Wonderful experience at the Verandah Resort; staff are very courteous and responsive; entertainment was good; variety of food and drink was good; well-maintained rooms and grounds. Tremendous effort by the grounds staff to clear Sargassum Seaweed from the beaches. Good if you want some quiet time. I enjoyed the 1761 cafe. Layout is good and encourages walking (smiley face). Occasionally the wait-time for the shuttle seemed long but we were advised that the average was 15 - 20 minutes. Didn't have a chance to explore the outdoor games but it looked like fun. Added bonus that some food is grown on the property as well as brewing a light beer/ale and a malt stout. Don't know if there's a tour through these areas but it's great that they do it. Overall, a very good experience.

May 02, 2025Amazing Stay! Amazing Property! Amazing People!
This was my third time staying at Verandah - and each time it seems to get better! Food: I have stayed at several all-inclusives, but the buffets at Sea Breeze were beyond approach. Plenty of fresh and delicious food. For something a little fancier, I highly recommend an evening at Nicole's. And for something laid back, check out the Papa Ricco's pizzeria, overlooking the bay. Activities: We usually don't do any onsite activities at resorts we stay at. But Verandah's amenities are great. Mini Golf, ping pong, billiards, kayaks and SUPs... and some of the nicest and best maintained pickleball courts I have ever played on. Location: the two beaches on the resort are amazing. But having Long Bay Beach a 3 minute walk away is priceless! Devil's Bridge National Park is a short 10 minute walk away. The resort itself is a convenient 30 minute drive from the airport. Room:The individual villas are huge and clean and nicely furnished. The property has obviously recently been updated. They are well appointed, bed is comfortable, wifi works great, terrific water pressure... Staff: Super helpful, super friendly. Management are empowered to solve issues immediately (big and small). Already planning our next trip back!

Our Perfect Honeymoon
The suites have two rooms to a building, so you don't have the noise and crowding of a standard hotel. The rooms feel private and quiet, and come with your own private balcony section. Every inch of the property was spotless. Even the bathrooms at the beaches and the pools were immaculate. The landscaping is beautiful. It's also rather spread out, so if you like walking, you can stay active. If you have mobility challenges or are tired, they have golf carts and you can request a ride at any time. Even though it is a large resort, it never felt crowded. There were always beach and pool chairs available. Even the large dining hall was never packed or noisy. They have thought of plenty of activities so you will never be bored. Between the two beaches, water sports, multiple pools, fitness center, spa, restaurants, game areas, tennis and pickle ball quarts, mini golf, and daily activities, you will run out of time before you run out of things to do. And even if you do get stir crazy, there are many great options for excursions, with knowledgeable staff to help you pick out what you are looking for (shout out to Gem!) All the staff were wonderful. Everyone was kind and professional. We can't finish a review without talking about the food. They have options for every diet/preference. The buffet is amazing! Everything was DELICIOUS, cooked to perfection, at the perfect temperature. They have adventurous local options and basic staples.

A truly recommendable resort
I'm so glad that my first visit to Antigua was spent at the Verandah Resort & Spa. The environment here is beautiful, with charming villas scattered across the resort and lush greenery all around. There are plenty of fitness and recreational areas, such as swimming pools, tennis courts, and ping-pong tables. What I love the most is the variety of restaurants, bars, and cafés offering different styles and cuisines. You can stroll around the resort, and whenever you feel thirsty or hungry, you can simply walk into any restaurant and order your favorite dish or drink — all the costs are already included in the accommodation fee. Each restaurant has its own unique charm, but it's worth noting that the more upscale ones require a dinner reservation in advance. Honestly, it feels like paradise. There's even a peaceful beach where you can relax on a lounge chair without any noise or crowd. It's truly a perfect vacation destination.

A memory at the Verandah
We stayed at the Pineapple a sister resort We did a 2 days pass to the Verandah We had lunch and went to their pool Food was terrific, we had curry chicken with roti and the pool was awesome with Caribbean music also the drinks at the bar were strong and good Devin from Heaven (Fun Squad) who made our 2 days a Special one We spent a half day on our birthdays at the Verandah, we were celebrating 3 birthdays A special thank you to Devin Who did a shout out for our birthdays and gave us a bottle of champagne to celebrate also played dominoes with the guys which they loved so much The servers at the lunch restaurant were so friendly The staff at the front desk made us feel so welcome thank you
