    Our Second Home

Villa del Palmar is one of those places you must experience to believe. The food is top notch. The service is top tier. Whether you're there for a vacation getaway, celebrate an occasion, or just because, VDP won't let you down. I will say they have great restaurants that caters to those that love variety. Also, there are plenty of things you can do both on and off the resort that staff can help accommodate....massages, fishing, sailing, golf...you name it, they can do it. The entertainment staff is one of the main reasons we go back year after year. My wife and I have "adopted" a few of them. Alana, Chloe, and Alberto are excellent at what they do. During the day, you'll see them poolside engaging with guests playing fun games, doing water aerobics, or stopping by for a simple chat. At night is where they truly shine. Each play a part in different musicals that gets the crowd feeling good. I appreciate all of the folks given what they do on the daily, but these three fine souls go above and beyond to ensure people are satisfied. For the servers, Carlos is outstanding and greets you as if you've known him for years. In their sportsbar, one server Ira (her name is longer, but I forget what it was 😌) was fantastic to us and she became one of our close friends. Needless to say, a few tears were shed saying goodbye on our last day there before coming home. That's how much this place, and its members, meant to us! I recommend Villa del Palmar be the place to come to when you're in Cabo. But don't just take my word for it - go check it out for yourself!

Amazing experience with my mom at the Villa Del Palmar

First vacation in Mexico with my mother to celebrate my birthday, Villa del Palmar has been absolutly amazing and unforgattable! The staff is so kind & so helpful! We had Jose as our server at the breakfast buffet almost everyday & he is the best, the sweetest! We will miss him! At Bella California, for diner we had Carlos as our server! Amazing server, we had amazing chats & great recommendations from him..for thing to try & do during our vacation in Los Cabos! Our server at the adult only pool, Jose, was helpful & caring! We had the best service everyday from him, for our drinks & food! We loved his smile! Finally, to the shuttle team, Armando, Efrain, Luis & Edhar, thank you for leaving us with a smile on our way back to the airport! All the staff made the experience amazing & we will definitly be back! Thank you! Everything was perfect! I would recommend to everybody to stay at the amazing resort!

Scam, poor service, pushy sales people

This resort SCAMMED me out of $1248 USD. Read more for how! Following, you can read about why this was the most frustrating resort I’ve ever stayed at, and how they tainted my first trip to Mexico. I rarely post bad reviews. However, I feel the need to warn fellow travelers of this SCAM of a resort. When I booked this resort in October, 2023, I had booked on an early bird special where we paid half ahead, and half when we checked in. I had trouble running my card online because they require the same card at check in that you used to book, so I was not able to book on my card as my card would be expired by the time our trip came around. I called customer service and they said it was no problem, I just needed to call when I got my new credit card to update my card information prior to our stay. So I did that. When I went to update my card information, I was I was told they needed to refund my original payment and rebook with my new card. I had concerns about refunding to an expired card but they assured me it would be no problem, and my concerns were ignored. This was in AUGUST, 2023. It is now JANUARY, 2024. When they sent me the “refund” confirmation, it looked like it was sloppily typed into a word doc. So I called my bank to confirm they have no received the funds. They haven’t. So I reached out to Villa Group again, back in November of 2024, and have followed up, politely and patiently, twice. No response! How convenient. Now let’s get to the service. I had spoken with Jose a month or so before our trip, and he was wonderful in helping us plan our excursion. And to be honest, the excursions were fantastic! I have to give credit where credit is due. The food here was actually pretty good. Unfortunately, the service was incredibly slow. The check-in process was SO SLOW. It took us 45 minutes to get checked in, despite there only being one family in front of us. Before we could get to our room, we were STOPPED at the elevator and not allowed to enter the elevator until we listened to some sale’s person’s pitch about their excursions. They didn’t care when we told them we already booked three. I had to beg the woman to let us go to our room after a day of traveling and 45+ minutes of waiting in the hot lobby. I was then told to come back to get my tickets for our excursions. So I did. Another man began giving me his pitch for excursion, so I had to repeat, again, that we had already booked three excursions and politely asked for our tickets so I could go to our dinner reservation I was running late for. We also had a spa reservation. We showed up the reservation at the time we were told, only to be sent away because they didn’t have our reservation in the system, although we had already paid. They eventually made it right, but wasted over an hour of our morning making us wait around. Our final night was the final nail in the coffin. My family and I went to get appetizers and drinks at the resort before going to a show. We waited for 30+ minutes for our check and were late to the show. I would normally not be too upset about these individual incidents as I understand humans make mistakes and I’ve always been kind and patient with customer service workers. But it seemed that with this resort, it was one thing after the other, and I’m still waiting for my $1248 that they stole.

    Family fun

We really enjoy our stay in Villa del Palmar. As a family with a very active teenage boy, we really appreciate the water sports available at the resort. We enjoy Paddle boarding with Omar. Great teacher, with a lot of patience and experience. Super fun activity for everyone. Thanks Omar

Lobby Bar at Villa la Valencia, Cabo San Lucas

I grew up never drinking alcoholic beverages at all. I have slowly learned about different kinds of drinks. My visit to Villa La Valencia ended up giving me a chance to learn about tequilas, mezcals, rums, and cocktails. Arturo did an excellent job leading a mixology class in which we learned to make a mezcalita and an old fashioned. We learned about the tools that bartenders use to make cocktails. He shared great insights into how he has experimented to make new kinds of cocktails. Two other bartenders served us in the Lobby Bar. Kevin provided much information about rums and tequilas, suggesting some excellent ones for me to try. Orleans offered interesting and flavorful options to flavor some classic cocktails in new ways. They are friendly and skillful. I spoke with a guest who is a professional bartender in the US, and he was effusive about the insight and ideas he was learning from Arturo. All sole English, which gave me good opportunities to both practice my Spanish and get past any limitations by mixing in some English.
