Amazing service from manny and Raul!

We had Manny as our concierge and he was amazing! He always checked in to make sure the room had everything we needed like towels, mini fridge options and water. The hospitality is incredible and they make you feel at home. This is a place that I would definitely want to stay again. Such a beautiful resort and the people who work here know what they are doing!!

    Great resort!!

The room, the service, and the resort as a whole were absolutely amazing! While the food was good, it didn’t quite reach the same high standard as everything else. Still, we had an incredible time and would definitely recommend this place to others. A special shoutout to our concierge, Carlos—he was extremely helpful and attentive throughout our stay!

    Brilliant Stay

I was down for a business event and the experience was fantastic. The resort is pristine and the suites are very spacious and kept that way by a very attentive staff. I only used the Preferred Club pool and the beach but both had great servers and plenty of loungers for everyone. My valets Belén and Demi were really helpful and professional. I felt very lucky to have these two as guides and hosts. I did get in a spa at week’s end and was well worth it. Bravo Secrets!

    You must come here!

WOW. What a fantastic resort and what amazing service! We stayed for one week in the Master Corner Ocean Front Suite (room 2407). The room itself is gorgeous with high-end finishes (like Kohler faucets, sinks, shower heads). The décor is stunning. Secrets Resorts have the most comfortable beds and this was no exception. The view from our wrap around balcony was incredible. I watched the sunrise from our lounge chairs on the balcony every morning. We did not use the tub on the balcony but I wish we had! The snacks and drinks provided in the room were great and were restocked daily without fail. I’ve included pictures of the room because I could go on forever about how much we loved it. Our butlers Gustavo and Duran were extremely helpful and friendly – whenever we asked for something they made it happen! The food at the resort was all excellent. The restaurants are all great, though I will say Tepanyaki is my favourite because the flavours were outstanding. We had Roberto as our chef for Tepanyaki and he was so fun and cooked everything to perfection. In Oceana we had great service from Diana. She combined two of the dishes for me so that I could have Surf & Turf (because I couldn’t decide between the coconut shrimp or the beef filet). At the Market Café (the buffet) we had great service from Daniel and Lidia. The CoCo Café is your 24 hour coffee and snack shop. Cesar makes the best coffees! I went every single day (more than once). The café is all Nespresso branded and Nespresso machines so you get a nice consistent flavour every time. In fact, I noticed that the entire resort only uses Nespresso for their coffee machines at the bars and in the rooms as well. (Make sure you order an Espresso Martini!!) One day we spent on a Balli Bed on the Preferred side of the beach. Benny was our concierge and he is wonderful! I was very sun burnt and he was able to get me aloe vera and cold towels all afternoon! Cesar was our server in the Balli Beds and was awesome – he was great to talk to and gave us excellent service. The Preferred Pool was my favourite because it was always a little more quiet than the other pools and it had thicker padding on the lounge chairs which was nice. Every day Victor greeted us and Elias would come and set up our lounge chairs in the shade for us. Elias was a lifesaver for me because as I mentioned, I was very sunburnt, so he watched our lounge chairs constantly and came over to adjust the umbrella any time the sun moved towards my chair. He also brough me aloe vera and cold towels multiple times every afternoon. He works extremely hard and he always works with a smile. I will miss seeing him every day! The preferred pool DOES check room numbers every hour or two (until they start to recognize you) – which I appreciate because it keeps the pool from getting too busy. They do stand behind their 45 minute rule for reserving chairs… so if you plan on going to lunch or to your room for a while make sure you tell them when you will be returning or else they will remove your items. I actually liked this because it meant that we never had to worry about getting a spot. The beach was also beautiful. They used a tractor multiple times a day to pull away any seaweed that had washed up. There was no shortage of beach chairs however the front row ones facing the ocean were usually hard to get… but if you went to the preferred beach you wouldn’t have a problem there. The resort as a whole is STUNNING. The décor and small details did not go unnoticed. The elegant décor and the high end finishes give such a luxurious feeling throughout. The restaurants are decorated like extremely high end restaurants, and I noticed that each restaurant even has its own unique cutlery, dishwares, and glasswares to go with its own vibe, and I thought that was such a great touch! The walkways and paths are all lined with vegetation on both sides and even though the resort is only a year old the plants and palm trees are growing in nicely. I didn’t notice any mosquitos despite how much vegetation there is. The entertainment is good – we only went to a few shows at night and we did not go to the Desires night club (we are too tired at night!). The Elements show was my favourite and the main singer/guitarist is extremely talented! The theatre is very nice inside and we had good service when we went. The Rendevous Bar always had live music every night and it was always very good. The entertainment during the day was mostly around the social pool which I wasn’t around so I only went over to participate in the Hat decorating session which I loved, and the paint your own Mexican alebrije on the beach which was also amazing. The spa was GORGEOUS. It was serene and beautiful. The robes were incredible quality and I wish I could have brought one home. We did a hydrotherapy circuit with Rocio which ends in her giving you a scalp massage – it was very relaxing. Then we had massages and mini-facials from Sulem and Lili… they were wonderful! Make sure you request them! The preferred club guests have the hydrotherapy session included with their stay which is a nice touch (and I believe that goes for all Secrets resorts). I’ve given all the good and now its time for a little bit of critique… I did not like that the resort had multiple conferences and weddings during the week we stayed. The weddings are not really disruptive to other guests for the most part, but the conferences were very disruptive. Friday night, Saturday night, and Sunday night they had large events on the sandy area between the pools and the actual beach. The nights they had those conference events they closed more restaurants on the resort than they usually do which limits your dinner options. It also meant that they had a large stage and live bands playing for hours on each of those nights. I didn’t mind the first night because it was nice to sit on my balcony and listen to the band… but 3 nights in a row of VERY loud bass shaking our room was quite irritating. They also had big lights that would move and shine across peoples’ rooms including ours. I think if they are going to have conference events they should space them out (like maybe only one per weekend) so that people who paid a lot of money for their vacation don’t have to be disturbed 3 nights in a row while they’re in their rooms or trying to enjoy their balconies. Overall, this resort is amazing and I would definitely recommend it to anyone. The preferred upgrade was worth it in my opinion because of the pool and beach areas being less crowded. The preferred lounge is also a beautiful place to hang out. And don’t forget that the preferred side visitors get a hydrotherapy session included with their stay!

    Amazing resort and excellent service

For a newly opened resort they certainly have everything running smoothly. From check-in to check-out. Our room was fantastic and the butler service a nice touch. The responded to any and every request. Everyone of the staff smile and speak to you when passing. This resort is will remain on our list as a place to return. Thank you Secrets.
