    Location can't be beat!

We really like Halepuna location, and it's a nicer newer hotel in Waikiki area. We had a gap stay so we chose Halepuna. It's easy to hear your neighbors, particularly if they are speaking loudly on the patio at 4am. :) We didnt know there was an amazing courtyard and patio area with lounge on the 8th floor so we definitely enjoyed that this time. The rooms are very small, so keep that in mind for families or longer stays. Otherwise it's really nice and well kept. We particularly love hopping across the street to eat at House Without a Key. Umi (in the hotel) has a great breakfast too. Water refill stations conveniently on main floor and by the fitness center. John 3:17

    Extremely Satisfied!

Love the Halepuna! My favorite characteristic is the “quiet ambiance”. Service is impeccable and rooms are clean and comfortable! Will gladly comeback!

So happy with my stay at Halepuna

Lovely room and ocean view. All staff were extremely helpful, pleasant and went out of their way to assist. Will definitely stay with them next time.

Great Stay in the Heart of Waikiki

The Halepuna, a sister property to the Halekulani across the street, is an ideal option for those looking for a central, clean, and modern hotel at a fantastic value. The staff are very friendly, especially valet and the front desk. We celebrated a birthday and a bottle of wine was sent to our room. Our room appeared exactly as advertised, oceanview with balcony. Note that because Halepuna is not beachfront, all ocean views will partially obscured either by the Halekulani or the Sheraton next door. However, the views are still excellent. Self-park and valet are the same price, so take advantage of the valet! Overall, we would stay here again and were pleased with the experience.

    Great for a buisness trip

An interesting hotel - worked *very* well for me for a conference but might not be so good for a relaxing vacation. Only one restaurant on premises but it's operated by a third party - breakfast is OK, but other meals can't be charged to room. Halekulani Bakery next door only open from 0630-1100 (IIRC) and not at all on Mon/Tues. And no room service. One can go to the Halekulani (30 secs across the road) and do room charges from there, which worked out well. Hotel public areas / room designs excellent. Front entrance is on a rather dingy dead-end alley (Helumoa Road) across from a garage / loading bay, which is a bit weird. Better to use the "back" entrance on Kalia Road (across from the Halekulani). Re the recent review which said "And if you are thinking of using your Amex benefits here - DON'T. You won't be upgraded, you won't get an early check-in and you won't get a late check-out." I *did* get early check in and an upgrade - the Amex deal says subject to availability. Checked out today at 0500 so late check out not relevant. Had a problem with breakfast charges at the Halekulani - I misread the Amex welcome letter and thought that brekkie could be had there. Went to House Without a Key and double checked on that and they confirmed that I *could* have breakfast there as part of the Amex deal - and so on the next day went with a colleague, and was told that we have to pay. Emailed Jay at the hotel and he agreed to comp both charges, so that worked out well in the end. Amex $100 credit also worked out well - and that *can* be used at the Halekelani. Would definitely stay again for a buiness trip,
