Read for a positive experience…
Booked five nights here with points. After reading reviews I was very nervous. We got back a couple days ago and had the best experience! I am a gold member and received an upgrade to resort view without asking. Front desk was so helpful, especially Luyana (I think that’s her name!) Everyone had a smile and welcomed us back each day, wished us a good day, etc. Beach is powdery white sand brought in from the Bahamas and there was always a free chair. The pool was quite crowded as it’s spring break but we’re beach people anyway. I didn’t need housekeeping every day but did find her in the hall our second day and asked to swap towels and empty garbage. She promptly came and helped me out. A tip for those that don’t: tip the housekeeping staff! They work hard and you’ll find quickly how much they appreciate it. She came by every single day after. Cons: Yes, there’s some wear and tear on the common areas. But like another reviewer said, it fits the vibe of Key West which is very laid back. Rooms were very clean. Your room may not get very cold despite working ac. It was mid to lows 80s and the ac/ventilation could not keep up with the heat and humidity. I asked for maintenance to take a look (our room was generally about 76 degrees at coldest) and he came up immediately. Couldn’t totally fix the problem but gave some tips that really helped to cool the room going forward. My son has stayed at a lot of hotels and when we left he specifically asked me to leave a positive review so it’s a win for us. Hope to be back!

Beware!
Miserable experience! Overpriced and terrible service. No housekeeping on multiple days, even after numerous calls and visits to the front desk, overhead fan light randomly came on all night for 2 nights, no hot water one morning….the list is long. You are better off at a campground.

Beautiful hotel on the beach near the Southern Most Point
This was our 1st time staying here and we will be back! The hotel and the grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The staff was so friendly and helpful! The food was amazing. We stayed at Casa Marina, their sister site, last time and both are wonderful. We enjoyed The Reach just a bit more. We highly recommend this hotel.

The Reach- Key West
Hilton Diamond Member- stayed with points. The basic room was a garden view- was actually a great spot. 2nd visit to Key West and was great! Location- near the Southern most point- short uber to Duval st. We walked one day- its an easy flat walk and about a mile - can rent a golf cart at hotel if needed Room was great- no issues with a nice balcony to sit on at night- was in the corner so voices carried but wasn't an issue Food & Beverage- Food was great - wish there was later options but plenty within a short disance of hotel Pool- was clean and plenty of access to chairs- rented a cabana one day, this was great Beach was great- small but was to be expected Overall great spot and will definetly come back

Average
Poor value for money, expected luxury at £2400 for 3 nights. The staff were excellent, except for the front of house woman at breakfast who was rude and self important. Despite the fact that breakfast was included they still managed to squeeze another $18 out of us for tax and service! Our room was excellent, but it was only made up once in 3 days. The beach was really nice. The jetty has been taken over by pigeons, and is completely covered in guano - it is a serious hazard to health and should be shut down immediately.
