Greening Your Life: Part of the Apple Vacations Greening Your Life initiative, this property has an all-natural ambiance with bamboo swim-up bar and treehouse style rooms. Bananas are grown in the on-site garden and then used in the resort s restaurants, while all other fruits and vegetables are locally sourced. An organic herb garden is located on the hotel grounds as well. The waste from these fruits and vegetables are then given to local pig farmers. Glass bottles, plastic bottles, cardboard, paper, metal, aluminum, and stainless steel are also separated for recycling.
