Fantastic stay, we will be coming back.
This was our favourite holiday, the location, accommodation and service was absolutely fantastic and we have already started planning our next trip. The staff were so friendly and I can’t recommend the resort enough. Our butlers Gabriel and Belen from Villa 70 went the extra mile to make our stay magical. Thank you so much and we will be back.

An incredible stay at TRS Yucatan hotel!
I just visited TRS Yucatan Hotel in celebration of our honeymoon, and I was mesmerized to see their luxurious accommodations. Their staff behaviour is also excellent, and I would love to visit again. I was impressed by the efficient check-in/check-out process of the hotel. We were able to enjoy the amenities after checking out while waiting for our transportation to arrive. Our butlers Maggie and Andrea were always very attentive to our needs. Fernanda, the Expedia ambassador helped facilitate our stay. We really enjoyed the on-site restaurants, the food was delicious and the service was excellent. The CHIC cabaret show is a MUST!

Poor Experience (During/after)
Firstly we came to the TRS Yucatan last January 2024 and we loved it so much we wanted to come every year. But with the very disappointing trip this year and the difficulties from the TRS management team post holiday makes me re-think where I want my holiday. We came on holiday as a group (4) and the 2 we came with had requested 2 beds previous to arriving. The hotel put us in the same building but they had 1 bed to share. They could move them to a room with 2 beds but it would move them far away from our building which we didn't want. The building we got into (Villa 60) had so much construction noise outside with the new footpath being built & it seemed like there was a wedding event every day and the music was so loud being played at night. The aircon had a loud tapping noise when it was on which made it difficult to sleep. Not only that but it was also dripping into the bathtub with visible wet marks on the ceiling. Damp leads to mould and we both developed coughs while staying in this room. We asked if there were any other rooms available in Villa 60 but there were none. Alfonso (Alonso?) - The chef at the infinity pool BBQ area was very rude to me when I asked if I could have some vegetables on my plate by giving me a dirty look and ignoring me. I think this is because I thought I could grab my own burger bun and he said 'No No' and waved his hand at me. We booked Helios dinner and upon arrival we were told my girlfriend wasn't dressed suitably (a 2 piece dress) when 2 other females were very similarly dressed and did not get told the same. The members of staff walked by 2-3 times staring at my girlfriend and made her SO uncomfortable to the point we were going to walk out. We stayed but did not enjoy the experience. My girlfriend ordered the red snapper as a main at the Mexican night at Carpachio and it came out raw in the centre. We complained when they brought out a fresh meal and the chef came and apologised, we said thank you and the meal was great. BUT as my girlfriend ate some of the first meal she woke up the next morning being sick and was not well the next day. Most importantly to me I asked my GF to marry me while there, I asked reception/butler if there were any nice places to do it. Everyone tried to book/pay restaurants to do it, i didn't want to do it at a restaurant or pay for a place to do it so I didn't get help and didn't give me a location to do it. Hugo and Alexis were great butlers - Isreal was a bit rude so we tried to avoid booking with him at all costs. Again, we came last year and had NO issues so we are quite shocked about this year. After the holiday I wrote a complaint email to the team hoping we could rectify the issues with some kind of compensation for the constant failures BUT i was met with more! The email I got back was PLACES TO ASK MY GF TO MARRY HER - I had already done it was was at home...this proved to me they don't even read complaints emails. I must be 5-6 emails deep now asking for an update on my situation and I keep getting the same reply ' we will forward your complaint to the relevant departments' but its been 2 weeks now and still got nothing back.

Second visit - just as wonderful!
We rarely visit a resort for a second time but with vacation prices the way they are - we knew we would be well taken care of at TRS. Were we ever right!! Everything was terrific for our second visit and we even found new things to do! We arrived to sparkling champagne and a surprise room upgrade pool suite (thank you TRS). We were in the pool every afternoon (and no fighting for a chair) lol Our ebutler Laura took care of us with our wish list and booking our first three nights of dinners. Communication was a breeze. Our favourite places to eat were: Tentazione, Helios and El Gaucho. We also got room service for lunch. The tacos and charcuterie were off the charts awesome. Food arrived hot and within 30 minutes. Thank you to our all star servers Jesus, Oscar, Alejandro, Juan, Jose, Edith, Erasmo and Ricardo. We booked Chic again and the pre show is just an excellent way to begin your night. This year, on our butler Maggie’s advice, we booked Bingo. Do it! For $20, we laughed and had such a great night! We did not win but loved the show and Diego as MC. Activities are a plenty on the resort. We made guacamole, drank tequila, ate chocolate, tried archery and rifle shooting and took Spanish lessons. The POP team was superior with special shout out to Diego, Fernando, Alessandra and Andres. We have arrived back to our snowy home and already dreaming of our next visit. Thanks to our butlers for taking such good care of us during our week away Andrea and Maggie.

Fernando is the best
Fernando was so helpful in sorting out plans and telling us what was going to be happening at the resort during our stay! He also helped by giving some recommendations of places to visit of the resort and different activities he thought we would enjoy.
