Fantastic Finisterra
This was our fourth stay at Sandos Finisterra and the first time we have stayed in a Casita Suite. We loved that room! We usually stay in a Finisterra Jr. Suite, but none were available. The room still has an amazing view of the marina, but has the added advantage of a second room, a living room area. Perfect for having our friends over for a drink before dinner. The views from Don Diego for breakfast are fantastic! We can't say we had a bad meal at any point of our stay, and no dining reservations are needed which makes things super easy. The 4 of us didn't have any problems getting a table at 7 each night. We were super lucky and just happened to catch a baby sea turtle hatch by the stairs to the beach one day. It was a nest that the eco team didn't know about, so it hadn't been protected. We saw dozens of turtles emerge and make their way to the sea. Incredible! We took a water taxi over to the Lover's Beach - super easy, $15 USD per person roundtrip from a water taxi vendor in the marina. We just walked over and found someone. Just be careful getting off the water taxi into the water. There are guys there that help, but it can be a bit dangerous if you don't time the waves properly. We ate in town one night at Mr. Alexanders. We called an Uber and got a new suburban suv - an inexpensive way to get around. We did have to walk to the entrance to get picked up though. We then walked over to Cabo Wabo Cantina and caught the live band, lots of fun - and walked back through the marina back to Finisterra. That is one of the best things about this hotel is the proximity to the marina and how easy it is to get around. The hotel never feels busy, there are lots of loungers by the pools. Temperature of the pools is perfect in late October, and overall temperatures still nice and hot. We would watch the World Series in the sports bar before dinner and the server there is super attentive! This is a great venue for weddings - we saw one almost daily. There were weddings on the beach and the Finisterra Plaza - both offering unique views. We took a peek at the set up for the reception and the view of the marina in the evening was amazing. Nicki, the general manager, is always circulating greeting guests. She has a memory of a steel vault and makes her repetitive guests feel like rock stars. We have to admit, part of the allure of this hotel is Nicki! We can't wait to go back and have booked for October this year already! I suggest you book in advance if you want a room on the marina side of the hotel.

Agave Restaurant
At Agave restaurant we had the pleasure of having Benjamin as our waiter we got Awesome Service by him twice. He treated us like royalty and we were at the best restaurant in the world. The service was impeccable. His recommendations were bang on. Our glasses were never empty. The food was fabulous and filling. He definitely gave 200% for service. He is a great asset to the Agave team in our eyes. Thank you Benjamin and the rest of the team for the fabulous meals.

Destination Wedding
I had my destination wedding at Sandos Finisterra, and it was absolutely perfect! I was a little nervous beforehand since most of my communication with the wedding planner was through email, but once I arrived, all my worries disappeared. Every detail I had requested was executed beautifully. Paulina, my wedding planner, was incredible—she was so organized, thoughtful, and made sure everything ran smoothly. She even helped bustle my dress and remove my veil. During our beach photos, I lost my diamond bracelet, and Erick from Cabo Photo Studio and his amazing team helped by going through our pictures to pinpoint where I dropped it. Paulina even requested a team with a metal detector to come help, and luckily we found it quickly! I’m so grateful to them for going above and beyond. A huge thank you to Erick and his team for capturing our day so beautifully, and to the wonderful ladies at the salon who did an amazing job on my hair and makeup. Reverend Juan also did a great job leading a heartfelt and meaningful ceremony that we will never forget. After the wedding, we returned to our room to find it decorated with roses, swan-shaped towels, chocolate-covered strawberries, and champagne—such a magical touch. Our guests kept telling us it was the nicest and most fun wedding they had ever attended! The food at the resort was delicious (much better than other all-inclusives I've been to recently) and the bartenders made strong drinks if you asked! While the rooms could use a little updating, they were clean, comfortable, and served their purpose well. Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better wedding experience. Thank you to everyone at Sandos Finisterra for making our dream day so perfect!

👏👏
Great service from all the staff plus they are very friendly each. there is excellent food quality and lots of variety of food. They also make you have a very pleasant stay at the hotel. Especially dinner in agave restaurant, and turtle food were favorites.
