Apr 05, 2025Another great trip to Akumal!
This was our 3rd visit to this beautiful resort. When we arrived, the resort was at full capacity so it was not easy to find chairs at the pool. However, the pool concierge staff were very helpful. Antonio and David (pool concierges) helped us get chairs and umbrellas. They did a good job of making sure people didn’t save a chair all day that they weren’t using. While we were at the activity pool Samuel was our favorite server – he even remembered us from a past visit. The food was great, and we especially liked the Portofino restaurant, and Raul was a great server and made us feel special. The entertainment team led great activities. We enjoyed Carla’s water bike class, Max’s bike tour, Isabella did stretching and Carlos always stopped to check in on us. We also had a beautiful room, and our building concierge (Billie) was great at helping us with anything we needed. Sometimes walking us to where we wanted to go. We recommend this resort! We also took advantage of the preferred club and the lounge for coffee in the morning. Fernanda always welcomed us with a smile and remembered us from a past visit.

Tolles Erlebnis!
My wife and I are delighted with this resort. We had an excellent vacation here. The resort is beautiful, great food and excellent service! We were most impressed by Antonio and Ruben the concierges of the pools and by Isabella in the Market Café.

Fantastic Resort
Absolutely a fantastic resort with fantastic food beautiful grounds wonderful service. If you love snorkeling this is the place. The big downside is the beach because of the seaweed Every day they have people raking and taking away the seaweed

Our first visit was well worth it.
My wife and I stayed for a week. It’s a beautiful property. The service was excellent. Our concierge, Karina, was so gracious and attentive. We stayed in a building that was not designated as preferred, but the room was beautiful. We loved the quiet pool area, and our attendants, Antonio and Ruben, were always looking out for us. The food was very good, particularly the Italian restaurant and the Japanese restaurant, as well as breakfast in the Market Cafe. We also enjoyed the Spa. I don’t do this often, but Michelle, my masseuse, was wonderful. The Akumal market on Wednesday evening was also great fun. I have very little criticism, but I did not care for the subtle pressure to upgrade to “preferred” rooms. We actually liked being further from the beach, as it was quite windy during our visit. My only other concern was with other guests who stake out chairs near the pool and then abandon them for hours. This is a common problem in many resorts. On balance, I found the staff to be friendly and helpful, and committed to providing excellent service. We hope to come back next year.

Return travelers that were impressed once again!
The resort and grounds are fantastic. Service is top notch. Notable employees with 10/10 service each and every day - Jose/concierge bldg 9B, Karen concierge bldg 9c, Alejandro/entertainment, Alejandro and Ismael/beach bar. The rooms are well equipped and cleaned to perfection daily. Maria/building 9C cleaned ours perfectly. The daily bbq and food options on the pool deck were fantastic. The only drawback was the seaweed. We’ve been to this resort two other times during the same time of year without any seaweed, so this trip was disappointing in that fashion. I highly recommend this resort. Great staff!
