Disappointing stay. Expected more from a Waldorf. Only good was location. Breakfast was so bad. Tv broken.
We booked via Amex FHR and are also Hilton Diamond. Had very high hopes for this property even though we were aware the spa and pool were closed, we thought we would make the best of our two night stay. Upgraded from annex garden room to pavilion garden view room, which was a tiny dungeon. Asked if they had anything with a little more space and was shown another room very similar, not worth switching, and then shown a room with very high ceilings on the first floor which seemed less awful. We moved; however, this room had a broken tv. Couldn’t get it to work the whole time. And AC didn’t work. Also shower had sediment come out of it like it hadn’t been used in weeks. Weird and kind of gross but didn’t want to switch again. On to breakfast, few choices with many empty and not refilled. Second day, had to hunt down a coffee cup as I was brought coffee in a pot but not cup. No spoons to be found either. No eggs this day either. Empty and not refilled. Dinner first night in Peacock Alley. Don’t bother. Overpriced sandwiches. Bland. Overpriced watered down drinks. Second night dined at La Veranda for the same price as my dry sandwich, I had a delicious salmon dish. Our dinner here was fabulous. No complaints. Overall, we were disappointed but the location was convenient. Probably better local hotels though.

Not the five star experience
Before our trip even started we were disappointed, the hotel failed to inform us that the spa would be shut during our stay. They only informed us a week before, the hotel did ‘upgrade’ our room, which we were thankful for. On arrival the reception staff were kind and attentive. Going into our room, it was not worth the money some people would have to pay for this. Also being on the first floor of the main building, we were woken up at 6:30am by the breakfast music. Our room were not very clean on arrival (other people’s hairs were found in the bath). The bar staff were rude, they ignored us to the point that we would have walked out without paying and they would have never noticed. This really upset us as we expected the 5 star treatment that others experience. Considering this was a special occasion, we came away feeling disappointed. Also, breakfast for €42 pp is ridiculous 5 stars or not!

Excellent Hotel, Great Staff — Highly Recommend!
Our 3-5 April 2025 stay at Waldorf Astoria Versailles - Trianon Palace was a completely wonderful experience. From the moment of check-in with Francoise at the registration desk, we were made to feel welcome and well cared for. Francoise personally showed us to our room, and reviewed with us the restaurants and other features of the hotel along the way. The rest of the staff members, including the concierge, Marcello, were equally attentive, helpful and courteous throughout our stay. In addition to our fantastic dinner at Gordon Ramsay au Trianon (Michelin starred restaurant inside the main hotel building), the highlight of our stay at Waldorf Astoria Versailles - Trianon Palace, was getting to know our host and server, Daria V., at the hotel’s main restaurant, La Véranda. Daria’s thorough professionalism, coupled with her positive attitude and delightful personality, made our time at this fabulous hotel an even more beautiful and unforgettable experience. Daria is a stellar representative of the Hilton brand, and being treated to the world-class hospitality that she and others like her deliver is why we return year after year to the Hilton family of hotels. Not a great experience
I was expecting a little bit more from this experience. The hotel's service was okay. If going, I recommend hiding valuables, including expensive garments. There was a sticky situation regarding an expensive puffer jacket and after two days of calling about it and knowing it was left in my hotel room, it was mysteriously found and brought back to me. However, hotel is safe and there is a gate that closes at night, which left a good feeling of security.

terrible service-staff act like they‘re doing you a favor
I’ve stayed in many hotels, but never have I encountered such consistently arrogant staff. From check-in to check-out, the attitude of most employee was condescending and dismissive. The front desk acted as if basic requests were outrageous demands.Restaurant staff behaved like they were royalty serving peasants. Even a simple question about amenities was met with eye rolls and curt replies. It’s a shame because the property itself is decent, but the unbearable superiority complex of the team ruined the experience. Stay here only if you enjoy being treated like an inconvenience.
