    Super stay at El Cid!

Another excellent stay at El Cid. All three properties are beautiful. This is a well maintained property with lots of attention to the detail. Food was excellent, always a great variety of fresh food. We had great butler service from Cali, Jose-Ivan and Camille. Thanks to them our stay was more comfortable and relaxing!

Three Resorts in One – The Ultimate Riviera Maya Escape

We stayed at Ventus Marina El Cid in April for spring break, and I honestly can't say enough great things about the experience! One of the biggest highlights was having full access to all three resorts in the complex—Ventus at Marina El Cid, Ventus Ha, and Hotel Marina El Cid. Each one offered a unique vibe, which made our stay feel endlessly dynamic, with plenty of pools, restaurants, and activities to explore. Ventus Ha had a lush, tropical atmosphere that reminded me of Tulum—earthy, serene, and beautifully designed. We especially loved starting our mornings at Akat, one of the restaurants on that property. The food was fantastic, and the ambiance—overlooking a small lagoon where the kids could watch alligators—made it even more memorable. The à la carte lunch there was a standout; a refreshing change from traditional buffets, with fresh, flavorful options served in a stunning setting. One of our absolute favorite spots on the property was the rooftop pool—it was quiet, beautifully designed, and offered breathtaking views, making it the perfect place to unwind in the afternoons. Hotel Marina El Cid Spa & Beach Resort was a hit with our kids. They couldn’t get enough of the huge rock wall they could jump off and the waterslide, and there was always something fun happening with the resort's entertainment team. The buffet there made lunch super convenient, especially when we wanted something quick in between activities. Ventus at Marina El Cid,(where we had our oceanfront suite) was the perfect balance—relaxing oceanfront pools, hot tubs, and a more peaceful but still family-friendly vibe. One of the biggest advantages of our stay was opting for the Platinum Butler Service, which took our experience to the next level. Gerson, Omar, and Alan were incredibly helpful in securing dinner reservations each night and making sure everything ran smoothly. Their attentiveness and kindness really stood out. The food across all properties was truly exceptional. For a quick and delicious lunch, we loved Dolores Mercado—a beautifully organized market-style buffet with stations serving everything from ceviche, crepes, and poke bowls to fresh salads, Mexican dishes, and a coffee shop-style dessert bar. Every restaurant had its own unique theme and atmosphere, and the quality of the cuisine was genuinely top-tier. We especially loved the marina seafood restaurant, the French and Mexican restaurants, and the Hibachi-style dining—each one felt like a special experience. Evenings were a treat as well. There was nightly entertainment, and the shows were impressively professional and tons of fun—our kids looked forward to them every night. Afterward, they loved swimming under the stars at Ventus Ha, while my husband and I enjoyed relaxing with cocktails at Senses, a gorgeous, upscale bar on the property. The beach was ideal for families—calm, shallow water made it perfect for kids, and we took full advantage of the complimentary paddle boards and kayaks to explore the quiet inlet. For those looking for more of a classic Riviera Maya beach experience, there’s a scenic path past the marina that leads to a more open beach with waves and crystal-clear water, perfect for swimming—we went there a few times and loved it. Overall, this resort complex delivered on every level. Whether you’re looking to relax, entertain the kids, or indulge in incredible food, Ventus Marina El Cid and its sister properties offer something for everyone. We’re already talking about coming back!

    Sebastian Moyao was the best...

This resort we have been to several times. Our butler Sebastian Moyao was an excellent butler. Anything we needed he was there to set things up and he was always pleasant. He was super efficient in getting our pickup from room and taxi driver lined up when we left. We will request him next time we visit.

    Highly Recommended!

Excellent overall resort with exceptionally friendly staff! Everyone was accommodating, the food was great, the room service was timely and thorough. We had an amazing time! The only caveat is that we had to leave after a week haha. Looking forward to returning in the future!

    A beautiful, well-managed resort

My husband and I stayed at Ventus at Marina El Cid to honor our wedding anniversary, and it was truly a very special experience. We were lucky to get a 1- bedroom suite on the 4th floor with an incredible view of the ocean. The room was really spacious and the bed and pillows were super soft. The bar-sized fridge was actually quite large. The mini bar service was excellent. Every day a nice minibar worker stopped by to give us more water and beverages and snacks. The cleaning service was superb. Big shoutout to Yabona, who did a beautiful job cleaning our room every day and was super sweet and pleasant. She even brought us coffee filters since we like to brew our own coffee! Interval International was apparently running a special because we also got an upgrade to Platinum for no extra charge, which was a big surprise. We had never experienced this amenity before and certainly never had butler service so we didn’t know what to expect. Our butlers Sebastian and Braulio were amazing! They seemed to get to know our schedule and patterns right away, because they popped by to see us whenever we needed them, and were super helpful and kind. The property is huge, with three adjoining resorts, so some restaurants were quite far. It was lovely for our butlers to arrange an occasional ride in their motorized carts that would zip us places in minutes. They also reserved all our dinners and were able to get us the exact times we wanted. And they also gave us good advice about the resort itself and always asked us about our needs, getting us extras when needed. We are not fussy people, but having these two great butlers really made it a wonderful vacation. The infinity pools were gorgeous and we really liked the hot tubs, too. The bar service by the pools was also excellent. We really liked the cafe Aroma for the delicious baked goods and sandwiches. And all the restaurants were really good. The only few downsides to this resort were: first, the $60 per device internet fee, which we felt was rather outrageous and a ploy to get people to go to the timeshare presentation so they could get the fee down to $30 per device. We did not go to the presentation as our vacation time is too valuable and we already own a timeshare. Secondly, when we arrived we were told our room wasn’t ready, and the concierge spent the best part of an hour explaining the discounts we would get by going to the sales pitch. Even though we said up front we were definitely not interested. It made us wonder if the room truly wasn’t ready yet. But this is their job and they tried their best. We just wish this pitch would have occurred later so we could get to our room and start our vacation right away. Lastly, the beach was quite a disappointment in that it was muddy and full of seaweed and not fit for swimming. The breakers really blocked the swimming area. We did however enjoy the free kayaks and the three guys who helped us with them were really nice. Kudos to Ivan, Angel and Julio! Aside from those few issues, we had a wonderful week at Ventus. The resort is immaculately clean, full of lush greenery and beautifully designed. And the very best part was the staff. Every person we encountered was very friendly and very professional. They truly made it an unforgettable week. Thank you!
