Disappointed
This was a once in a lifetime vacation we took our family on for our 45th Wedding Anniversary. We were very disappointed that we were separated from our 3 children's rooms in a separate building. We worked through a travel agent so everything would be how we wanted it & she had it lined up so we were to be in the same building close to each other. There is only one Presidential Suite on each floor, which we understood. We had two Presidential Suites, one for my daughters family of 6, and one for us. Our daughters was much nicer...it had a big bathtub on the deck, the deck wrapped around the corner facing the ocean and the pools. We had two Junior Suites that connected for two of our children's families. All Diamond Club. We were way off on the opposite end of a totally different building then our 3 kids rooms that were by each other. Then that room, the air conditioning was not working. We tried to trade rooms, even downgrading to just a Junior Suite, to get air & be closer to our children. No luck. We believe they traded our room for someone else that was in our room & complained. They came in & worked on it a few times. Finally by day 3 we had air. It was difficult to get into the restaurants, being booked up. We wanted a family dinner for all 13 of us at one table on at least one night to celebrate our 45th anniversary. We were able to get an 8pm reservation for 13, so we had the 5 children wait for a late dinner so we could do this. We got in to the Italian restaurant & here they divided us up so 4 were at a separate table. This was extremely disappointing. The food was good, the buffet, the coffeehouse was good. Japanese restaurant was great! Pool & beach were good. Entertainment was good. The cabana was nice. Service was okay.

Wonderful wedding weekend
Our family went to the Royalton Blue Waters in Montego Bay for a wedding, and we had a great time. We had family members on both the adult only side of the resort as well as the family side. Our room was very nice, and the view of the lazy river with the beach and ocean beyond was magnificent. I have to admit I had read some reviews that weren't very complimentary, but that was not our experience. When the wedding day turned out to be rainy, the staff quickly pivoted and came up with other options. Luckily the ceremony itself was able to be held outside with the reception indoors. Our only complaint is the nearly impossible problem of getting dinner reservations. Even adults with the butler service couldn't manage it! Other than that, it was a great vacation, and the staff was SO friendly and nice to us.

Phenomenal!!!
Love the resort, did not want to come home. The staff was outstanding and made us feel at home. Going back in November. Most definitely will recommend the resort to friends. The food and entertainment were great. The beach, swimming pool, sports bar was great. The resort in my opinion earns 5 stars.

Very nice beach, but doesn't make up for other shorcomings
The beach was really nice and the resort wasn't too crowded. We were worried about seaweed but it wasn't an issue. There are limited options for dinner and it was difficult to get into the hibachi restaurant. Overall, the food was lower quality than other all-inclusive resorts. My wife has a gluten allergy and there were very few options for her. Three times, after having meals promised to be gluten free she got sick. We rented a cabana one day and checked the day before to see if she could get gluten free pizza. We were told she could, but then we tried to order it, they said they could not bring it to the cabana and she could not get it to-go. She had to go sit down and eat at the Italian restaurant. Overall, there was not much effort by the staff to accommodate her allergy. Twice, our lights didn't work in the room, but maintenance was pretty quick. Another day our water would randomly shut off. It's hard for a family of four to take showers when the water keeps shutting off. The lazy river is very lazy, you have to propel yourself. The staff was generally friendly. David, Dane, Raymond, and all the others at the Martini bar were awesome. Ajaye, our waiter at Taj, was also awesome and so were the bartenders at the lobby bar. Chad-Rick was super nice and helpful as well. It was a bit annoying though that some of staff would hand you a sheet to review them and watch to see if you circled the prompts for good service. At the coffee shop, we were handed a sheet and asked to fill it out before we even ordered. I get we're in Jamaica, but at times the marijuana smoke from people smoking in and around the pool was a bit overwhelming. Overall, we mostly enjoyed our stay but would not return to this property.

Turn up with Barry and Bianca G..
The resort itself is gorgeous and clean. The food is ok nothing spectacular it’s was hard to get any reservations. The vibe is always live. The lobby bar is always lit if Barry and Bianca G is working it. If you wanna have a good time and have good drinks hit up the lobby bar. It’ll be a 10/10 if the lobby bar had AC it gets hot. Overall the resort was very enjoyable and entertaining. It’s a must stay!!!
