Will not be returning to this resort
Just returned from a stay here, and I honestly cannot recommend this hotel, mainly due to the poor customer service. My reservation came with a few promotional offers, and I took extra care to confirm the details with the pre-reservation team to ensure I knew exactly what to expect. However, when I arrived, I found I had been misinformed. I requested to speak with a supervisor and unfortunately had one of the worst interactions I’ve ever experienced. Ivan, the supervisor on duty that day, was incredibly unprofessional. Typically, my interactions with hotel staff in Mexico are fantastic, but Ivan’s response was dismissive at best. When I expressed my concerns, he literally said, 'What do you want me to do about it?' which left me speechless. We were fortunate enough to encounter Marlena who supplemented the offer and allowed us to take advantage of the activities but had to go through a "tour" which we actually found it to be a timeshare experience. My experience with the pre-reservation team and especially having to deal with the supervisor Ivan, really tarnished what could have been a pleasant stay, and I won’t be returning to this hotel.

KIKI
I HAVE BEEN A MEMBER HERE FOR 22 years. This place is tops! But during this trip, i participated in the Zumba class. I do dance classes EVERYDAY! I am also a ZIN…which is a Zumba Dance Instructor…My favorite dance teacher here was KIKI. HE IS ONE OF THE BEST TEACHERS of Zumba dance I have done. I WISH I could take Him home to the US with me!

Exercise on Vacation
I did the water class with Charly yesterday. It was great. He ensures you get a good workout. It is designed for all levels of “ athletes”. He makes it fun and was even in the water with us. I elected not to use the “weights” but still got a good workout.

I love this place!
I love this resort. The people are wonderful and welcoming, the food is great, and the beach/pool are fantastic. While the resort is not the most upscale, it is clean, safe and well taken care of. This resort is my favorite place in Mexico to go.

A wonderful vacation at Villa del Palmar
I just had a great vacation at the Villa del Palmar. Aside from the people who work at the reception desk, the employees are spectacular. They are the kindest, friendliest, most willing to help people that you will ever meet. In particular, Alfredo, the pool concierge, all the waiters at breakfast especially Hugo, Juan Carlos, Eriberto, Carlos, Etelvina, Celestino....the bellboys; Jesus, Joel, Ismael, David, Carlos...my maid Elena, and Emiliano, a waiter at night. These people lovingly do everything they can to help you enjoy your stay. More delightful people you will never meet! The showers are very difficult to get out of...aside from that the resort is wonderful.
- AdvisoryBeginning May 6th the hotel is removing the Villa del Mar section of the hotel to construct new buildings. The construction site will be closed off to minimize noise. Some locations and services of outlets may change from time to time. Scheduled completion is 2027.
