St. James's guests have several choices when it's time to refuel. The Docksider is known as much for its panoramic water views and charming nautical decor as its Caribbean-inspired dishes. Thursday evenings feature steel-pan performers who turn up the heat with Caribbean Calypso music. Those who wish to dine in a more tranquil setting may do so at the resort's signature fine-dining restaurant, Piccolo Mondo. For casual dining, the informal Coco Beach Restaurant & Bar offers sea views and a selection of salads, soups, burgers, and pastas.
St. James's Club Resort & Villas has four lounges and bars. The Reef Deck bar beckons adjacent to the main pool. The two beach bars (Mamora Bay Bar and Coco Beach Bar) feature the resort's signature rum punch. A beach cart with soda, beer, rum, and fruit punch also provides refreshments to sun worshippers. The Jacaranda Lounge features nightly entertainment.
Two white-sand beaches offer a host of fun-filled activities. Coco Beach is like an aquarium for snorkelers, while the calm waters of Mamora Bay are ideal for swimming. St. James's Club provides complimentary non-motorized watersports such as kayaking, pedal boating, and catamaran sailing. Tucked into a quiet corner of the The Club area is the Tennis Center, with four hard courts and two artificial turf courts. Four courts are lit for night play.
Guests can also sunbathe, take a dip in six distinctive swimming pools, and succumb to the pleasures of a spa and salon. Spa Tranquility is an expansive and elegantly appointed hideaway for pampering and restorative treatments for the body and skin (fee). The seaside gym has floor-to-ceiling windows looking out at the ocean, providing an inspiring setting for workouts.

Nov 16, 2024Nice place. Food lacking.
This is our 5th time staying at Elite island resorts and fourth time at St James club. The weather was beautiful and we were happy there was no seaweed at all. We stayed in building 13 and found it to be centrally located to beach, pool, and main restaurant. Bed was very comfortable and room was clean and updated. Maid service was excellent. Breakfast at Rainbow was very good each morning. Service very good and we saw lots of smiles from our servers. The coffee shop is amazing. During our trip we found that restaurant choices were limited. Most nights we had two choices of venues. The Pico is $75 extra per couple. We had been there before and skipped it this trip. We like the resort for the beach and we are not big foodies, however we found the menu, especially on the buffet to be pretty lacking. Cuban night was someone making beef or chicken fajita-like tacos. The resort appeared half full. It would have been nice on those evenings for the place to offer some shrimp or fish tacos. We were also looking for some tortilla chips but none to be found. The resort gives two bottles of water per room for the entire stay. This became a problem for me for personal health reasons. Supposedly tap is filtered. We like the ocean during the day but there was no beverage cart service at all during our stay as in the past. It was a bit of a hike to the pool or restaurants for a soft drink or cocktail. As others have reported they hit with you with “resort” fees that started during COVID for cleaning and sanitation. Enough already. We had a nice time. Will try something else in the me future.

Start off with the good. The location is phenomenal tucked into a cove with calm ocean on one side and actual waves on the other, it is picturesque beauty. Rooms are dated and we had major issues. Our AC did not work the first 2 days, however, maintenance did fix it but the first two nights were hot sleeping. Toilet in room did not flush correctly and again had to call maintenance, which did not fully fix the issue. Food was ok, not good, not bad just ok, think Golden Corral for US standards. Staff was friendly but way understaffed. Quivern was amazing and was the only true staff member that tried to interact above and beyond. Overall the resort is huge and feels less intimate than others. Food options were sparse and spread out making it inconvenient. Loved the location just not the resort.

Here right now. the staff at Manora Bay Diner are the worst. Twice they’ve been absolutely diabolical. please pay them more or sack them. Someone needs to get their head in the game. Absolutely awful service. I would never recommend this hole

Nov 08, 2024Our Annual Holiday at SJC
We have just returned from another fantastic holiday at St James Club. We have been coming for the past 19 years and regard it as our home from home. SJC is set in a stunning location with views to die for. We stayed in a reef suite which was newly decorated and furniture and bedding are of a high standard. There is a variety of restaurants with something to suit all tastes . The staff at SJC are amazing a special mention to Cressida at the Reef Pool Bar and Joanne at the Coffee Bar . Unfortunately my husband had a couple of medical issues and i cannot thank enough the way the staff handled the situation. A thank you to Peter the duty manager for calling the doctor and Shaneal for looking after my husband until the ambulance arrived. A massive heartfelt thanks to Marissa and Charlene the guest service managers for their amazing care and concern truly over and above their job requirements. We will be eternally grateful to you both. All being well we will be back next year.

Usual great stay at St James
Once again we were not disappointed. Our favourite place - St James Club and Villas!! A lovely stay only marred by me having a fall but more about that soon. Once again their greatest asset is the staff. They are understaffed and are trying to recruit but the staff work incredibly hard especially the restaurant staff and never stop working- - shout outs to Cresidda at the Reef Pool Bar - such a good move to have her there instead of Mamora Bay Bar and Chad at Jackaranda bar was a delight- such a funny man. I had a fall walking up to the reef pool from the Reef Suites - no fault of the hotels but they couldn’t have been more helpful- called a doctor and Merissa the guest ambassador took my husband in her car to the pharmacy to get a sling for my injured arm - thank you lovely lady (by the way had an xray on my return to U.K. and I have broken my elbow!!) All in all lovely place and has a lovely atmosphere- cya next year!!
