Secrets Tides is awesome
Secrets Tides was amazing, we visited for my girlfriends birthday and we had a wonderful time. I'd like to mention Mayra who was amazing in helping me surprise my girlfriend with the decorations as well as Spicy and Colon who were very kind and helpful. We had a great time and highly recommend, food was great and there are plenty of restaurants to choose from and all the staff are helpful and pleasant.

Beautiful Beach
Secrets Tides Our first trip to this Secrets, which opened earlier this year. We were there the second week in December. We are Unlimited Vacation Club members, and have been to many Secrets in the past. I want to thank our Butler, Joel, who was very helpful in answering all our questions and making sure we have everything we needed in our room. Thank you Joel for making our vacation special – especially celebrating my birthday! Thank you Eddy and Alberto at the lobby bar. You two did an amazing job of getting those drinks out, and with a smile! I want to thank Tides for giving us actual physical menus in their restaurants. We don’t always have our phones with us at meals, so this was quite refreshing! Oceana was a wonderful restaurant with a beautiful view. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner there several times. Our first meal there was lunch and it was 5-star. The staff there work as team and the service was very good, they really want you to enjoy your meal. Special thanks to Victor! And thank you Any, for the wonderful greetings you gave us every time we arrived. You are such a wonderful hostess! The Tierra restaurant was very good the first time we went – one of the best steaks I’ve ever had in a restaurant. Our meal at the El Patio (Mexican), was good (thank you Edwin!), as was our meal at Seaside Grill. The only restaurant we were disappointed in was Portofino’s (Italian). This was surprising because usually it’s one of our favorites within the Secrets brand. Several of the courses were dry and tasteless, one was so loaded with garlic it was inedible. Other courses were fine. In the evening, there was a female singer who performed opera in the lobby area. She also played the violin and was absolutely amazing! I could’ve listened to her every night. I have to mention that we never had an issue getting a lounge chair (or cabana) at the pool or the beach. That was refreshing! While we were there, we didn’t see any seaweed, and most days the water was calm enough that you could go in. They have an area roped off. Such a beautiful beach! If you’re looking to breakup your day a bit, Tides offers a number of morning and afternoon craft classes. We did painting, made candles, jewelry and there was a chocolate presentation that was interesting as well. They have a variety of evening shows. Our favorite was the Rock Show and the Queen Tribute Show was good as well. We did take advantage of their Sip and Savor offer and walked to the Breathless next door (thank you Joel for setting this up for us!). We explored the resort a bit and I’m glad we didn’t stay there. It was VERY crowded and loud. We went to the French restaurant, Coquette, for dinner and were disappointed. Should’ve stayed at Secrets Tides for dinner. Overall, this was a nice Secrets and we enjoyed our stay. However, for the price point, I don't think we'll return to this Secrets.

Fun and Relaxing
My wife and I spent 10 nights at Secrets Tides Punta Cana. Overall, it was a very nice resort. It has been open less than a year and we liked the style and design. The food was very good and you can order almost any drink you can think of at the numerous bars. The beach and pools were also nice and the entertainment staff always had a lot activities going on throughout the day. If you decide to book preferred, make sure to spend some time in the preferred lounge in building 1. Miguel is an outstanding bartender and will take care of you! I'd like to mention our butler, Guzman, he was very helpful during our stay and took care of all the little details that made our vacation extra special. I also want to mention Julio, the head of food and beverage. He was very thoughtful while listening to a concern I brought up and went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. We had a great time here and hope to make it back again someday!

Good, Bad & Ugly
Stayed at resort December 4 to 18, 2024. Our experience was excellent. The ultimate good was the staff. Our butler, Alexis checked in with us daily, at least once per day. He was excellent at dealing with any extras that we may have wanted. The top bartenders were Vasques and Banesa at the preferred club bar. They always remembered us, made us feel welcome and mixed unbelievable White Russians. Although I found all the staff really stood out as meeting or exceeding expectations. One irritation was the “Member Update” by UVC. I told the rep Carolina, 100% we would not be purchasing any upgrades and was assured that she would only be doing a member update, and there would be no sales presentation. To call this meeting a member update is really a joke. Shortly after the meeting began it turned into a sales presentation. To Carolina’s benefit as soon as I pointed this out she closed the meeting down. My point is call a spade a spade, and the “member update” is a poorly disguised name for a sales presentation. The bad: I am not sure where the breakdown came. On a few of occasions the staff responsible for restocking the mini bar, providing water and snacks failed to restock our room. As well some of the requests through our butler to the mini bar staff were not complied with, it appears at times there was a communication breakdown. The ugly was the Market Café, the buffet hours. On a couple of occasions, we decided that we wanted to have dinner at the buffet rather than getting ready to attend the any of restaurants and found the buffet was closed. I tracked and found that was a stretch of at least 4 consecutive evenings that the buffet was closed. All in all the bad and the ugly were minor irritations only, we had an excellent stay and certainly would recommend this resort to others.

Just the perfect size.
Excellent resort. Very modern. Layout is fantastic. Not a fan of preferred and non preferment sections/restaurants. Beach is very big and can walk in each direction very easily. Rooms are clean. Staff are very friendly and their English is very good.
