Everything about this place was poor from start to finish. Run down. Awful food. Customer service abysmal. To the point where by the end of the week it was almost laughable how bad this "5 star" hotel is. So so bad I plead with anyone to choose anywhere else on the island.

Terrible management and customer service
We are currently at the resort and very disappointed. We are a family of 5 that booked 2 rooms. At the time of booking directly on the Royalton website a mistake took place during the process. I booked 2 rooms, 1 with 3 in room second room with 2 adults. For some reason the second room had 3 people which clearly was a mistake. After receiving the confirmation email I realized the booking had 3 in each room which was not correct. I immediately contacted Royalton again. … they did nothing and said it was to the discretion of the resort. In other words the resort could have done the right thing and credited the one child. The security from walking over to the Hide Away side of the resort was unnecessary as we were going over to spend money at the Duty Free Shop. The bouncers “ in red shirts saidI “ wasn’t allowed “to visit the jewellery store at the neighbor property , even though the lady at the store advised me to go over . It wasn’t until the owner of the store “ walked us “ over to his store were we allowed. He is the owner of both stores. Lastly for those who like to have a full service bar in room drink, don’t expect a full stacked fridge you will not get it. We had 2 red stripe on arrival we have seen nothing since. Very bad experience , and we travel a lot. … actually. This is the first time posting a message just because this place is so bad. We have stayed at Royalton in past but this location is terrible and is not a 4/5 star. If you plan on visiting Jamaica I suggest another resort. This experience has truly been very disappointing. We love Jamaica but will never return to this resort. Management had the chance to do the right thing but instead they chose not to. Not very wise business decision. DO NOT BOOK THIS RESORT.

While waiting to check in after a very long travel-day, Bianca, Derry and the Blue Water lobby bar staff were incredible. Their attentiveness and professionalism (while at a vacation resort btw) were absolutely incredible. Changed the trajectory of our vacation!

Do not book this hotel
We have been to a lot of 5 star resorts in the Caribbean and this is by far the worst. Not one day was our mini bar restocked, I had to constantly ask for water which was never bought to the room, then the bar staff don’t want to give you more than 1 or 2 bottles like you’re trying to steal it? Very odd. The bar staff look annoyed when you ask them for a drink like you’re an inconvenience. Barely any of the staff looked happy to be there. We were asked to clear our own drinks from the table whilst bar men were stood there doing nothing and one time we were even told to go to the coffee shops ourselves and get the espresso to put in an espresso martini at the bar?? The steak house ran out of red wine and the Indian restaurant ran out of beer and gin. It was just disaster after disaster to be quite honest. All our towels were taken from our room and not replaced which I didn’t notice until I’d got out the shower. We also paid for a cabana for 160 dollars and struggled to get a drink, the fridge is filled with warm drinks at the start of the day and my sister in laws phone was also stolen from our cabana at the end of the day after she left it there and the staff couldn’t care less about helping her. I could go on and on but the bottom line is do not waste your money on this hotel. It is not 5 star.

Incredible trip!
Omar, Nadine and Chantelle made our vacation! Incredible time with literally the nicest people. They make you feel at home and treat you like family. I will be back 1000%. I have never felt so welcomed on a trip then I did here. Thank you so much for Nova Scotia, Canada.
