Santorini first visit
The hotel was lovely, staff spoke excellent English and were very friendly and efficient. The cleaners were excellent - one of the cleanest hotels I have stayed. Shower was nice and powerful Breakfast was very nice and something slightly different every day - pizza's at the pool bar were excellent too. We had a lovely trip the only downside was that all three of the pools were freezing - they could of at least heated the hot tub it was more like ice bath!!! The Island is same prices as here for drinks but the shops were a lot more expensive - get your room booze in duty free!!

Great choice for a peace and quiet break.
Clean and spacious room. Lovely hotel surroundings. Nice swimming pools and only a 30 seconds walk to the black stones beach. The water is so clear. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is a buffet service. Freshly prepared breakfast to cater for all.

There are many very good aspects to this hotel : The setting around the pool area. The private beach just across the road. The staff were all lovely and worked tirelessly to keep the whole place spotless and working efficiently. The location is good - not too busy but plenty of choice of bars and restaurants. A 5 minute walk gets you to Perivolos Beach bus stop, where there are regular and cheap buses to Fira (they first go on to Perissa, before setting off to Fira). The room we were given was okay but not great. It faced the road behind the hotel where trucks/buses/taxis would often stop leaving their engines running. Some very noisy motorbikes during the night as well...it might be worth choosing a room upgrade to avoid this. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice but the fresh fruit was surprisingly mediocre and the orange juice was awful - reconstituted powder from a machine. We opted to bring our own cartons bought from the nearby mini-market.

Fantastic chilled week!
Had a lovely family holiday here this week, we very rarely had to ask anything from reception etc as everything was so well Organised. The staff are lovely all around the hotel. Hotel is lovely and clean. You can catch the sunrise from the hotel beach area - lovely clean beach with a fab lady running around cleaning the sand of the mattresses. The sunbeds round the pool are amazing, like lying in a big comfy bed! The hotel organised a day trip for us which was fantastic, and also taxis to Fira etc - we made a great choice in choosing this hotel as it is so relaxing compared to the hustle and bustle of the main touristy areas - even in October. I can understand why people have said here that they come back time and time again, we will be back! Thank you for a lovely stay!

Definitely recommend Santo Miramare!
The hotel rooms were just as lovely as they looked on the pictures. We did pay for a room upgrade, simply because it offered a sea view, however, we couldn't see the sea as there were a lot of trees which were the same height as our balcony - if I booked again, I likely wouldn't do the upgrade based on the view. The room was lovely though and great size - our friends stayed in a standard room which was also lovely. The decor was modern and the room was well maintained. The rooms were cleaned each day, with fresh towels, bed made etc. Breakfast had a good choice, I couldn't fault it. There were plenty of pools, albeit slightly cold, but this was fine after a few minutes. We did have to get up early to get sunbeds, around 7am, if we wanted a good spot. But we found on days we didn't, there would still be beds available but we would struggle to get 4 together. The drink service at the pool was good. We also had lunch which was good quality and had good choices. We did not eat dinner, but it was a buffet for £25 each. Entertainment was on 2 evenings a week, Wednesdays and Saturdays - they were not the best. Overall, the staff throughout the hotel were professional and really friendly - nothing was too much for all them. The location of the hotel is great, with lots of restaurants to choose from on the beach road and a private sliver of beach just for hotel guests. We took the local bus on a few occasions. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel entrance, but there are only a few buses a day at this stop. For more frequent stops the bus stop in Perivolos is a 10 minute walk. We could not fault the hotel at all - if we ever return to Santorini, we will definitely return to this hotel. We feel the hotel location was probably the best on the island - lots of restaurants, easy bus access and quiet.
