Great girls trip!
Just returned from a family (just girls!) getaway to Secrets Royal Beach. We stayed for 6 nights in Feb 2025 had a great experience at this resort. I have stayed at multiple Secrets resorts as well as other resorts in this brand. This report was a nice size with plenty to do as well as access to the dreams next door. We stayed in the preferred section of the resort, and stuck to the preferred areas of the beach and pool. The rooms and premises were very clean, never any issues with housekeeping, and we were always fully stocked on linens in our rooms. The food was overall above average for an all-inclusive in my opinion. The breakfast bar was about the best I've ever experienced with perfectly poached eggs every day, fresh and delicious tropical fruit and a variety of food for those in our group who have a variety of preferences/dietary restrictions. Modesto and his crew at breakfast gave us outstanding service and we looked forward to seeing them daily. The French restaurant was our favorite for dinner and the only restaurant we ate at twice. Carla the hostess there was very gracious and accommodating. We also had great meals at Olio. The beach here is gorgeous! Turquoise blue just like in the pictures. Know that the beach in the DR is public, so it was a little different then some of our other resort experiences since there were vendors and a fair amount of boats/parasailing. Not as quiet as some, but not bothersome. Might not be your place if you want a super quiet beach. (I do believe that this is the case in the DR in general, not specific to this resort). Rander and Devlin provided great bar/beach service to us. The bar at the preferred lounge by the pool was one of our favorite spots, mostly because Robert G was amazing! Not only was he a skilled bartender, he was delightful! Sammy was there in the morning and was also great. Preferred pool in general was really lovely and a beautiful space. Please remember that the island culture here is a little different than our culture, part of traveling is experiencing a bit of that. You are on island time. Service in the Caribbean is slightly different than in the US or even than in Mexico. Leading up to the trip I saw a lot of negative reviews about poor service, but this was generally not our experience. We were there with our 90 year old grandma and staff was very respectful and helpful to her. We were always greeted in our regular spots and made to feel like honored guests. Please remember that this is a poor country, and tipping for drinks and meals goes a long way for them and also will make your experience better! One of the cons for us as preferred members was that these spaces at the pool beach were usually saved prior to 8 am, sometimes people saved them the night before. There was also no monitoring of the spaces and often people not in the preferred club were reserving and using these spaces. It seems like a perk of preferred is that you should always have a spot! Another slight con is that the resort doesn't feel as open as some of the others we've been at, feels a little difficult to get from once place to the other, especially with having wheelchair in the group. Would absolutely go back!

Secrets Royal Beach Resort was wonderful
Secrets Royal Beach Resort was wonderful. The grounds are well-maintained and the rooms are very comfortable. But what makes this resort a 5-star resort is the staff. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Our butler Mannie was there to answer any questions and help us have a very enjoyable vacation. FanyLou always kept our drinks filled by the Preferred pool and beach. The wait staff in the restaurant go way beyond to give you a 5-star experience. The only downside we experienced was having to get up early to get a beach/pool chair in the preferred section. We went for Feb 15-19 and the resort was busy.

Nothing but good things to say
This resort was wonderful. Clean and updated rooms, friendly staff, food was excellent, bar staff and waitress/waiters at the pool were great. Fun entertainment staff, they were always encouraging you to join in. Lady, our wonderful waitress/server at the pool made our days so much fun. Jose' C at the Barracuda Bar was the best. He saw my husband coming and new exactly what he wanted. Modesto in the morning buffet was great, always had a smile and treated you like you were the only one there. We encountered so many wonderful staff, they should all give themselves a round of applause. Everyone was a joy to speak with. We will be returning to Secrets Royal Beach next year for our daughters wedding and we are looking forward to seeing everyone again.

Honeymoon - February 2025
Amazing resort! We upgraded to the preferred club and it is the only way to go! The staff is the best in the world! Make sure to visit Sammy, Daniella, and Aris at the preferred club swim up bar! Those three will honestly make your trip! They made us feel like family during our stay! I would also request Manny for a butler if you book preferred club! He is hands down the best person at his job. He was incredibly attentive, responsive, and friendly. There was not a request we had that he did not jump on for us. We went for our honeymoon and will 100% be going back to enjoy their amazing pools and some of the best beaches in the world!

Escape from WI Weather
My wife and I have been to five previous all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean/Mexico...Secrets RB was THE BEST of these! From service to cleanliness to food to entertainment, everything was topnotch. We were Preferred Club status and felt it was worth the extra cost. Our butler, Ramses, was very attentive. We did not ask a lot of him, but he checked in with us on a daily basis. When we had a couple minor issues, he was there to make things right. He proved to be essential when our departure flight was delayed for a day and we had to arrange to stay an extra night. We liked being able to access the special lounges and the Dreams property as a Preferred Club perk. Fany, Argeni and Ruddy at the Preferred beach/bar were friendly and attentive. Denisse at Coco Cafe was a daily delight. Luis at Olio gave the best smiles with his breakfast coffee/water service. Secrets RB is the first resort that we will likely return to.
