Good Budget&Family Hotel
The ride from the airport is fairly quick whether you take the shuttle bus or a taxi ( which are expensive btw ). The ride to the resort shows the devastation from Hurricane Dorian and also the recent bush fires. Once you get to the tiny lobby area you are directed to go to the auditorium to check in, get your bracelets and leave your luggage. You are then told, come back at 3 and " the bar is open ". That's it, no directions to the bathrooms, or the towel hut or anything, you and everyone else on your flight are just wandering around and sweating. Once 3 o'clock arrives we all then go back to the auditorium to line up AGAIN to get our room keys, told the "room is over there" and you wander away with your luggage. Fortunately a maintenance man took pity on us and showed us to our room. Thankfully it was the oceanfront room we had booked and we got the top floor ( only 2 levels in the buildings, and no elevator for those who are mobility challenged ). Our room while quite small was clean with 2 queen beds, a dresser/desk and shelves in the safe area, where the bar fridge is and a decent sized closet with plenty of hangers. The bathroom is VERY tiny, but everything has been updated, so that was great at least. The room was surprisingly sound proof with regards to the room next door, but the noise from the hallway was quite loud, esp with kids screaming and running around or people talking loudly . Luckily we're early risers so it wasn't that much of a bother to us. Meals: well, like all the other reviews the buffet is small and not a lot of choice, with most items being served at each meal, everyday. We saw bacon exactly twice though. The food is lukewarm unless it's fresh off the grill such as eggs or fish. Eventhough it is lukewarm, it's very good and quite possibly the freshest salads I've ever had in an A.I. The buffet is completely self serve, even the coffee/tea/pop/juice/water. All of it. The beer is from 2 different taps, the red wine is in a dispenser the white wine is also from a tap. The white wine is horrid, can't say what the beer or red wine tasted like as we didn't try them. We managed to get into one a la carte, despite booking on our first day. It was the Italian one and it was very good. The lobby bar is usually very busy, as it's the main bar and the beach bar has limited hours. The lobby bar closes at midnight, but that never bothered us as we were asleep before that. Both bars serve all their drinks in the same plastic cups, no matter what you're getting to drink or if it's the evening. It's like we're at a kid's birthday party but with alcohol, they don't even bother to have wine glasses either plastic or glass, just plastic juice cups. The pool itself is small for being the only one at the resort. Not a lot of loungers and a few umbrellas, which were bolted to the pool deck. The loungers here were reserved quite early, everyday. There is a lifeguard on duty there as well. The pool bar&grill has a decent amount of shade and tables&chairs. They frequently tell you they are "out of that right now, come back in an hour" and when you do go back, still nothing. The grill offers your typical burgers/hot dogs, fries and nachos. Never tried them. The beach is beautiful! However there are only 2 palapas and they are marked for wheelchair accessible only. There is some shade but that's only for the VIP members, they also get special seating in the buffet area, with waiter service. I've never been to a tropical vacation where there aren't palapas or umbrellas for shade. You are constantly trying to move your lounger around the little bit of shade the palm trees give. This is also the first place we've been to where we didn't need to reserve our loungers, even the ocean front ones. The water is a beautiful blue and you can feed the fish right on shore, or walk out to the buoy during low tide. Just ask Franklin the beach lifeguard and he'll show you where to feed them. Be careful for broken glass on the beach, not just the hotel beach but anywhere along the beach if you go for walks. It's not sea glass but huge pieces of thick glass, where if you happen to step on it, you will require stitches by the hotel doctor. It's a nice walk along the beach and some of the homes are stunning and huge! If you walk left along the beach ( with hotel behind and the beach in front ) and go for about 25-40 mins depending on your walking speed, you will come to a restaurant/bar called Banana Bay. They have great food and cold beer ( and other drinks ) and when the tide is out you can walk way way out and the water is only covering your feet! There are a few vendors on the beach, but they are't pushy like in other places we've been to visit. We bought a t shirt from the older man named Henry for $10. It's a nice t shirt Henry was a really nice man to talk to. There is a trapeze set up but it only seemed to be in use a few days out of the seven we were there. It always had a sign: UNDER MAINTENANCE whenever we walked by. We don't enjoy the entertainment that any resort usually has, so I can't comment fairly on that. It's just not something we like, usually we head to the casino to enjoy the slot machines, but this resort didn't have one. In the lobby is a desk where you can arrange a car rental , I would book ahead as they all tend to get rented out, and they have a small supply. The driving and the steering wheel are opposite to what we're used to in North America, but thankfully the roads aren't busy, so it wasn't too scary. I wouldn't try it myself if it was Nassau, as that is too busy. The airport is small, but that's okay because it means only 2 flights a time arriving/departing, so it's not busy at all, and everyone who works there is so friendly. Those are the main points that I can think of. Would we stay at this hotel again: NO. Are we glad we came though: YES. Would we recommend it: YES, as long as you know what you're getting. We felt that we got a good deal, so we could take advantage and rent a car and check out the island and some restaurants. This was our main purpose for choosing this place. Had we paid a lot of $$, then no it wouldn't have been worth it. I hope this makes sense and is of some help to those on the fence about booking.

Great resort stay with lots to do!
The workers here are so nice and make sure you're taken care of! The pool is very large and clean and the hot tub is in a nice, cozy area to the side. The beach/ocean view is gorgeous!! The rooms are a little small if you don't get any upgrades/pay for more, but we barely spent any time in ours so we didn't mind. They have so many activities at the resort and have a lot of excursions you can do with outside companies that they organize for you! Definitely recommend booking your reservations at the restaurants in advance, otherwise the buffet was good! And we recommend checking out the nightly shows! Overall we had a great time and would not hesitate to book again.

Reception of horror MME TACASHANE!!!
We are currently enjoying the hotel. I recommend it, excellent value for money. The negative was when we arrived at the theater where the bracelets were distributed. I WAS HUMILIATED BY ONE OF THE LADIES, FORTUNATELY A CANADIAN CAME TO MY AID BECAUSE I WAS IN SHOCK. The rest is pretty good.

great stay
The serving staff and especially the bartenders were outstanding! I loved the activities and the beach area that was groomed daily. Definitely take a walk down to Banana Bay. It was windy so the catamaran and kayaks were not really an option. If you are a VIP member your experience might be better than some of the previous reviews. The all inclusive was a good deal-if you like wine it is more than terrible so choose another drink. The Mexican and Italian restaurants were good. Remember you are not going to have gourmet food at an all-inclusive buffet. The rooms are a bit out-dated and you will need to wait for the water to get hot. Overall superb weather and a terrific staff.

I recommend
Beautiful 3.5 stars, very good à la carte restaurant food! Book as soon as you arrive at the hotel through the app as many people have not had a la carte restaurant reservations trying to book just the next morning. We booked by arriving the same day and we managed to get a reservation at each restaurant! The Mexican restaurant impeccable service and delicious meals! The Viva Café resto international those who love tuna c is a big wow and great service too! The Italian better than the buffet but service was very ordinary. Buffet c is good but redundant. The trip with the pigs 🐷 to make too funny and great beach. The city tour do not pay 75$ us per person too expensive, take instead the taxi to see the Port Lucaya c is enough about 60$ return taxi Walk on the beach! Go on the left to the reef next to Banana Bay restaurant in the morning c is beautiful On the right walk to the entrance of the canal the water is calm and amazing too! In short beaches as beautiful as Cuba but with good food!
