Beautiful resort! Beautiful views and great service. Robert Garcia, the bartender at the preferred area indoor bar was incredible! He provided excellent service and even better drinks. We visited with Robert every night of our stay and we had a blast. Would definitely recommend.

Mar 27, 2025Very good.... but....
We spent 10 days at Secrets in March. It's a very good resort. The previous year we had been at Excellence Punta Cana (and 2 other ones in the previous years) so we held Secrets up to the same standard as Excellence. Not quite as good, but a very close second. The restaurants were good ( French and Asian were the best) They have a "buzzer" system that alerts you when your table is ready that works very well. Buffett is standard fare, lots of choices and good service. Beach service is very good. You do have to play the get up early to get a lounger game (signs indicate there is no reserving, but that is definitely not enforced in any way) We did find it disappointing not to have an outside area to have cocktails prior to dinner or show (you are inside under a roof... feels very confining) Housekeeping is great. They have a great app that you can use to have missing items/ mini-frig things replaced by just texting. They had a really great St. Patrick's Day celebration that was over the top... great job by the entertainment crew!! The grounds are amazing, spotless!! The only exception to the overall positive attitudes we got from staff, unfortunately was from the front desk staff, both on check in and check out. General indifference on both occasions, on check in they handed us a map and said "come back at 3" that was it... very unwelcoming. On checkout, again, no questions about our stay, just fill this out, bye :( We'll be looking at Excellence for next year...

Best getaway location
Went to get away from the upstate NY winters. My girlfriend couldn't believe how wonderful the resort was and how beautiful everything was. Rooms was excellent and everything was very clean. The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.

Definitely Coming Back Here!
This resort totally exceeded our expectations. The various restaurants' food choices as well as the drinks and Coco Cafe for snacks fulfilled all our needs. Our room was clean, and our maid was always available to us. Our personal concierge, Rudy, anticipated our questions and was always attentive. The highest compliment we could give a place is if we decide to return; we are definitely coming back!

The bartenders at the beach. Ruben, Anthony, Juan and Jose are FANTASTIC. They made our stay wonderful. Wasn't overly impressed with some of the other staff. Having said that, our room was clean and well stocked. Allergies seem to be an issue for them. Meaning cross contamination was a very real thing! Because of the language barrier I feel that pictures would be helpful for guests and staff alike. We had private transportation from Ambstar. Jose was the absolute best. He took pride in himself and the vehicle he was driving.
