Changeling place to stay with small children regardless of advertisement
We thought we were staying a resort when we booked but it felt more like a hotel. • The where single file lines for everything o Coffee, snack bar, bar, etc • The family room was directly above the bar in the lobby o so, it was very loud in the evening there was also live music directly under our room, • the buffet was a large circle o no guidance on direction to follow so everyone was tripping over each other o also being circular you and to walk around and around to get things with no line of sight • we all got very ill one at time • had to pay $55 dollars for Drammen in the lobby • We had to be seated at tables, but the wait staff didn't react to us • we had to get our water and drinks most of the time from the wait station, • the timing of the buffet was annoying with small children open • 1 hour after the normal times 1 and 6 instead of 12 and 5pm • Went to a restaurant in the lobby that opened at 5 but didn’t get simple food until 6 so it saved us no time whatsoever • there was a party at the pool and there was a mess in the morning we cleaned up so our kids didn't get into it • the kids club didn't offer meals or food so they couldn't be self-sufficient • also the processes for the kids club wasn't clearly communicated even with the staff working there seem to be a disconnect so we didn't know what or how to use it. • the wait times and elevators was up to 10mins at time and 1 lift remained broken our entire trip • also, very annoying with small childern • the staff around the grounds didn’t interact with us which is a departure from other all-inclusive we have been on. • There felt like a lot of solicitation • Spa, massage • Had to pay for cabanas • Towel guy trying to upsell experiences All very annoying and not why we go to a resort, they need to be isolated so you get it when you want it

This resort needs help. Arrived and check in was a long wait. Had a hot mini fridge and had to wait on staff to replace. They replaced one that was just as bad. I ended up placing buckets of ice in there to help cool it. The ac works but doesn't cool the room and you cant cut it down to a temperature of comfort. I had no hot water, I had to go downstairs twice to ask them to fix it. The hot tub didn't work. The internet is slow. The staff will tell you to use the bus to go to town. DO NOT. This bus is for locals to travel to their homes and work. It costed us 40.00 to return to the resort by taxi. The bus ended up dropping us off in a bad section.

It was ok..
I want to start off by saying the staff at this resort were amazing. They were friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to make sure you had everything you needed. The food at the buffet was fantastic BUT if you have allergies, it is basically Russian roulette. There is a sign there that tells you basically everything is not guaranteed to not have come in contact with allergens. I went with a two year old with a peanut allergy. Every day at meal time was stressful for me. For people without allergies, you have an insane variety to choose from. Though some items were bland and every bite of scrambled eggs most definitely had shells in it, the food was relatively good. The restaurants were all first come first serve. So basically if you have kids, there is absolutely no way you're getting there early enough to get a table. I'm sure they were great.. The rooms.. this was a large problem for me. A family resort filled with children with nothing but a four foot panel of glass keeping you or your child from falling hundreds of feet. As someone who is afraid of heights, I will not be staying here again because of this reason. All it would take is one stumbling drunk person to fall, ruining everyone's night or even landing on someone. The rooms were nice. Though the bathrooms were in need of renovations, they were spacious. The room doesn't lock from the inside. Have wondering toddler?? They could literally get up in the middle of the night, open the door and leave!! We had to stack chairs and suitcases against the door whenever we were in there to make sure he couldn't get out. They have a lock but once you pull on the handle it unlocks! I couldn't believe it. Imagine a child running around alone at night unable to get back into the room! The ocean view was beautiful! Other than garbage on the ground or broken beach furniture, the view was lovely. The kids pool was fantastic. You can't bring a drink there which was a bummer but the kids had a blast on those slides. Hidden beside the water slides is the kids club. My kids went here every day. Though I don't recommend you leave your children there as they are not fully supervised, I recommend you take them there to still be outside but out of the sun! The girls who worked there were super friendly and were fantastic with my daughter! She did face painting and made dreamcatchers. Lots of play structures my son enjoyed climbing. It was honestly the best part of the resort! The public pool is always packed, talking if you don't get there for 5 am you aren't getting a seat. It has a beautiful view though! The ocean is right there and it was amazing. They even have a kids pool with the regular pool and my kids loved it there. Lots of kids and it isn't too deep. The elevators were ALWAYS BROKEN. that was a big bummer for us. Get your workouts in using the stairs! Seriously though it was awful. If you feel like getting ripped off, the stores on the resort are for you. I'm talking 25$ CAD for a tiny thing of sunscreen. I wanted to get my daughter's hair braided, she is 6 with shoulder length hair, they wanted 200 USD for her. I couldn't believe it. If you need anything in your room though like I said, staff was amazing!! They have fun drinks for kids too, and icecream at the coffee bar. Kids loved that. Our housekeeper always made our room look amazing and decorated it everytime. Fridge was always stocked with pop and booze. Loved that. They actually have kids channels in English which I was very thankful for! Drinks were fantastic at the bar too! People would scream all throughout the night too . Not that they can do anything about that. All in all it was a decent vacation.

Worst place for a family vacation
I will no recommend this facility, food is terrible, a lot areas are broken down and the place is outdated and unkept. Lost all my money, once asked for at least a partial refund they basically said no. Very unhappy experience. Definitively a 0/10.

Zipline disappointment
Zipline is for short kids who are under 4’9”. They say it is for kids under 15 yo, well my teens were bummed Other than that we had a great experience. The food is great even at the buffet. No reservations at the restaurants is a problem - we had to eat dinner early otherwise it was 1hr 40 min wait Shows are great for the kids Pool activities are fun Beach is clean. My kids found huge swirly shells in the ocean Overall it was an amazing vacation.
