Resort information
Lovely place, very cheap compared to the uk.very friendly people and easy to navigate around town.plenty of bars ,clubs and restaurants. Our favourite was la flor, but others were just as nice.never any trouble and we are going bk again for our 4th trip.a day to old nessebar is a must, was only 2lev on a bus per person single fare.you can get the land train to as far as new nessebar and then you have to change to another train to the old town.this was 6 lev per person to new nessebar and another 6 lev to the old town,so12 lev each person,if there is a few of you probably best to get a taxi.always ask price first and never take first offer haggle for a better price. Change your money out there as you get a better rate at the bank or the crown exchange.passport will need to be shown and we got a yellow piece of paper ,so we didn't need a passport for the next time.dont use the yellow and blue atm machines as they rip u off. Plenty of things to do once there and lots of trips to book.khans tent is a good night out which includes food and some selected drinks (alcoholic and soft drinks) If you smoke cigarettes are about 7lev a packet and beer is about 3 lev a pint depending on where you go.flower st can be as much as 8 lev a pint and a few streets back it can be only 3lev.so have a walk around .spiders and the condor are both well priced.both are situated near 5 corners. I personally love it there but some people say it like blackpool with the sun, because how busy it can get on the promenade and on flower Street. We personally have never seen any trouble with pickpockets but they are there ,same as everywhere I suppose. The weather has always been hot (in the 30s) in June. A few thunderstorms at night and rain. So I would recommend this resort to everyone. Just do a bit of research on the hotel and location first that's all I can say as 1 year our hotel was the last hotel and we were in St vlas, which was a good 40 mins to flower st.but there were plenty of shops and bars along the way. So if your thinking of going have a nice holiday.we always have.

Special holiday for our wedding anniversary
It had everything you could want from a holiday. Lots of restaurants to eat at, some buffet and some table service. It has it's own beach with reserved beds for guests. Rooms were well set out and nicely decorated. The adults only status helped to give it a very relaxing atmosphere. I would visit again.

Lower your expectations and compare it to 3 star hotels.
It really is just a dissapointing hotel. Staff are poorly trained and rude. (obviously there are exceptions, but the majority), nothing is anyones job, if you want a table at dinner, the best ones are not laid, if you ask "can we sit here" , tantrum from waiter at needing to lay it. Drinks are so hit and miss, you can order the same drink form 4 waiters you get 4 different drinks. Reception staff (and these inc managers) are the most useless and rude. Everyone is miserable. Go on a similar holiday to Turkey, the staff can not do enough for you, the peope in the bars and restaurants in Turkey are so friendly and hospitable, come to bulgaria it could not be more opposite. And i say this as someone who gave it a second chance, I came here in Sept 2023 and 2024. A niggle of mine is I like ice cold aircon, but they set it to a minimum of 20'c which is just not cold in my opinion, 28'c outside, I want respite in a cold room, but not possible. WHY, does the whole Lobby bar, reception, lifts and Eclipse bar smell of sewage, every day and night, potent over bearing sewage smell, thats obviously offensive to everyone as people avoid the right hand side of the massive space where its most potent! feels like a 2 star dive when walking through those central areas. There is a non smoking section, but forget that, there was a staff birthday party one night, the hotel staff, reserved 50% of the out door seating space for a party of 15 hotel staff, that were rude to anyone who went to sit down with out knowing it was reserved, literally calling them stupid for making the mistake, all smoking in the non smoking section, offering to fight people that raised the issue and the staff actually working ignored everyone else to cater for the staff party. It is generally kept pretty clean, but there are areas its apparent are not designated to anyone, so no one touches those areas, so dirty glasses and crockery etc build up and " not my job [shrug]" The food is dull, really dull. its basic, poorly cooked, obviously recycled, Chinese night on Wednesday, over cooked dry duck leg special... Thursday, Cold duck leg salad, this theme is repeated everyday, with bizzare concoctions. I have a sweet tooth, but never had dessert, the most boring little cakes, 6 different looking things, all taste the same, the "special hot dessert" 5 out of 7 nights was tinned apple in caramel sauce that was flavourles and thickened with gelatine, only reason to do this is to be cheap and not use double cream, 6th night, tinned fruit salad in the same sauce, 1 night was different, a rice pudding.... all bland. This is a 3 star hotel residing in the building of a former 5 star. Its a bit cheaper than some other options.... trust me, pay the extra... or compare it to 3 stars in other areas, its more comparable by far. I also had family in Dreams next door to secrets (we basically drifted between the two as they are owned by the same people and they are in one compound. Dreams is a lower star rating, its not great either, the drinks in dreams are aweful, the food is equal, sometimes more choice as its a much bigger hotel, the staff are the same, rude, scruffy, resent you for asking them for anything, very dated, more so than secrets, but its cheaper i believe. I really dont think either are worth the money, they do a good job making it look on Jet2 and Tui like really luxurios hotels... not the case, avoide the hotels, avoid Sunny beach (dirty, scruffy, not family friendly, feel like you're going to be mugged when you walk around the town).

Nice hotel. Food and entertainment letting it down.
Hotel location: 5/5 Rooms: 5/5 Cleanliness: 5/5 Staff: 5/5 Food:3/5 Facilities: 5/5 Spa: 3/5 Evening entertainment:1/5 Cons: Food very repetitive night after night. Poor choice, over cooked, warm ish.. . The à la cart restaurants were closed. Alcohol brand options were limited. Spa rooms cold, no relaxing music, poor atmosphere. We went to dreams and booked the massage treatments there. (Lots to choose from) Pros: Rooms are big, clean etc Indoor pool and facilities great. Gym good Went off peak so was nice and quiet, By far one of the better hotels in sunny beach. Staff are friendly Nice adult only vibe Suggestions: Improve food options, live cooking stations, more choice in meals, deserts etc Italian theme - no change in food. Pizza and paste was the same. Evening entertainment poor. Loud, poor singing. More alcohol options/ cocktail options.
