May 07, 2025Wouldn’t come back
The resorts are beautiful and the rooms are clean, but that’s where the good ends. Most of the servers (there were some good ones) ignore you once your order is in. Taking the carts are hit and miss. There is a strong rotten egg smell by the lakes, which happen to be by a lot of the restaurants. The food is fine, nothing great. The bathroom lights run on sensors, and go out every 10 seconds unless you wave your arm like a loon. I wanted to like this place, but would not recommend.

We arrived in Mexico on 27/4 for 10 nights. The hotel was gorgeous and the staff were all so friendly and helpful. We arrived at check in and were given a glass of sparkling wine and then we were taken with our luggage via a golf cart to our room. We were welcomed by our butler Carlos. Carlos was amazing and made our holiday! He could not do enough for us, always made sure we had everything we needed and helped us with diner reservations and birthday decorations in the room and at dinner. The infinity pool was lovely with great views of the sea. There were plenty of different activities by the pool each day which were fun. We spent each morning having breakfast at Carpaccio which was great food. The Ala carte menu was very good and the breakfast buffet was even better there was so much choice from fresh fruit, yoghurts, crepes, fresh bakery. We were welcomed each day by Laura who was lovely and friendly and always helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel, it’s beautiful, staff are very friendly and helpful. Lots of places to eat for dinner, the food is good quality.

Well deserved relax and chill
I have to start the review with the experience before we arrived. We had decided that we wanted to see the CHIC cabaret show, as we didn't want to do any excursions and would use the money for the show instead. It was a good decision! I found a link to 'Gastroentertainment Experiences' which is a business WhatsApp account and the phone number is +529841881283. Anyway, a lovely lady called Eleonora responded straight away (I messaged at 19:45 UK time, so 13:45 Mexico time) and literally within a minute she had replied! She enabled us to book CHIC before we went and it was an extremely easy experience. She also went above and beyond by booking us a restaurant for the day we arrived, as I knew there wouldn't be any availability at the speciality restaurants for us. Having said that, I'm not sure I would do that again, as being a TRS guest, you can go to a fabulous buffet/a la carte restaurant called 'The Nest' without needing to book. OK, so we get there and be aware, Cancun airport can take a while to release luggage as they screen everything. We waited an hour! Transport to TRS took about 65 minutes, better than we were expecting and we had asked for a room on a higher floor (we normally insist on a ground floor room) to try and avoid mosquitoes! Well, spoiler alert, zero bites in two weeks!! First time ever. We didn't use any bands, just Skin So Soft and it worked like a treat. Room 6429 was amazing. My wife is particularly fussy about clean mirrors, and they were. Air Con noise took a little getting used to, but after a couple of days it was fine. Butler service was great; we had Antonio, Andrea and Francisco. They will do anything for you and having the daily WhatsApp message about what was on was alos great, even though you can get it on the Palladium app as well. Some of the restaurants can't be booked on the app, so make sure you use them as they magically are able to do it for you. Food-wise, Helios for breakfast gets very busy, so be prepared to wait if you're not there at 8.00 when it opens for buffet (you can do a la carte earlier). We were both on diets so I'm not sure we got the best out of the restaurants but there are so many to choose from. Best for us were La Paisana, La Boheme, Chang Thai and as I said, The Nest. Drink choices and service are much better on the TRS side, but if you want to experience the whole resort, there are some stunning places to see. CHIC show is a must. Quality performers, quality food (7 courses, but each was small and just the right amount of time between them for us, even being on a diet). Service for us wasn't great as the servers tended to favour the larger groups, but it was OK. Cleanliness of the room was great, though some areas poolside did need a bit of attention e.g. the loungers weren't moved to sweep underneath. Not a biggie, but just room for improvement. I went on the blue route walk every day which goes around the whole site and it was pretty good. If you don't want to walk, there are PLENTY of buggies around and even if you haven't called one, they often slow down and ask if you want a ride. We went to the Infinity pool each day and found it enjoyable and relaxing (some days there were some louds people and also the DJ they have wasn't playing our type of music, but I guess can't please all the people, etc., as most seemed to be having fun. Loungers - OMG how comfortable are they! Yes, you do have to get up early to get a spot next to the pool and by early I mean most are gone by 7.45, though there are people patrolling and will take things off 'reserved' beds of no one has been on them for a while (going for a meal is OK, but longer isn't). Don't blame the hotel for this, it's the holidaymakers that create the issue. Overall, we had a fantastic time, super relaxed and chilled. Weather was amazing (18/4-2/5) with only a couple of showers the whole time. If you want a beach, you can walk to it 5 minutes, we didn't, but horses for courses. Totally recommend.

Villa 65 Mafer
Mafer made our trip the most seamless we’ve had yet. She put together all the dinner reservations we wanted, set up countless transfers, and got us an early morning breakfast before our flight out. She is such a special person and works so hard at making everyone who stays in her villa happy. Thank you for such a fun experience Mafer!

Birthday vacation
My husband and I traveled to TRS Yucatán for my birthday. The whole experience was magical. I cannot wait to return. We loved the adult only- all inclusive aspect. The hotel itself is spectacular and well kept. Every member of staff goes above and beyond to make your stay the absolute best. Our butlers Gustavo and Alexis attention to detail made our stay so memorable. We’d really love to thank them so much for all they did. We were never bored. The room was always spotless. The spa and massages were first class. The food was impeccable. And the pools and bars were top notch. It’s amazing how much time we spent in the lobby just because it was so beautiful. We cannot wait to return. Thanks again to everyone who made it an amazing birthday.
