Disappointing and overpriced with RUDE reception!!!
Overpriced and massively underwhelming! Whilst most of the staff are super friendly. The reception staff are rude and obnoxious. The hotel is not managed properly as certain parts lack that direction of a properly managed and cared for hotel. The food is very limited with not really much flavour for the carribean! I arrived a day late due to my flight being cancelled and my room wasn't ready. Which I was rudely told I would have to wait! When I asked if I could check out a little later I was told NO unless I paid a further 70$. I wonder if the hotel will pay me 70$ for my room not being ready a day late? The beach towels were old and needed updating. My room never had a working phone or a bed side light. I had to ask three times for this to be rectified and only the light was fixed! On another occasions housekeeping cleaned my room for then to find she had taken all the towels and not replaced them. This took then over an hour for reception to orgainse more towels. Even my room was cleaned it was left still dirty. The beach was nice. The pool was small. The drinks were OK. Very disappointing on the whole!!

Girls trip at Viva
The resort is easy to get around. The rooms and beds were clean and comfy. Food at the buffet was repetitive but good. You are strongly encouraged to book your sit down meals wayyyyyy in advance as we tried to get reservations the morning of our second day and it was impossible. It was my friends 50 and we had to have the Sunwing rep reach out to the resort managers to get a reservation. Extremely disappointed about the fact that we could not access the dinners easily. It should not be listed online if they cannot fulfill this requirements. Staff was mostly friendly expect one very rude bartended at the main bar.

Old person boring resort
Grandma and grandpa type resort!! I am here with my girlfriend for two weeks. We are 27yrs old Jan 4-18 for us the Rooms, food, beach are excellent! Resort is clean and nice No complaints there the Entertainment grew is alright nothing special Other then that the Pool is freezing so nobody in it, hot tub is discussing green! Worst of all the bartenders are grumpy not lively at all and judge you if you drink a lot or want a stiff drink, don’t like your job find a new one! ( it’s all inclusive) Ask to fill a yeti mug and say they can’t fill it full. Did the cave and beach tour $100 cad each was 3.5 hrs total with travel 30 min waste of money Over all I’d say it’s a good resort to sleep on the beach other then that go somewhere more fun pretty boring

Wish it could have been better!
My family and I stayed at the Viva Fortuna Beach over the New Years Holiday. So here are a couple of positives. The resort staff I found to be very friendly an happy. I only encountered 2 that were not. One worked at Guest services and the other was a bartender at the main bar. I found the property to be very clean and well kept. Marco that takes care of the pool area does a fantastic job. Always working hard. Very friendly and nice to talk to. Our cleaning lady was also very good. She made sure we had what we needed and did a great job keeping our room clean. She was also very nice and friendly. The beach was nice. I walked a fair distance and felt safe. I wasn't bothered by anyone try to sell me stuff. The water was clear sand was clean very little rocks. Now some negatives. There was no information package in the room. Like don't drink the water its only for bathing or a list of the shows that were coming up in the theater ect.... Was told when we checked in we couldn't book the a la carts until the next day. I went the next morning at 8:45 and they were all booked . We were put on a wait list. Now the biggest draw back to this resort is the food. The buffet seemed to be the same recycled food from the day before. It was never hot. In fact not once did I see a kitchen staff member walking around taking food temperatures. The New Years Gala buffet was a disaster. They offered 2 seating's for dinner. There wasn't enough of the specialty food for everyone. We were supposed to get prime rib and lobster. That didn't happen. The same goes for the champagne at Midnight. They ran out of that too. What a joke. Because of my experience on this trip it will be highly unlikely that I would return to Viva Fortuna Beach. I see very little to no value.

Animation team is amazing, especially Mr Daddy Cool and the beach is nice!
Well, I will start with the positive part of my review. The beach is nice and the animation team is amazing. Especially the head of animation, Jean Carlos also called as „Daddy cool“ is extremely engaged and professional. He is the born entertainer, super friendly, giving a helping hand and always with a smile on his face! He made us feel welcome from day one! He even managed to organize beach towels for us, as the hotel is obviously struggling with the supply of beach towels (there were none for 3 days). Ms Keva fron the guest service is also one of the employees I would like to mention in a positive way, she is amazing! Same goes for Mr Camal (waiter). They know what a good guest service means!!! Well, for the rest. The hotel is not really worth to be called a 4 star hotel. The local employees are not really friendly, especially those on the front desk. The food is always the same and there is sonetimes even no drink water available at the bar. I visited some Viva Wyndham hotels all over the world but the quality of this one was the lowest so far… Hope this is helpful! :)
