  Best entertainment staff and service!

  Glowing Review for Sunscape Puerto Vallarta Resort & Spa Wow! Where do I even begin? From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the incredible hospitality at Sunscape Puerto Vallarta Resort & Spa. The staff is beyond amazing—friendly, energetic, and genuinely dedicated to making your stay unforgettable. The entertainment team is on another level! Linette, Christian, Allan, Ana, and Aldo brought so much energy and joy to every activity. Water aerobics, Zumba, and the daily poolside dance shows were absolute highlights. Their themed events were fantastic—especially the St. Patrick’s Day celebration, complete with fun costumes and creative decorations. The food was absolutely delicious! I’m honestly baffled by anyone who could complain. The local cuisine was outstanding—fresh salsa daily, endless tacos, and perfectly made-to-order omelets every morning. The Tiki Taco restaurant was so good I went back for thirds! The buffet on Mexican night was just as impressive—I couldn’t stop going back for more. Even my kids, who are usually picky eaters, fell in love with the food. My daughter now adores avocados and tomatoes thanks to the fresh, flavorful dishes here! The service across the resort was exceptional. The bartenders and servers were always smiling, friendly, and quick to offer a drink or a helping hand. A special shoutout to the bellmen, Cristian and Oscar, who were so helpful during check-in, checkout, and arranging transportation. Their warm welcome made a great first impression. The nightly entertainment was spectacular! The beach BBQ with the fire show was my personal favorite—it felt like a Vegas-level production right on the sand. The magician was hilarious and incredibly skilled, while the Mexican cultural dancers were breathtaking. My kids had an absolute blast at the silent disco party with dueling DJs—it was such a unique and fun experience! The rooms were spacious and comfortable, especially the kids’ club rooms with bunk beds. It was perfect for our family. Our maid, Karina, provided excellent service and even left us a thoughtful souvenir on our last day. The pool and beach were fantastic. The shallow area was perfect for my 3-year-old, while my older child spent hours at the water park. Although it was only open from 12-5, they made the most of every minute. We were also lucky enough to spot humpback whales from the beach multiple times—such a magical experience! For a little shopping, La Isla Mall next door is a must-visit. It’s modern and stylish, with a beautiful koi and turtle pond. We also visited the Caracol mall, which was less impressive, but I scored a great deal on some Mexican Ray-Bans. A few minor drawbacks: • The kids’ club room AC had a musty smell, likely due to the humid climate, but it was easy to overlook considering all the fun the kids had. • The shower design could use improvement—it’s prone to spilling water. We used a pool towel as an extra barrier. • Noise from the lobby and karaoke could be heard from our first-floor room, but we were so exhausted from the day’s activities that it didn’t bother us. • The pool area could use some maintenance—missing tiles were noticeable—but it didn’t take away from our enjoyment. • The pool chair situation was sometimes tricky with guests reserving chairs early, but we always found seats eventually. Lastly, while the beach vendors can be persistent, I actually enjoyed interacting with them. They were friendly, funny, and full of character—you just need to barter a bit for a good deal. Overall, Sunscape Puerto Vallarta exceeded our expectations in every way. The incredible staff, delicious food, and non-stop fun made this an unforgettable vacation for our whole family.   Good value for young family

  Just completed a stay at the the Sunscape in Puerto Vallarta. The property is older and showing it's wear and tear. The food was fair to good for the price point. Very good experience with the staff - they work really hard to keep guests happy. Shout out to the following staff who made our trip special - Valeria, Diana, Georgina, Nayeli and Sandra from the kids club - thank you for taking care of the kids all day and giving them such a great time! Isela from the snack machine; Alejandro and Samantha from Tiki Taco; Mari from Coco Cafe; the lady handling the egg station every morning - thank you for remembering us by names and knowing all our preferences in just a few days! Carla and team from front desk - thank you for hearing our issues and trying your best to solve it. I would consider coming back if they can refresh the building and amenities.

  Pleasantly surprised!

  It was our first time at the resort and we will definitely go back. The staff is friendly, helpful & courteous. Our room was spacious (2 beds & sofabed), clean, with an amazing view (17th floor). Omar, Ivan and Mario C. are the best bartenders.

  Hotel vacation

  Reception was good quick. We would like to have time to get in and settled before we get ask for new hotel excursion. We like the pool and the beach access. Christian ans Mari were helpful. They notified me of upcoming events. We discussed possibel. Whale sitings.

  Family friendly budget resort

  I read many reviews prior to arriving at this resort and they had me worried. BUT the price point was amazing ($2300cad for a family of 4 for a week) and I figured “how bad can it be?” I’m so glad I didn’t cancel the trip and decided to try it out, because we had a GREAT time! The resort itself is small, and a little run down, the food wasn’t bad, but there was limited options for picky kiddos! But the drinks were yummy and the customer service was PHENOMENAL! Every person in every department went out of their way to make us happy! I have an autistic 5 year old so finding something he’ll eat is a challenge but the waiters in the buffet (world cafe) would go out of their way to run to the kitchen and personally cook him a plate of French fries or fetch him a cinnamon bun if they weren’t available in the buffet. The Italian a la carte restaurant (d’mario) was AMAZING! The food and drinks and service were all soooo good! I wish they had a section of the restaurant they would allow kids into so we could have visited more often. They only allow kids ages 8 and up. The bartenders were always happy to make us all whatever we asked for and would fill up our yeti tumblers. The housekeeping showed up daily and left us cute little gifts and notes and make blanket art on our beds. The entertainment team always had a dance party or some fun game happening in the pool. The bell boys at the front were probably our favourite. Shoutout to Oscar and Christian! We absolutely adored them. We ventured off the resort frequently and they were always quick to help load us into a shuttle or uber. And whenever we walked by to go to mini golf or for a walk to the mall, they always went out of their way to run up to us and see how we were doing. This is a fantastic budget resort, we had a great trip!
