The only other restaurant on property is Castle View. I did enjoy my main course the lobster was very good. The steak, a bit under seasoned but nothing salt couldn’t fix. Ignore the bad views, I didn’t see all of the flies, dirt or trash that other people saw. However, I believe this hotel is good for a weekend stay but nothing longer due to only having 3 dining options.
