Excellent service from the Management staff!
The main purpose of this review is to give a huge shout out and thank you to Doug Wood, Assistant Manager. I came to the Westin Hapuna for a veterinary conference and brought my elderly mother. For some reason, we were put in a room that was at the far north part of the resort, away from the conference area, the pools, and a very long walk for my mother. After realizing this, I called the front desk and Doug helped us. He immediately found us a room that was closer to the center, the elevators, immediately across from the laundry (extra bonus) and completed elevated our whole experience at the hotel with gorgeous views of the garden, the beach, and the sunset. Thanks to Doug, our experience was truly exceptional. Thank you Doug for all of your help! Heather and Sandy

Photographs by Blinnk
Our family of 10 enjoyed every minute at the Westin Hapuna Beach! From ages 20 months to 80 years, we found joy at the pool, the beach and the restaurants. A highlight on our last day at the resort was having Cynthia Buckles, from Blinnk Photography, capture our family around the resort and the beach. We are delighted with the photos! And Cynthia graciously gave us 3 complimentary photos when we mistakenly submitted too many for our package. We are grateful for all the memories Cynthia caught on film!

Beautiful hotel Service 5 stars ; food bad.
Beautiful hotel, guest services was very nice but some people didnt know basic things like “where is yoga?, what time is yoga?” Where are uekele classes, what time?” Where are the good coffee farms. Most people seem new. Food is ok. Chef at beach pool cafe needs to re sizzle menu for example cobb salad doesnt have ‘fried onion bits”. Yuk. Also the fryer oil needs to be cleaned. The sweet potato fries were bad my husband got sick. The pools and jacuzzi and beach were nice. Room was perfect. Just a little noisy from construction. I would come back just wont eat there. Coffee is really good.

Fantastic family vacation at the beautiful resort. Beach and water top notch!
My family and I (including two teens) just enjoyed a week at the the beautiful Westin Hapuna Beach and loved our time there! We were pleasantly surprised by the roominess of our Ocean View room and loved the large lanai with stellar views. We were on the 8th floor and sat above the residences in front of us which really made a difference and elevated our view. The room itself was clean and well kept, nothing of note from us. My husband is platinum with Marriott and the two daily included continental breakfast options were perfect for our family. There was a large selection of delicious pastries, some simple parfaits, fresh fruit and coffee. Nothing extravagant but since we’re not big breakfast eaters it was perfect for us! The pools and beach were breathtaking. We’ve made many trips to Kauai and our last family vacay was to Turks & Caicos and this rivaled the best beach/water we’ve been too. Beach chairs were popular but with a little patience we were always able to find somewhere to sit. The only disappointment, if you can call it that, was the food. The beach bar was a fantastic location but the food was just ok. Our dinner at Meridia was delicious and one of our best of the week but overall food on the island was mid. (We ended up trying a lot of the options in Waikoloa and nothing knocked our socks off either. )

Location Great, ANTS NOT
Despite its 4+ star rating and beautiful location, this hotel has an ant problem. Ants reappeared despite disinfection efforts, and management’s promises fell short. Adding to the disappointment, the staff is surprisingly rude for a hospitality-focused industry. Temporary fixes aren’t enough for a property of this caliber. While the views and amenities are excellent, the recurring pest issue and poor service significantly impact the experience. Until resolved, I cannot recommend staying here.
