When arriving at the hotel, I was greeted by Jose and the entire group ballet staff. All professional, and very soon it's very accommodating. Then when checking in, I was fortunate. Enough to me Salvador the hotel manager, he went over the top, to be sure, my stay. What's exactly what I was looking for. I do travel a lot. And I strongly recommend this hotel again. Thank you, Jose, and the entire staff for a wonderful stay.

My First Mothers Day Celebration!
Amazing ocean view, amazing pool! Rooms organized and clean. A wonderful hotel to stay as a couple, corporate or with your family!!! Had a blast for my first mothers day celebration weekend! Beautiful island of Puerto Rico! 😁😁😁❤️❤️❤️❤️🇵🇷🇵🇷🔥🔥

Excellent Hotel Experience at The Royal Sonesta
We had a wonderful time as a couple at the Royal Sonesta. The amenities are excellent here: the location is on a beautiful beach while a fun nightlife, (if you enjoy that 😀), is within walking distance. It is also conveniently minutes from the airport. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The ocean view rooms are a wonderful way to wake up in the morning and drink in the scenery from your balcony. Nestor Colon, the Chief Concierge, was so helpful, kind and professional. He was able to arrange an early check in, as we arrived in San Juan much earlier than 4pm. He offers his knowledge about restaurants in the area and must see places. We have stayed in many Hotels in Puerto Rico over the years and this one is definitely a favorite. We highly recommend staying at the Royal Sonesta for its excellent guest care and its balanced levels of comfort and luxury.

Beach day in Isla Verde Puerto Rico 🇵🇷
After a 3 day stay in Ceiba with family, my husband and I wanted to go spend the day on one of our favorite beaches in Isla Verde. We had a 6 o'clock flight back to NJ and needed a short stay room on the beach. The Royal Sonesta was the perfect choice! We arrived at 9 AM. for our short stay booking. We booked on Hotelsbyday.com for 9 Am arrival and 5 PM. check out. The price for this gorgeous resort was absolutely reasonable, with access to the entire resort with a lovely room on the 5th floor. Our room had a great view with a balcony 😍. We checked in and went to our suite to change into beach ⛱️ clothes and spent a sunny day on the beach in the pool and having lunch at the ocean breeze restaurant on the property. For 8 hours, we ate, drank, and swam in the warm ocean. The beach was clean, as was the resort. Everyone was friendly and accommodating, and I would recommend the Royal Sonesta Resort to anyone wanting to spend time in Isla Verde. 5 🌟 all the way. At the end of our day, we showered in our room packed up and called Uber for a ride to SJU Airport 🛫 8 minutes away. Perfect day trip after being in the beautiful mountains of Ceiba.

The Royal Sonesta is absolutely beautiful. No doubt about it. You can tell they take pride in their establishment. Like everything in life, it has its pros and cons: Gorgeous property Buffet breakfast was amazing. Down to the little things like heating the creamer for the hot coffee. We would fill up on breakfast and then be good until dinner. Pool was nice, but next time I’ll look for a place that is adults only. This resort was overrun by kids. The hot tub clearly stated no kids under 12 but every day, there were little ones treating it like a warm bath. Towels were plentiful. I liked that they were self serve at times (other times there was an attendant). Pool side chairs were always taken by early morning but there were plenty of beach loungers. Beach was very clean and somewhat quiet for a public beach. Swim up bar was good with delicious pina colodas. Our room was in the club wing. Private wing with a poolside view. The room its self was ok. The design of the shower had water leaking on to the floor with every shower and the AC vent in the room was extremely noisy. Enough to wake me up every night. Couldn’t change rooms because the hotel was booked. Shower handle fell off in my hand the very first night but they were quick to fix it. One very nice touch was the complementary bottle of champagne they sent to our room for our wedding anniversary. We were saving it for our last night there to celebrate and THEY TOOK IT AWAY! Who gives a bottle of champagne and then takes it away because we didn’t drink it fast enough??? That was our last night there and it made me leave with a not so good feeling. I was shocked they would do that. When I inquired at the front desk they said nothing but “sorry” we have no more champagne. I dont know who took it from our room but it didn’t sit right with me. So we paid the ENORMOUS resort fee and went on our way. I’d probably try another place when we go back to PR.
