Stay somewhere else in St Pete Beach
Stay somewhere else. This property has alot of issues to work through before it can be considered a worthy destination. The food quality, cleanliness of rooms, general state of the property and disarray of the check in staff are just a few of the concerns.

HORRIBLE RIP-OFF AND MISREPRESENTATION OF ROOM CATEGORIES
TOTAL RIP-OFF! I recently stayed at the Sirata Resort at St. Pete Beach, FL (February 2025), which is understandably going through a difficult time with hurricane related repairs going on and the merging of part of the property with Hilton. BUT, no excuse for the issues I experienced. There were four of us and we had booked 2 oceanfront suites. What a joke..the only view from our room was a cement wall of our balcony and a rooftop with various pipes. There was a building in front of ours..we could see a ribbon of the ocean. These were sold as oceanFRONT rooms. It’s disgraceful that these rooms are advertised as oceanfront. We were charged as an oceanfront room ($335) PLUS a $45/day resort fee PLUS a $25/day parking fee. That was just the beginning…I called the front desk for a wake up call for the next morning, I needed to drive my sister to the airport for an early morning flight. I never received the call. Also, the next morning, all power was out at the resort (not a resort problem, but a town issue). We had to walk down 4 flights of stairs where there were no lights, complete darkness, no emergency lights…a bit of a safety issue. I sent an email to Hilton once I returned home and in response received a “form letter”, not addressing any of my individual complaints. I did ask for the sake of other future hotel patrons of the Sirata Resort that Hilton changes the room categories in accordance with what they really are…it is a false representation on Hilton’s part to advertise and charge a client for an oceanfront room when it is anything but that. So, I am sure unless Hilton take those steps to honestly advertise rooms in their proper categories, they will receive numerous complaints such as mine.

Fabulous yoga on the beach
My favorite activity that the resort provided was yoga on the beach with Jillian Dzieciol. Jillian was a fabulous instructor and lovely person. Was definitely a highlight of my trip - wished I would have been able to participate in more of her fun fitness classes but had other things scheduled.

Do not stay here!! Room was horrible!!
This a long detailed review to read! ; - ) When checking in, (it was very late at night as our flight was delayed) The tall guy with the long white/beard, said to me that there will be an additional "resort fee" for use of amenities. I told him that I was checking in with my 96 year old mother and would not be using the resort amenities. He replied well "we are required to charge you" I then responded that this was NOT disclosed when I made reservations. He also said that we charge for parking. I told him that the reservations representative said it was free parking. He shot back, we charge for that! He then presented the resort placard & I said that will get in the way of my handicap placard. He replied "OH you have a handicap placard, we won't charge you to park here" I said to him, I told you this was supposed to be free & you did not believe ME the customer! No apologies were given. I circled back to the "resort fee" and he flatly said, I can't do anything about that, I am required to charge you that fee. When I spoke with the reservations rep, I said I would be traveling with my elderly 96 year old mother and want a "front facing beach view room with a balcony that we could sit out on to enjoy the view when mom was too tired to go out off the hotel campus" The rep said we would get a room with a balcony that we could sit out on facing the beach. I mentioned this to the tall guy white hair & beard, he said you will have a side view of the beach. At this point I was exhausted not only because of how late we arrived, but the poor manner in which the guy treated me when checking in. This total fee for parking and resort fee was a whopping $600 +.. Other issues upon arrival to our room; The room (#4535) door cards (2 of them) did not work. So I then had to find a place for my 96 year old mother to sit down by the 5th floor elevator and returned to the front desk (in my car because our room was located in building 4) where a very nice woman re did the door cards. She said if there are any issues, just call me on your cell phone and I will immediately bring you another set. Thankfully 1 card worked. I then got my mother into the room. My mother at this point was freezing. There was NO blanket/comforter, just two sheets on the bed! I then called the front desk to request a couple of blankets be brought to our room. The nice desk clerk brought up some. I had to call front desk once more because there was only one luggage caddy rack and we needed another one in the room. The next morning Feb 21st, I was able to check out the room thoroughly. I was very disappointed to observe the following (I took numerous photographs & will be posting online with a review) * NO BALCONY! Just prison bars in front of the sliding door) * The floors were dirty throughout * refrigerator had numerous dents on the front door * above counter microwave not working (there was a very cheap & small counter microwave) * The bathroom sink had numerous scratches in the bowl * The ceiling vent filter was very dirty *The lounge chair had numerous stains on the seat cushion * The couch was dirty with a visible tear & the cushions were shot (No support) * The floor in front of the couch was badly scratched up * No hand soap by the bathroom sink * The popcorn ceilings had areas where there dirt accumulation * The outlet behind the bed was not attached to the wall and only one plug worked for the bedside lamps- I had to move the electrical cord to another outlet in order for bedside lamp to work * The sliding doors were dirty *The table chairs, one was rickety * The shower was not clean, Grout was dirty in areas that looked like mold/mildew How on earth is this room presentation acceptable?! Checking out; It was a very early morning checkout at 6:30 am.. Upon checkout the front desk gal was nice. I inquired to make sure parking charge was removed & it was. I also asked about the "resort fee" and she said she was not authorized to remove it, only a manager could do that. She couldn't find the managers phone number. She said manager will arrive at 8 am and will have manager call me regarding this. I never received a phone call! This is unacceptable!! So I placed a call 3/2/2025 and spoke with a manager. She did remove the "Resort Fee" charge after a lil bit of back n forth.. I am disappointed I was not comped at least one nights charge because of the room condition, not having an actual balcony for my 96 year old mother to enjoy sitting outside. We have been coming to Florida for 45 years and have never been so disappointed with the accommodations. We will never stay there again, nor will we recommend The Strata as a place to stay.

Very Disappointed
Under major renovations. Hotel should be closed due to many amenities not available. No fitness, some restaurants not open only 1 hot tub open. Also if the hotel charges a resort fee chairs for the beach should be free. There are charges for everything. Rooms: Rooms smell like mildew. The humidifier in our room was emptied by me so it could continue running. Without it we couldn’t have stayed. Old cramped dirty bathroom. No blankets on beds. Don’t stay here or you will be very disappointed.
