    Excellent customer service

Radisson Grenada Beach Resort is a beautiful property sitting directly on the beach. We could see and hear the beach and one of the pools from our room. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful our entire 8 day stay. Our group had 3 rooms and we were taken care of from check in to check out. Every staff member was kind and helpful but one stood out. Our first day on the beach, Akim was working. He brought us drinks, checked on us regularly and shared his knowledge of beautiful Grenada. Each day, he ensured we had everything we needed for the most comfortable stay. He provided excellent customer service, at times anticipating we would need something before we asked. One evening, he hosted bingo and worked the crowd like a pro. He made sure everyone was enjoying themselves even if we weren't winning. Akim is excellent at his job and made our trip memorable for a long time to come.

    Very Please Customer

I was very pleased with my stay at the Radisson, the location was perfect, and the view was amazing. The staff there was extremely helpful and friendly , to the point I would like to give them some recognition: Alison-Chef, Arden-Security, Kendra-Server, Greg - Bellman, Linnel -Server, Dimitius - Front Desk, Michael - HR, Ariel - Front Desk and Lawrence- GM. I am in HR, so I am able to recognized when people offer good customer service. I would highly recommend this hotel and I do plan to come back here.

    Old Hotel With Dated Rooms

Good grounds, well kept, but unfortunately, the rooms are old and worn out after forty-years of use. Improvements have been made, but the rooms take much away from one's experience. There is only so much you can do to upgrade a room after so much use. If an old/dated room is not a problem with your vacation, then you should give it a try at the Radisson. The breakfast is good, the grounds, pool, are in good shape. You may wish to pay a little more somewhere else if a modern room is important.

Not even “Bang on average mate”

I was intending to say that overall, we experienced exactly what we’d have expected from a mid-range hotel - but that was before we experienced the restaurant …. Our room was ocean facing in the Anthurium wing - reasonably bright and spacious with an extra day bed and a decent sized balcony, just yards from the beach. The bed was comfortable and the lighting was fine with English plug sockets each side of the bed. The storage was generous, with an iron & board provided but no robes. There was a combined full length mirror/attached shelf which served as a dressing table. A fridge and kettle plus filter coffee machine were provided although refill supplies were infrequent The bathroom had a vanity unit and walk in shower with a hand held shower unit. But again refill supplies were slow to arrive and we had to ask for them. The towels were generous sized and good quality and a hair dryer was provided. But the water pressure was quite weak, as was the hair dryer Breakfast was “ok” but not lavish - and unfortunately the cooking smell from the eggs section pervaded the entire area. Although described as a “buffet”, everything (bar the one cereal option provided) was served by staff causing queues to form (and limiting portion sizes) - and on occasion coffee service was slow at the table. Weekends were particularly busy when outsiders come in too And now to our restaurant experience … We dined in the hotel restaurant several times and it became progressively worse. We were initially offered 1 menu which seemed to be more fast food than anything else - although we worked around it eg by asking for the fish to be grilled rather than battered. One night we were offered a dinner menu - but then told most of the items weren’t available. The crisis came to a head one evening when we were told there was no fish, no salad - and no dry white wine of any description only sweet wine). And most of the dessert options were unavailable too And on top of that we always had to wait a long time for the food to be delivered - from 45 minutes to an hour. We were led to believe the cruise ship passengers who flocked to the beach each day had used the reserves - really?? On the plus side, the food (when it arrived) was generally tasty - and the staff couldn’t apologise enough. In fact we felt really sorry for them There was also live music on some nights and a BBQ twice a week It was possible to walk to several other restaurants along the beach, which was quite well lit - although it’s always wise to take a torch! - and an umbrella although none was available in the room The beach and sea are, of course, glorious. Beach towels and loungers were available although there was no “service”. The main problem was the fact that from Monday to Friday the beach is packed with passengers from the huge cruise ships which dock just across the bay in St George’s. There were usually 2 each day which resulted in hundreds - if not thousands - of additional bodies on the beach and in the sea. And from about 6.45am onwards, hundreds of beds and umbrellas were set out each day along the shoreline, with chat (and shouting) between the workers which woke us up! Be aware this hotel is not a member of the Radisson Rewards programme (which offers members a 10% discount on food and beverages). Instead it’s a member of Choices (which didn’t offer us any form of discount) Overall - other than the restaurant - we enjoyed our stay. But we’ll look for an alternative hotel next time we return in the hope of avoiding the restaurant issues described above
