A really great resort. The staff are all kind, the property is beautiful, and the rooms were clean and well stocked! We did the all inclusive and we were a little saddened at the pay wall for items, still. The coffee shop was extra, golfing is extra, premium food items are extra, and some other things. We paid a lot to be here and did the all inclusive- we wanted the all inclusive! The beach is also a public beach and actually has a lot of trash around it. They provide buckets to clean up which is fun to do but sad at the conditions. The food was mediocre, truly. The Asian restaurant was definitely the best but it's very small and really hard to get into- we had to call the concierge like twice a day. The other restaurants were all fine and the buffet was fine but nothing amazing.

Went here for almost a week right before Turkey Day w a total of 10 people (incl. 4 kids ages 11-17). We had 3 resort bungalows. Everyone had a great time! The rooms were great sizes to have extra space and the balcony’s offered even more space and some quiet! The resort is set up with the family bungalows closest to the pool. That being said, the grandparents didn’t have a family bungalow and they were only a few minutes walk to the pool (or they have golf cart type shuttles you can easily take). I loved sitting on the balcony in the rocking chairs reading and sometimes hearing the howler monkeys, usually in the am. We saw iguanas, monkeys and some very crazy looking grasshoppers! The kids loved the buffet that we went to on most days for breakfast and lunch. We had dinner there one night for their seafood night and it was really good! The other restaurants were good as well and we always left each meal feeling very full! The kids fell in love with Horchata and is now their new favorite drink! You can only get it at dinner time at the steak restaurant. We had some great servers that ran over there while we ate at the Italian restaurant and got them for the kids! They were amazing! The other restaurants you need to make reservations for, which can be a bit of a pain through the app, but the concierge was able to help and book reservations for us. We booked excursions through Erik G, who was right on the beach in the blue Google shirt who I would highly recommend!! He made planning easy! The pool is spacious and so pretty with plenty of seating and activities to participate in if you want. Make sure you get the resort specific app, it lists everything going on. Everyone who worked at the resort and the people we dealt with for our excursions were all so nice and helpful! We did a surf lesson with Pablo, a jet ski tour and two atv tours (the kids had so much fun the first time, we had to do another one) Costa Rica is a beautiful place and the people who live there are great! We really enjoyed the Westin Playa Conchal and will be back!

Sorry for the negative review. I’ve been spoiled by too many of the other amazing resorts so it’s just a comparison butt my experience here was just not up to my standards. I had high expectations for the Westin Reserva Conchal, but my stay was very disappointing. Booking through Costco, I encountered unhelpful service at check-in, and managing reservations for our group was unnecessarily complicated. The pool area was poorly maintained, with debris left all day, and there were serious pest issues—ants were everywhere, and we even had cockroaches in our room, including one that fell out of a bathroom hook and others attempting to open our food. Although the manager offered a small credit and a room change after we reported this, fumigation never happened, and the damage to our experience was already done. For a Marriott/Westin property, the service and cleanliness were unacceptable. Costa Rica is great, the beach here is great, the food was ok. Everything was just ok.

Great family holiday
This was our first trip as a family of four. Had 3 year old and 5 month old in tow. Resort was very accommodating, staff were friendly and restaurants were great. They made families feel welcome. My son and husband did horse riding on the beach which they loved. Also visited the local town Tamarindo. Overall a great holiday!

Great visit
We had the pleasure of visiting Costa Rica and my experience was truly unforgettable. From the moment I arrived at the Westin, I was impressed by the property and top-notch service. The resort is situated in a stunning location with a tropical setting. The rooms were spacious, clean and beautifully decorated – definitely a stunner. As for the pool area, it was amazing and the restaurants offered delicious local and international cuisine, making it a great base for exploring. We booked a sloth tour and visited a waterfall with Issys Tours. The guide was knowledgeable and passionate about wildlife and we had the amazing opportunity to see not only sloths but also a variety of other fascinating animals in their natural habitat. Llanos del Cortés is a stunning waterfall and provided the perfect setting for this unforgettable experience.
