    Poor experience

    Don’t pay extra for sun club. I called multiple times for a mini bar restock and only got it once after my third call that day. Put my books and bags on a chair while I went to the bathroom, and less than 5 minutes later I came back to them gone. I’m out two books and a bag. I was cut in front of several times at check in. It took over and hour to get checked in.

    Buenos!!

    Oscar, Jorge and Julisa Cristian from bell boy to the ambience. The place was absolutely respectful of us even at our worst. There patience with the gringos was much appreciated. I would recommend to anyone looking to go with families and friends.

    We Can't Wait to Come Back!

    Staying at the Sunscape in Puerto Vallarta was an EXCELLENT choice for our honeymoon! My wife and I enjoyed our room with 2 balconies, the amenities, restaurants, 24 hour cafe, the staff, and how La Isla was just a 5 minute walk away. Perfect!

    We had a great time

    The resort was exactly what you would expect for the price. It’s a bit dated, and the food is okay, but that’s part of the experience. We had a fantastic time! I traveled with my 8-year-old and 5-year-old, and they had a blast—never complaining about anything. They didn’t mind that some tiles were missing from the pools or that there were cracks in the walls of our room. They always found something to eat throughout the day. The café was probably their favorite spot, and the staff there were incredibly friendly. The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable and the views were amazing! The food was decent, and there’s always something available to eat. The food truck offered good options, and the staff were friendly and hardworking. It was a great experience. The pool was fantastic, and we spent a lot of time there. I wish there had been more poolside service. During our 8-day stay, we only saw one staff member walking around, and they never approached us to ask if we needed anything. However, the bars are conveniently located nearby, no matter where you are around the pool. We never had a problem finding a spot for all four of us together, and we typically went down around 9:30 AM. The beach was beautiful, but swimming was not really an option because the waves were very powerful. However, we spent a lot of time playing in the sand, which was perfect. If you walk further up the beach, you can find a couple of crocodiles, which made for an enjoyable morning walk that the kids loved. While there weren't many seashells, we discovered plenty of pretty rocks. Sitting at the beach could be quite annoying, though, as vendors consistently approached us to sell something. Even in the private sun club area, they came right in, resulting in a steady flow of interruptions. We only stayed in that sitting area once and ended up leaving because it was overwhelming. Both the alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks were great, and the menu offered a fun variety. The bartenders were excellent and had a fantastic sense of humor. The entertainment crew was fantastic. The gym coach, Allen, did an excellent job with my 5-year-old son. He even got him doing some workouts! My son still talks about him now that we are home and calls him his gym coach. The night entertainment was surprisingly good. They had a jaw-dropping magic show and a movie each night, accompanied by the best popcorn! It was wonderful to see the kids relax while we enjoyed some time to ourselves. We booked the Sun Club, and I honestly think it made our trip unforgettable. We enjoyed using the private lobby for our daily breakfast, which offered different food options than the buffet, and everything was really good. The lobby was a lovely air-conditioned sitting area with activities for the kids to enjoy. We utilized the private lobby the most, and it also had a nice outdoor sitting area. The drinks were delightful as well, especially the Captain Morgan's spiced rum! One recommendation - bring pesos! All prices are in pesos.

    Good resort for a family vacation

    We really liked the resort, it's a great place to go with young kids. The splash park is a lot of fun for the little ones. It's a small resort so it's really easy to get around. The shows at night aren't the best but they were entertaining for kids, certain areas of the resort would need some love and the food could definitely be improved but it's a great place and would definitely go back with my family (but it's not a place to go on a romantic getaway or with friends, it's definitely a family resort focusing on what kids like). The view from our balcony was amazing, and the room was really big.
