Stayed at the Gran Ventana in May 2025 with my boyfriend both of us are in our 20’s. The resort is really nice and very clean always someone picking up glasses. It is also on the smaller side so it is less crowded and quiet. Also really pleased with the buffet. However I recommend for any one of the same age or individuals looking to party that this resort is not for you. There is barely any activities and not a lot of socializing. I expected this coming into the resort but I was still a little disappointed!

This was our second trip to the VH Gran Ventana and we were not disappointed. Was really nice already being familiar with the resort and the staff. A short 20-25 minute drive from the airport is a great bonus especially when traveling with a 3 1/2 year old. Upgraded to premium as we enjoy the private section on the beach and the vintage club is a really nice space to relax and get a drink. Pro's: Smaller resort so easy for kids and people with mobility issues. Well kept and clean Beach is cleaned/maintained daily Food quality and selection is good Con's Coffee at the breakfast buffet is not great and was sometimes challenging to get. Rooms are clean and adequate, but could use a refresh. As we were returning guests we expected a banner on our door but did not have one, but not a big deal. Resort technically has 2 pools, but the quirt pool is out of the way and does not seem to be used by many people. This resort is not a party resort and seems to attract seniors and families so keep this in mind when booking Overall I would recommend this resort and we're planning a third trip back.🌴

Great Resort. First time to the Dominican. Have been to many other resorts in other countries
Excellent resort. Private beach area was perfect. Food was great. Service from our in house person, Santa, was above & beyond! The local Transat rep, Freddy was also great! The upgrade was fantastic. Really liked the Vintage Club. Pool was too busy for us but we prefer the beach & it was amazing!

Great little resort
Well we are in our first week of a two week here and it is great, beach is nice and clean, rooms are clean, fridge always has what it is supposed to have. All staff is great. Yes it rained more then we like BUT IT'S A CHANCE YOU TAKE . Not the resorts fault. Size of property is perfect , food is ALWAYS good, our maid(milady) is lovely😍, seneida at ocean grill is a pure joy😍 the lifeguard(costoba) colombo)? Can't spell it😄is super. We have had NO problems with any thing!! Vendors on the beach are not pushy( just say no thank you) if you don't want to buy from them.. we come to relax and this is the best, we will be back!!!!!

Awesome resort
Just returned home from a fabulous week here. Travelled with our friends. The beach is beautiful we enjoyed it daily! We mailed and asked for certain rooms and our requests were fulfilled! We were all very pleased with our rooms. The buffet was very good lots of choices. Enjoyed the a la carts very much! The staff were very friendly throughout the resort. The Ocean Grill was our favourite and the view of the beach is spectacular. Best chicken wings at the lunch buffet! We enjoyed a trip into town with Johnny who you can find going down the driveway outside the front entrance. The rate was very reasonable and he is an awesome tour guide! The only recommendation I have is to remove beach chairs that are no longer serviceable! We will definitely return!
