Excellent service Chevanese
Chevanese Bygrave has been our pool side server, she has provided excellent service for us all and has always been able to bring a smile to our faces. We were a larger group and has been able to remember all our orders and never missed any of our drinks.

Excellent service from Chevanese
Chevanese Bygrave was very friendly & accomodating. She has a great personality & made my family feel very special. She has a beautiful smile and very good with the young to the old. Her laugh was contagious and took very good care of my family, we did not want for anything!

DO NOT STAY HERE
DO NOT STAY HERE. Literally stay anywhere else, you are WASTING your money here! The following are just SOME of our poor experiences: 1.) Upon check in we were supposed to receive a $300 Resort credit. We never received it!!! 3.) The entire resort was overbooked and understaffed. What was the point of staying at this resort if every single service we wanted to enjoy was fully booked?! 4.) The meal situation was terrible. The restaurants were fully booked and it was hard getting reservations. There was only one buffet on the entire resort and during mealtimes, the line was out the door! When we did snag reservations at any of the restaurants, it took 2+ hours for our meal to be served. We sat at the Hunter steakhouse one night near tears as we watched every single diner that had arrived AFTER us, receive their meal and FINISH before we even got our main course. The first night we arrived, we weren’t able to get any reservations so we opted for room service, a lot of the items on the menu were not available. When the food finally arrived, hours later, it was the most poorly prepared food we’ve had in our lives. I wish I could describe how unappetizing and inedible it was but words truly fail me. The overall taste and quality of food at the buffets and restraunt were so poor, not at all what we’d expect from a five star. The ice cream machine was almost always broken. We have never felt so hungry at an “all inclusive” as we did at this particular resort due to the lack of access to the meal services. 5.) The AC in our room did not work the entire duration of our stay. Every day we put in a maintenance request and every day it would cease to work. The fan in our room was broken and one had two speeds, very low and very high. Our baby was sweating every night. 6.) The room overall was in poor shape. The shower knob was broken and the entry roof was cracking. The TV remote’s batteries were dead. Our “fully stocked” minibar had one soft drink and two beers in it. It’s as if there was no quality check prior to our occupation of the room. 7.) We had shared with the staff when booking that we were celebrating our anniversary. To make our celebration special, they placed a “happy anniversary” banner on the outside of our door. They didn’t even bother to service the room at that time - take out the trash, make the bed, etc. For a five star we were expecting at least a glass of champagne and maybe some rose petals at the minimum but there was none of that. So disappointing. 8.) We requested a late checkout since we have a small baby and there were two hours between checkout and when our airport car would arrive. We were denied late checkout because of high occupancy. So we packed up and were ready to check out at the standard time. We asked for a concierge to come up with a trolley for our bags. We waited over an HOUR for someone to arrive. What happened to the high occupancy and urgency to vacate?! They could have just given us a later checkout at that point! And this was a common theme through the duration of our stay - any simple request taking HOURS to be fulfilled! Any time we brought the concerns above to the staff, we were told “It’s our busy season. We’re fully booked.” While we understand that it was the busy season, we also understand that we paid inflated busy season prices! Therefore the quality of our stay should not be impacted by the busy season. The truth is that the resort has not been well maintained, there isn’t quality check, there aren’t quality chefs or servers, and management severely overbooked the resort for what it could handle. This was the most expensive accommodation we’ve booked to date and it was also the most disappointing accommodation we’ve ever booked to date. Royalton Blue Waters does not deserve to call itself a five star resort. We reached out to Marriott afterwards and they’ve been unwilling to do anything about our experience. STAY FAR AWAY

One week family stay
Overall we had an amazing time at Royalton Blue Waters. We chose to do the Diamond Club. Here is a list of pros and cons we experienced during our one week stay. PROS *Kids club felt safe, clean, and staff were attentive *hotel overall is VERY clean and the room cleaning staff were excellent *Buffet was good, Jerk hut was excellent (we ate lunch there everyday) *there is a "kids corner" for the buffet which we loved because it's lower for kids to grab their own food and the selection for breakfast, lunch and dinner were awesome *resort is small so it was easy to quickly go back to your room if you've forgot something *overall this resort is stunning and well maintained *Although people save chairs at the pool and beach, we never had a problem finding a beach or pool chair anywhere at any time of day *entertainment was good * wrist band as room card is genius and makes everyone's life a little easier! *nice to have no towel cards...easy system CONS *The female staff specifically at the Diamond Club Beach Bar need an attitude check. A smile or hello would go a long way. There were also a few times we were the only ones there waiting. They saw us and continued speaking to eachother. SHOUT OUT TO SHEYMAR at the Diamond Club Bar though. He was amazing! So attentive, professional and friendly. The staff should the a few tips from that young man! *life guards at the top of the large slides were absolutely useless. I found them laying down or slouched on a chair with their head down looking at their phone. They are there to ensure it's safe for the next person to go down. When I asked if it was safe, he looked up and made me feel like I was bithering him for asking. Sorry but it's an accident waiting to happen - they need to get up off of their chair and check to ensure the last people who went down have cleared from the bottom. *not enough shade, especially during the kids splash pad pool area. I spoke with a few other guests with babies/smaller kids and they all felt the same. *a lot of lounge chairs had a bar broken at the back around the splash pad kids area, so you couldn't put your chair up
