    Excellent

This was one of the best resort experiences I've ever had the ocean view was spectacular and the front desk staff especially Stacy and Mama made my Birthday celebration fantastic. I love how accommodating and the smiles and greetings received from all of the staff.

    First times

When we first arrived our overall first impressions of the lobby/landscaping and staff was good. We got to our room in the tower and immediately were disappointed. First the door wasn’t latched and locked so we were able to push the door right open, we messed it with it for a minute and determined that we were going to have to pull up on the door to latch in order to properly secure. The tower rooms are very outdated, smells old, carpet is stained and grossed. I noticed dust all over, toothpaste residue leftover, cobwebs, etc. one of the lampshades was broken. My husband jumped in the shower and said the water wasn’t draining very quickly so the drain was backing up. I looked around the room, opened some cabinets and saw a baby cockroach, that was enough for me to go down and request something different, we ended up paying extra to upgrade to a bungalow cause we didn’t want to room hop not knowing if the next room would Be worse or not. The overall resort is beautiful and if you stay in the bungalow great experience cause they had recently been remodeled. We will not be staying there when we return due to the experiences with the first room, we wanted ocean front and paid for that but didn’t get it when we moved to the bungalow but we didn’t want to risk finding more cockroaches or potentially bringing them home with us. There is limited food/drinks at this resorts, not much entertainment or options. We ended up going over to whalers village often because of variety and more options. We also felt to pay to park at the hotel was a little excessive especially when we are paying to stay. I understand paying for vallet but self park should be free.

    Amazing stay!

We had a lovely stay here. They were really busy during Christmas holiday so the wait at for breakfast was really really long. That was surprising as this was our second stay at this hotel and there was not any issues during our last stay. However, we got used to it and one of us would get up early and stand in 1-1 1/2hr long line and would call the others when ready to be seated. Our mistake was buying their breakfast package, so I would recommend not buying that so that you can go for breakfast somewhere else if that is an issue. They have an amazing location and is very walkable. Their staff is very friendly. Their room service is every other day but if you need towels or anything else you can just ask for it. We would definitely stay here again

    Beautiful resort! Great staff!

Beautiful resort with incredible views. Very friendly and helpful staff. We booked this very last minute and were only able to book a room with double beds. Kim at the reception desk was able to find us a room with a king bed. We arrived a little early , so we had a drink at the bar, before we could finish our drinks, she had a room available for us . A lovely room with great views from our balcony. Thanks kim

Hotel Review: Okay Stay at Royal Lahaina Resort

Cleanliness and Room Condition ⭐ The room's cleanliness was far below acceptable standards. Dust bunnies were found on shelves above the bed, indicating a lack of thorough housekeeping. Even more concerning, I discovered bugs in the room, which is absolutely unacceptable for any hospitality establishment. Bathroom Experience ⭐ The bathroom was a significant letdown. The description on the hotel's website was misleading and did not match the actual condition. What was promised online was starkly different from the reality guests encounter. Service and Wait Times ⭐ Waiting times were excessively long, particularly at the hotel restaurant. Dining Experience ⭐ The culinary offerings were disappointing. Not only was the food quality subpar, but the dining options were also extremely limited. This was true both within the hotel restaurant and in the surrounding area, leaving guests with few satisfactory meal choices. Pool ⭐ Both pools were absolutely frigid. Not heated whatsoever. We were told that that is common across the island but others informed us that that is not the case. Despite what has been written above, overall, we had an enjoyable time. Just wanted to share our experience while there (Christmas and New Years).
