Don't waste your money on Sunscape Resort in Curacao.
The resort was really poor, terrible and not worth going to. The food was beyond bad. The service was very, very poor. Imagine the first night we were there, no drinking water! When I asked about it, was told to wait for the next day because there was no staff! The housecleaning was atrocious. They do not clean your room unless you give them a tip and it is All Inclusive. After complaining to the manager, I eventually had my room cleaned for the duration of my stay BUT on the last day, the cleaner rapped on my door and asked for a tip!!!! I felt bad and gave her $20.00 US dollars! There clearly has a shortage of staff and those who work there are not paid properly! Go to some other resort Not Sunscape Resort.

Loved it!
Great hotel and friendly staff. Fully renovated buffet. Great food and service. The Oceana a la carte is beyond expectations. Get your morning coffee at the lobby cafe. The bar beside the buffet is amazing, great Pina coladas. Diverse menus and something for everyone!

Wonderful Family Getaway!
We just returned from 5 nights at Sunscape. I wasn't sure what to expect based on reviews but I was pleasantly surprised. I traveled with my husband and two boys aged 5 and 9. We were in Master Suite Sun Club room in the Royal tower (2501). We had an amazing view of the ocean and absolutely loved the room. There was some wear and tear in the room but everything worked perfectly. We had the best time at Sunscape and we have been to many resorts throughout Mexico and the Caribbean. The buffet was small but the food they offered was always good. We ate at the hibachi grill which was excellent and the Italian which was fine (I'm not big on Italian food). We ate breakfast once at the Sun Club at Oceana. It was very slow but the food was good. Definitely only eat there if you're not in a rush. The part I found odd was how everyone lined up for dinner 30 min before dinner started. I've never been to a resort where there were line ups at 530pm and I've stayed at numerous Hyatt Inclusive properties. The part we loved best was the compact size of the resort and all of the activities they offered for kids. There was always something for them to do and they took part in all of them! The entertainment and Explorers Club staff were awesome! We loved the island and ease of getting around. We rented a car for a few days and visited Hato Caves, Willemstead, Christoffel National Park, Shete Boka, Playa Porto Marie where we saw the resident wild pigs and the flamingos in St. Willibrodus. I highly recommend renting a car and getting out to see the island. With the right expectations this is a wonderful resort and I'd recommend it for families looking for lots of activities for kids. We wouldn't hesitate to return again!

Nice stay...with good there's always improvements
My husband and I just came back from Sunscape on April 10th. Upon check in as SunClub visitors. We received cards which they expected you to carry to receive the premium alcohol. The bartenders did not ask to see the card. There was no way to tell who paid for the upgrade from who didn't. They need to stick to giving you a wristband, to make it easier for everyone. We had a room with an oceanview which was nice to wake up to each morning. There could be more chairs on the beach for SunClub members. The Cabana by the washroom was exposed to waste draining on the beach. It was disgusting to smell the sewage, if you sat within that area. The beach is beautiful, but very rocky to enter. I advise bringing water shoes. The snorkeling is very nice too. I was very impressed of the accessibility for those with disabilities. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and courteous. Housekeeping was excellent. All the restaurants were nice and we enjoyed eating breakfast on the beach at Oceana. There were a lot of heathly options for food. I enjoyed the cafe which served pastries, sandwiches and specialty coffees. We went into town for the day in a minivan and enjoyed it! We had traditional food and experienced the beautiful art work and murals. Mambo Beach is really nice outdoor plaza with beach clubs, restaurants and shops. It's conveniently a short walking distance from the resort. You do have to pay an entrance fee and chair/cabana fee at the beach clubs. For my husband's birthday we had a beautiful dinner at Boca's. An honourable mention to the VIP services staff. Special thank you to "Brie", with her advice on excursions and making my husband's birthday special. She went above and beyond. Overall, we enjoyed our time at Sunscape.

Loved our trip!!!
Beautiful resort and amazing staff. Every request was met and we truly enjoyed our stay. Food options would be the only complaint but it is very minor and was still able to find options. Beach cabanas were heavenly. If looking for a quieter beach option Sun Club is the way to go and worth the upgrade. If want the activities do the main pool area. Breathtaking sunsets!
