Feb 03, 2025Fantastic stay at the Alex Hotel
Such a lovely hotel, they upgraded our room to the King Suite free of charge and it was amazing! So much space, air conditioning and gave us complimentary breakfast as well! We also had access to the executive lounge which was a cosy little room with complimentary drinks. Great location, only a 10 minute walk from Grafton street. Staff were absolutely lovely and so helpful. Such value for the price, we will definitely be returning the next time we are in Dublin.

Very nicely located and reasonably priced - unusual in rugby weekend no teles in the bar - also don’t sell drink after 12 midnight to residence and a cashless hotel - however staff very peasant but 99% foreign - lacked a little empathy and perhaps knowledge of the area - looking at Google maps all the time - However breakfast was excellent car parking facilities close by and generally ye another fine find in Dublin

A great stay!
We had a great two night stay in The Alex, it was our first time and we were very impressed. Check in was very smooth, the room was spacious and very neat, the shower was amazing. We had food in the restaurant, I’d recommend the fish and chips! Check out was equally smooth. The Alex is in a good location, quiet area but really close to loads of Dublin sites

Best hotel in Dublin!
The best hotel in Dublin! Everything about this hotel was perfect. Our experience from check in to checkout was so personal. The staff were so helpful and couldn’t do enough for you. We paid extra for early check in which meant we got even longer in the hotel for our 2 night stay! The only thing I’d say is I wish that breakfast was included and not an extra charge but they have an amazing restaurant/ cafe next door called Tank. There were queues to go in there every day which you don’t mind waiting for because you know it’s going to be good! The hotel is in perfect location for the city, not too much of a walk and close to the Aviva stadium which we went to for a rugby game! Don’t hesitate to book 😊

Nice hotel which has a wonderful location. I booked a double bed but got a room with 2 singles. Very uncomfortable. Amenities are basic so take your own ie cotton wool pads. No dressing gown. The really best bit is that they do wonderful cocktails.
