Dec 20, 2024First All-Inclusive experience
This was our first all-inclusive vacation, and Secrets Papagayo absolutely made it an amazing experience. The location is spread out, with little bungalows and rooms clustered in groups, but isolated enough that we always felt secluded. It is rather hilly, so if you're planning on walking, make sure you bring good shoes. However, the shuttle service is prompt and courteous, so walking between rooms and amenities is not the only option. The food was good, not exceptional. I feel like it was a little toned down spice-wise, but it makes sense that not everyone has the same tastes, and they make it so everyone can enjoy it. Portofino (Italian) was very good, Himitsu (Pan-Asian) was very good, and the Market Cafe (buffet) was consistently good. The only restaurant we didn't really care for was the Seaside Grill, it's the only one we didn't visit more than once. Special shout out to the Teppanyaki table at Himitsu (which requires a same-day reservation). The staff was a definite highlight of our trip. Everyone was very kind, willing to help, and welcoming. Special shout out to Allison, she was so much fun getting people set up for activities and she made us feel like we were always welcome and wanted. Carolina at the Himitsu Teppanyaki table was amazingly fun, and made that experience so worthwhile. And William makes the best smoked Old Fashioned I've ever had, he puts in great effort and care to cater to his guests. All told, we had a great experience, and will definitely be back!

Overall I enjoyed myself and my 60th BD. Thank You.
I had the pleasure of visiting Secrets Papagayo for my 60th BD. The resort is amazing and beautiful. However it was a bit slow for me. What I mean by that is even though I am 60 I am not an old 60.. I wish there was more entertainment. It was like things shut down after the 8:30 show and there was nothing else for us to do. Also I don't like that we had to pay for transportation to take us into town to site see.

Perfect Get Away
Very nice people, Francis, Alison and Derick from Activity Team are great. The all inclusive stay, makes it a no problem meal time. Don’t forget to have the jet-ski experience, it’s worth it, especially for first timers…we had a blast. The tour is also great, horseback riding and visiting the waterfalls. The place also have SPA, tennis court, gym, and night entertainments. Thank you, our stay has been a delight.

Secrets Papagayo is Beautiful.
Secrets Papagayo is an intimate resort in a beautiful location. We enjoyed the wonderful accommodations, food and exceptional service. Miriam Morales was wonderful to us as our personal contact for our stay and she helped with so many things that made our stay stress free. Nelson is the best driver we have ever had. always smiling and remembered our names after meeting us once. Wonderful resort. very relaxing, beautiful, great activities, and the food was delicious. we liked the Italian and Asian restaurants. They were the best.

Great entertainment crew
We had a great time playing with the entertainment crew Jerick, Alison, Francis, Hilla and Edward. They were great and kept us very entertained. Randy gave us great service poolside. Gerardo gave great food from the bare foot grill. Edward is very good at basketball and water polo in the pool
