If you can find better hotel do it, if not go on this one

The hotel in poor condition, the room very old and look bad, the food all the time was the same at the buffet, we get room that was not clean and missing items at the room, the kids enjoy but we the parent's not so much, the food in the restaurant we was waiting for almost a hour. The staff was very frendly and nice

DETAILED March 2025 Pro / Con List

We are a family of 5 with kids aged 14, 12, 12 who are experienced with and pretty realistic about all-inclusives (you get what you pay for & it’s not going to be perfect, so don’t let it ruin your vacation!) & prioritize: pool shade, food, keeping kids busy, sleep, good showers & a room to fit our family. For reference, we went to Crown Paradise Club the last 2 years in their 2-storey family room, but wanted a change & couldn’t handle their subpar food any more. PROS - Quick & easy check in/out - Adult’s wrist bands give room access - SO nice to not to manage room cards (we got a card for our 12-year-olds) - Family room spacious enough for 5 - walled-off bunkbed gives separation & large bathroom with 2 sinks & toilet closet worked well - I could get pool chairs in decent shade most of the day at 6:30-7am (I expect/plan to get up early for this b/c it’s essential for us) - Buffet food selection - I’m picky (prefer healthier food & chocolate desserts) & it was better than average for resorts - Cactus Grab & Go: our favourite place to cool off & get “healthy” lol snacks - Creperie - yummy coffees, ice cream & crepes (line lengths varied) - Restaurant food was generally good (better than buffet) - Hot showers with good water pressure - Decent mattresses with a variety of pillow types - Good beach for older kids to play in the ocean’s waves with minimal seaweed - Theatre-style venue for night shows, which my kids enjoyed - Fun water slides (for adults too!) - Good pool music that was right level of loud - Melamine buffet plates - nice not to have ceramic CONS - VERY hot & stuffy in the buffet (no AC & minimal air flow) - we got dehydrated & tired and struggled to eat every time we went in. We tried to sit near the entrance or by an industrial fan, or take plates to the adjacent Cactus (not allowed, but we HAD to cool off) -> this was the first thing our kids told friends about the trip. - Our room was always 21.5 - 22 degrees C, which was uncomfortable for us at night. - # of elevators for a hotel with 12 floors. We were on 4th so mostly used the stairs (= 6 flights - got LOTS of steps to work off desserts!) or the staff elevators in stairwells (not ideal but it cut the wait time a lot). - Lack of pool chairs vs. # of guests. Seadust - please place more by removing some large planters, the massage tables that are never used & paid cabanas by pool + add where they do the daily character parade & sometimes put food. You can fit more & guests shouldn’t have to use buffet chairs for seating. - Hotel perpendicular to ocean & property barely wider than hotel so very narrow beachfront (chairs are jammed in that space) & minimal landscaping. - No restaurant reservation system & not all had beepers so you have to go when they open or plan to wait. - No adult pool - disappointed it changed to an exclusive members perk after our booking. - 7pm evening shows is very early & limiting. My kids wanted to watch so we ate early. - Needs more property maintenance - at most resorts you see little projects happening, but here it was rare & you could tell in property upkeep. Staff were cleaning, not repairing. - Courts closed before the temperature cooled off so we couldn’t use the pickleball equipment we packed. - Buffet process: forced to wait to be seated, but then you’re lucky to have cutlery, be offered a drink, or get plate cleared. We would have been fine with cafeteria-style, so either set it up for self-service or add more staff. - Wifi dropped off for short periods of time throughout the day by the pool - a bit annoying. - Not enough mini golf balls & not complete sets of balls for pool tables. - Gym closed for renos. The temp setup was workable, but not all cardio machines worked. - No strawberry jam & often no whole wheat bread at buffet - my husband has pbj on toast at every resort & this was first time it’s been a problem! - Pretty sure our 14-year-old was served alcohol more than once despite having a non-adult wristband (he shyly told me near the end of the trip that a few times his drink was “bitter” - thank goodness drinks were weak). Yes, he’s taller & should have said “virgin” mojito but this is UNACCEPTABLE. I accompanied him one time afterwards and witnessed the bartender correct himself & didn’t put in alcohol at the last second -> bartenders need better training. SUMMARY: it has some key positives, but also offsetting negatives, so we won’t return, even for a deal.

Roberto was amazing and his service was excellent. He made several delicious recommendations for food options. He was attentive to our table and made sure we had refills to our drinks. Overall he made the dining experience unforgettable for me and my family.

    Great stay at SeaDust

Just got back from a week at Sea Dust Resort, and it truly exceeded expectations. The service, especially in the restaurants, was on another level. We were lucky to be taken care of by an incredible team of hostesses who made every meal feel special. Leslie, the captain, ran the floor with absolute grace and professionalism — every detail was handled smoothly under her leadership. We were served by Jose one evening, and his attention to detail and friendly attitude made it one of the best dining experiences of the trip. The hostesses — Angela, Louis, Edgar, Ruben, Pedro, Eduardo, Angel, and Gabrielle — were all amazing. Every single one of them greeted us with a smile, remembered our names, and somehow made us feel like we were the only guests in the restaurant. Whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner, they kept the atmosphere welcoming, organized, and warm. Beyond just good food, it was the people that made our dining experience unforgettable. The staff at Sea Dust Resort turned our stay into something special, and we’re already talking about coming back next year. Huge thank you to everyone who made this trip feel like home
