Karla was fantastic!!very friendly to us and kids! Thank u! Slides were fun even if the adult slides were closed. Still had a great time. I speak very little spanish but am trying and she was very patient and helped me when i struggled to find the right words.

Just got back, hated to leave!
Review for Sandos Eco Caracol in Playa del Carmen Don’t let the negative reviews discourage you – some people just have unrealistic expectations. If you're looking for luxury on a budget, perhaps you should be willing to spend a bit more. At Sandos Eco Caracol, you'll get great value for what you pay. As someone who's traveled extensively, I can honestly say this resort exceeded my expectations! The international buffet was always fantastic – there was an amazing variety of food, and as picky eaters, all four of us were always full and satisfied. The chicken strips were especially tasty! Los Lirios was a hit with my kids, who loved the pasta options, including one that tasted just like KD. For a quick bite, Nido’s tacos were delicious – highly recommend them. On Friday nights, they had a "street food" set up outside of El Nido, which we all really enjoyed. The rooms were kept clean and well-maintained. We had a minor issue with the toilet, but I submitted a request via the app, and within 15 minutes, it was fixed. The app is a fantastic tool for keeping track of everything – you can find all the info you need, and booking à la carte restaurants is super easy. Honestly, we didn’t mind sticking to the buffet because the food was that good. The Brazilian steakhouse was incredible – my husband and I agreed it was our favorite dining experience on the property. The resort itself was beautiful and well-kept, with some breathtaking cenotes that are an absolute must-try for swimming. The Mayan ruins on-site were cool to explore, and the wildlife around the resort was fun to watch. The pools were great, and the beach was restored – my daughter had a blast playing in the sand every day. One of the best things was that we never had trouble finding spots to sit by the pools or at the beach. There were always plenty of lounge chairs available. A small tip goes a long way here – even $1-2 is appreciated, and we left money in the mini-fridge each day to ensure it was always well-stocked. The entertainment was top-notch – some of the best shows we’ve seen. The costumes were elaborate and clearly well-thought-out. As this was our first time in Mexico, we were really impressed. Have travelled to Jamaica, Bahamas, Dominican, Cuba, Bermuda and saw some good shows! I’ve already recommended Sandos Eco Caracol to friends, and they are booking. The staff were friendly, and the resort was a great representation of Canada’s warm, friendly spirit. In fact, a worker even mentioned that this was the most Canadians they'd ever had at the resort, and they all agreed that Canadians were the friendliest and always tipped well. Well done, Sandos Eco Caracol! Don’t let the negative reviews fool you – this place is a gem! Kids aqua park
Karla and Aurora at the aqua park were great with the kids and did crafts and made bracelets! Thank you so much! Have been to several resorts before and this one is by far the best for kids and so much to do. Big water slides are closed right now but fingers crossed they open before we leave.

Great time!
Karla and Aurora were amazing! Such fun activities! Our kids loved them. They spent most of the day on the slides. We will definitely be back! It was our birthday and the staff here showed us such a good time. They made us feel special and we had such a good time!

Eco friendly
Mariana was fantastic with our children teaching them about the animals at the petting zoo, feeding the pigs, bunnies, donkeys, and loved naming and planting a tree. They will remember their trip to Sandos Caracol Eco resort for many many years to come.
