Kids will love it
My kids had a great time at the Mini Club. Suleica, Odette, Blanca, and Mariana go out of their way to keep the kids entertained. Making bracelets, picture frames, braiding, face painting, many games. Santa arrived on a Jet Ski on Christmas Day. Pros: - Entertainment team is top notch (both adults and kids) - Water park for kids in Mini Club - 15-20m walk to Cancun Sign - They have their own "mini" Cancun Sign in the property. - Can use the facilities in the next-door sister resort GR Caribe. - Great food selections at the Ala carte restaurants - Grand breakfast buffet Cons: - Lack of veggie options in lunch/dinner buffet. - Bad wifi coverage throughout the property. - Reserving ala carte dinners could be a challenge at times. - Only the corner rooms have balconies, and they are very pricey

Royal Solaris Cancun
Staff are friendly and helpful. Beach is beautiful but the facility is old. Restrooms at the lobby need to be remodeled. Food & dessert at the buffet need improvement.

Royal Solaris Cancun - great for family vacation!
Had a very pleasant stay at Royal Solaris Cancun. Very courteous and friendly staff. They accommodated our special request for a vegetarian meal at every dine in. The pool was clean , rooms were clean and daily shows exceeded expectations.

The good, the bad and the ugly.
Our family of 10 visited over the Christmas holiday. Check in was a nightmare for one of our party. The first room assigned was already occupied. Thank god the guests weren’t in the room when our people entered it. The 2nd room assigned, the key cards didn’t work. Finally, they were given an upgraded room. Very inconvenient after a full day of travel. One of our guests lost their cheap, plastic wristband. The hotel charged $70.00 USD for a replacement! Our guest found the wristband within hours but the hotel would not refund the $70.00! The final straw was when the hotel loaded our luggage for airport transportation and left behind 2 bags. They quickly sent the luggage to us at the airport but I had to pay the taxi fee!! Not impressed! On the positive side, the rest of the staff was amazing! We will miss our lovely Lupita serving us our drinks! If I could have brought her home I would have! The nightly entertainment was very well done and enjoyable as with the Christmas entertainment! The silent disco was so much fun!

Disappointing Stay Despite Previous Positive Experiences
This is our third visit to this resort in a year (our first being last Christmas), and sadly, we’ve noticed a decline in service and overall organization. While we loved our first visit, this trip has left us questioning whether we’ll return in the future. Hot Water Issue The hot water in our first room at the Caribe didn’t work. While the initial maintenance call temporarily resolved the issue, it resurfaced shortly after. We called again, but were repeatedly transferred and told that maintenance had been notified. However, after nearly two hours of waiting in damp clothes and wet hair, we discovered that no maintenance staff had actually been called. We eventually had to seek help from the front desk ourselves. While they managed to move us to a different room, the hassle of packing, checking out, and then waiting until 3 PM to check into our new room was incredibly frustrating. Restaurant Closures The resort’s app should notify guests of restaurant closures. We walked to our dinner reservation only to find the restaurant closed with no clear instructions beyond a vague direction to the main dining area. After asking multiple staff members, we discovered the restaurant had been moved to the auditorium. By then, it was too late, and we skipped dinner altogether. Service at Restaurants We understand it gets busy, especially with restaurant closures, but waiting 45 minutes for drinks is excessive. When certain dining options are unavailable, resources should be reallocated to support the remaining open restaurants. Activity Delays The activities listed in the app rarely start on time. Guests who plan their day around these schedules end up frustrated, especially when they’ve set aside time and arrived early. It disrupts the flow of the day and family plans. WiFi Connectivity The resort’s WiFi is unreliable, which is extremely frustrating. While we try to disconnect on vacation, some work tasks are unavoidable, and consistent WiFi would significantly improve the guest experience. Elevator Maintenance Elevator closures should be communicated in advance on the resort’s website to avoid surprises during guests’ stays. While we’ve previously had great experiences at this resort, the decline in service and attention to detail during this trip has been disappointing. We hope the resort addresses these concerns, as we’ve enjoyed our past visits and would love to return if improvements are made.
