May 11, 2025Worst hotel ever!!! Deceiving!!
I was just looking at the photos that the hotel posted and it’s very describing. We arrived May 8th from traveling 18 hours. Upon arrival I asked the front desk man if I could have 3 additional pillows. He told me that he would not accommodate me at that time and to go up to room and call him back when we got to the room. So, I went upstairs and called him back. He said yes, they will bring up. Meanwhile , he was arguing with me about why I needed the pillows and that I basically had four in room. Housekeeping came up and gave us 2 pillows and my husband tipped them. I was in bathroom and I called down and told the guy I requested 3! He said .. sorry housekeeping is closed now!! So, we got into an argument and then he brought up a pillow! This was the start to our visit to Athens after traveling 18 hours! The sheets are so rough that you can use the sheet as a loofa! The bath robe in room was washed 100 times and was also like a loofa. The bed is terrible for your back. It was two twins pushed together. We were placed next to the street and it was very loud. The air conditioning broke and maintenance was called twice. We basically used a hand fan all night! NOW!! The bathroom was the worst! Terrible lighting !! You could not see at all!!! Especially for women doing their makeup! I had to sit by the window during day and at night just hope I looked ok! There was not a fan inside the bathroom, so you can imagine the steam in a bathroom and then going inside the room that was already muggy and uncomfortable! Thank god we only stayed three nights! Would never recommend! Also, the oool picture they post is deceiving too! It’s was not very nice. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DO YOUR HOMEWORK!!! Stay away!!

Smoking Mirrors
The exterior of this hotel is exquisite… but don’t let that fool you. The pompous and snobby attitude brings it down. The visit to the Roof Top Bar was hideous. We could not be seated near the edge of the rooftop until we assured them we were ordering dinner. The service was poor, the unseasoned Lamb dinner was served with a butter knife and a fork, when I asked for a steak knife I was told ‘you don’t need one’… who serves a big Lamb shank with a butter knife? Better yet, who tells a paying customer what utensil to eat with? Anyway… could only manage to order 1 cocktail because the waiter never came back. Big front fancy facade… big disappointing experience. The 4 stars it sells.. is over rated. Shame on you for poor judgement asking me for a room number upon arrival… I was a visitor… but never again.

This hotel is advertised as a 5-star hotel, but the service we received did not match that standard. The staff were cleaning tables while we were still eating, they shouted at each other, and they allowed people to smoke at the entrance the smoke came inside while we were having our meal. The reception staff were not very friendly they didn’t smile or greet us unless we greeted them first. At breakfast, we asked to change seats, but the female employee got upset and said it wasn’t possible because it was a walkway. We understood that, but we chose this hotel mainly for the view, and she didn’t offer any solution. It was very frustrating that there was no non-smoking area by the swimming pool people were smoking everywhere. We went to the bar 30 minutes before closing, and the employee gave us a rude look because they were closing soon. The breakfast selection was very poor for a 5-star hotel. The only staff member who was consistently friendly and welcoming was the housekeeper she always smiled and greeted us.

More like 4 star
The usual 5 star facilities are missing- no free wifi, few power points, no USB charger , no complimentary water, no turn down, no coffee machine, old bathroom, no face washers, no weighing machine. Inadequate lifts. Restaurant understaffed & several tour groups, food ordinary and expensive.

A first impression of Athens
An old dame that has lost her charm. Sad to say that the staff her do not value client servicing as much as the younger ones in the island resorts. Servicing policies are outdated, eg, need to pay Eur 2 per luggage for overnight keeping, Eur 30 for box breakfast to take away due to early flights, and staff made no effort to accommodate guests' request for early check in and late check out. Facilities in the room are lacking, no kettle, no free coffee /tea. Gym is located outside of the Hotel that needs users to walk to the back. Hotel rooms that face the main road are noisy that could affect guests' sleep quality. Other than a good location and a pretty decent breakfast spread, there is nothing much to look forward to.
