Dec 01, 2024Very nice 2nd trip !
We went from the 19-26 of November for the second time and we were not disapointed. If you really want to complain, you always can, but overall, we have high standards, and they were met ! The TRS complex is clean, calm and pleasant. Room: we were in building 67, close to the infinity pool, and it was perfect. The products are l'occitane, which is really nice, there is a nespresso machine with cups, and the mini bar is fully stocked everyday. The bed is also very confortable. P.s special mention to JOSE our night butler of villa 67. Food/Bar: first of all, huge shout out to IGNACIO at the infinity pool bars, ROBERTO at Tentazione restaurant and CESAR at Capricho/La Boheme, all excellent services. Overall, the food is really really good, for the buffet and the A la carte restaurant. For two, food and alcohol, it was at least worth 300$ canadian dollar a night, without counting our pre-dinner drinks. Our favorites were Tentazione, El Gaucho, and the mexican night at Capricho. Entertainement/ Others: The gym is well furnished, for a hotel gym. A lot of activities are offered - yoga, pilates, stetching, pool bike, cooking classes and tasting. The music (at the pool, DJ, live music) could be a little better or more "authentic latin", but it's really not a downside. The location of the infinity pool is ideal, overlooking the sea, but if you're looking for a hotel with a beach, it's maybe not the best, since the TRS beach section is either a 30 min (nice beach) walk, or a 8 min shuttle service We will go back eventually, for sure !

This is mine and my husbands second visit to the TRS & we had the best time and will definitely be travelling back soon! The TRS really goes above and beyond to deliver an outstanding experience and think of every detail, and somehow find a way to exceed your expectations before you have any set. There is truly something for anyone with the spa, beach, multiple pools, delicious food and sports centre! The staff is what really sets apart the experience! Yanco from the sports centre, Tapia the shuttle driver/bellboy and our butler George were only a few of the exceptional staff that made our experience amazing! If anyone is considering visiting, this is your sign to book your vacation and have the best week of your life :)

TRS Yucantan Hotel, Akumal Mexico
We've just spent 10 days at TRS Yucatan to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. The staff are extremely welcoming and friendly, and nothing is too much for them. Our villa 69 was more than we expected. Our butlers Veronica and Eric went above and beyond to make our stay so memorable. The staff at the poolside bar La Terraza - Maria Cohuich and Francisco Che really spoilt us. With the service we experienced here, we would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit Mexico.

5 Star Staff
This hotel is improved a Star by the staff. The hotel itself is fine. The dining is a bit of a palaver as you need to be booked in to one of the A La Carte restaurants (there isn’t a 5 Star non-bookable option like a buffet you think there would be)((you will discover this on your first night as you inevitably won’t have a reservation anywhere)). The Helios breakfast overly complicated maitre d’ system means you usually spend more time in the waiting room waiting to be seated than dining. The food is good if not what I would imagine is authentic Mexican. For us, the perfect spot at this hotel was at the TRS beach where we were looked after by Marco May and the La Jarra staff. Marco is an absolute gent, he was always ready with a smile and a drinks suggestion. There is a really good grill lunch at La Jarra if you don’t want to leave your lounger during the day. Bar Terraza pool bar is an another relaxed spot away from the Infinity pool we enjoyed. Maria Cahuich and Fransico Che looked after us brilliantly there. Maria works tirelessly to ensure you are fully hydrated throughout the day and there are some pretty good burgers and wraps for lunch there. All the staff at TRS are brilliant, Islas was a constant joy, and it’s the staff that would be our reason for returning.

Amazing time away
I had an amazing time, everyone was so friendly and helpful. The food and atmosphere was the best. Our butlers were also extremely helpful, Maggie and Ramón were always there to answer any questions we had and quick to fix any issues that took place.
