    Bahia Mita Resort

    I loved all the restaurants and the service. Portofino was our favorite. I had the lamb shank the 1st night and it was excellent and very filling. The next time I had the sea bass and it was great. I would get either again. The Beef Wellington with Frog Legs were my favorite at Bordeaux.

    Average Stay

    Good for what it is, typical all inclusive experience. Average food, average drinks, average service. Was insulted by a waiter at a restaurant, made dinner very uncomfortable had to leave the restaurant in tears and quite honestly ruined that night and the next day for me. Ruined the next day due to a butler basically harassing us and following us around, even though we told him it was ok. To get him and the manager off our backs we gave them a way to make up for the indiscretion and at the end nothing was done for us.

    Steer clear. Coming from a frequent traveler.

    Forever a thorn in our honeymoon experience! Loud music, connected to “kids” resort hotel, crowded, on site construction on “preferred level pool” very small unwalkable beach! Steer clear! Tried to resolve issues with front desk requesting a room change to quieter area one night since we couldn’t sleep due to on site “rock concert” and response was “it will be over shortly sir”.

    Zipline experience

    This review is specifically for the resorts' zipline experience. It was my first time trying the zipline. As a beginner I couldn't have asked for better guides to do it with. Abi, Noe, Jaky and Arturo are top notch individuals that work together cohesively, they enjoy each other and their jobs so very much. We started with two ziplines one after another. A series of rope bridges. A bicycle zipline and a bungee style jump at the end. We had so many laughs and I don't know about them but it's an experience I'll never forget. Highly recommend if you are visiting Bahia Mita Surf and Spa that you don't pass up the opportunity to spend some time with these wonderful individuals, having a thrill in the beauty of the jungle.

    Recommend for a relaxing getaway.

    We enjoyed our visit the service was excellent. Everyone is friendly and very helpful. We spent a lot of time at the Bluewater pool and Kik took very good care of us. Also, the pizza was really good! Juan at the Portofino gave us exceptional service. Would go there again.
