Other than the expense, it is difficult to find fault with this resort. We stayed in the bucket list over-the-water bungalows and do not regret it. The snorkeling from our room was very good as there are coral right there, you could even just watch fish from the veranda. I had thought to watch the Polynesian dance show from the bar (no extra charge) but am glad our group opted to sit at a table around the dance floor to really enjoy the show. Very close to lovely ladies with hips swaying, how do they do that? The only complaint about the food would be that if you came within an hour of the end of the breakfast buffet, they may not refill items. The location and views were stellar. Service was also excellent. We had thought to dine off property one evening but found that it would have been necessary to reserve in advance so one is rather isolated at this location, which may be the point for some people.

My dream came true!
Staying in an overwater bungalow with a window in the floor was a bucket list item for me and the Sofitel delivered! We stayed in a superior overwater horizon room 218 which was right at the end. The horizon bungalows have unobstructed views and we’re worth the extra cost to me. The room was lovely and comfortable, outdoor furniture both in the shade and in the sun, you could walk down a set of steps from the porch and swim or experience some decent snorkeling. The resort offered use of snorkel equipment, stand up paddleboard and kayak included as well as a fabulous breakfast. Grounds were lovely. Paradise!

Great resort !great location ,very friendly staff !
Really friendly staff ,great location ,great luxury garden bungalows ,very nice beach ,great food ,like the idea we were able to rent cars right at the resort through the enjoy app that was really convenient .We were able to use paddle boards and kayaks ,the water is turquoise it was so nice !

Fantastic trip!
We absolutely loved our trip to the Sofitel Moorea. Our Overwater rooms are worth every penny. Tatiana at the pool bar was our favorite all trip, and Pedro at the dinners as well. Maururu all! We will certainly be coming back in the future for our trips

A taste of paradise...
The property was beautiful ! The beach was clean, lots of lounge chairs to use. Small infinity edge pool with loungers and towels, as well as outdoor showers to rinse off with. We stayed 3 nights in a beach bungalow, steps to the ocean. Blue, clear water as far as the eye can see ! We also stayed 3 nights in an overwater bungalow, a different level of "wow". Both bungalows were spacious and nicely decorated, king size beds , air conditioning and ceiling fans for a comfortable sleep environment. Bathrooms featured a rain shower and double sinks. Overwater bungalow with outdoor shower and private entry ladder into the lagoon, inside area with small glassed in area in floor for fish sightings. We had pre paid for our meals in the "Pure" restaurant and enjoyed both the buffet and individually portioned meal choices. Not a whole lot of variety on the regular menu and at times service was slow but in paradise, who can complain... Front desk staff was friendly,and professional, water sports team was helpful and friendly as well. We hated to leave, but we WILL be back !
