    Delicious lunch and great service

    We had Sunday lunch for a group of 6 in the Carriage restaurant and it was fantastic. Lovely food, great variety on the menu, beautiful room and wonderful staff. Iner (I hope I have the name right!) was our excellent waiter and he was so attentive, professional and welcoming. We all agreed we would return :)

    Very friendly and helpful staff and an excellent hotel.

    Stayed at the Alex recently as part of four day break in Dublin. Simon at reception made us very welcome from the moment that we walked through the door. His greeting set the tone for a great experience. Very friendly and helpful staff and an excellent hotel well situated in the centre of Dublin. Just a couple of thoughts. Perhaps a little more variety on the breakfast buffet would be welcome for those staying a few days. Also not everyone is QR savvy when it comes to operating coffee makers. Overall though, enjoyed the stay and next time that we in Dublin we will be heading for the Alex.

    A MUST STAY!!

    This Alex was absolutely beautiful, and the service was incredible. Our concierge Simon was so energetic, so thoughtful, he made sure we had everything that we needed and handled all of our questions with enthusiasm and care. The comfort level of this hotel is amazing. Rooms are very large, spotless and beautiful, I have an appreciation for luxury showers as so many in Europe can be very small, but mine was fantastic! (and this is a standard room). The bar and the restaurant were lovely and the location makes for easy access to the sites. Once again, hats off to Simon for being such a great host! Highly recommended the Alex hotel.

    Commendable!

    Nice hotell, overtly retro phones and a very friendly and welcoming staff, especially Simon who really went that extra mile to help me on the day of my departure. Highly commendable place to stay. I’like to see the breakfast being served with fried eggs, not only scrambled eggs. The black pudding was stellar!

    Exceptional stay at The Alex

    Had a wonderful experience at The Alex from the moment I checked in until departure. I must mention how amazing Simon is and what a great example of hospitality. Each time I saw him in the lobby he always had a bright smile and greeted me warmly; plus genuinely cared about my stay at the hotel. The rooms are well proportioned and outfitted perfectly. Housekeeping was seamless. The pillow service is a great touch. The location is perfect as well with plenty within easy walking distance. The Alex will definitely be my home away from home when in Dublin.
