Hotel Overview
The resort's original garden and oceanfront cottage accommodations evoke a quaint beachside experience reminiscent of Hawaii's Plantation Era, situated amid tropical gardens and sprawling oceanfront lawns. With ceiling fans stirring the soft air, inviting couches, and island-style appointments throughout, they have the distinctly homey feel of a relative's beachfront hideaway.
The 12-story Lahaina Kai Tower features luxurious island-inspired guestrooms and suites celebrating the artistry, environment and culture of Hawaii. Each contemporary room pays tribute to the Islands with custom teak furnishings, hand-selected paintings and photographs, and a soft palette that plays counterpoint to the spectacular tropical setting.
Appetites large and small, casual, and cosmopolitan, traditional and adventurous will be more than satisfied by the culinary offerings at Royal Lahaina Resort. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, pupus (delectable snacks), and a full complement of tropical cocktails - eat, indulge, enjoy. Whether it is that first irresistibly cooling lick of a locally made ice cream cone at the Royal Scoop, a meticulously prepared and stunningly presented fresh island fish at The Royal Ocean Terrace, or the signature Mai Tais that made Don the Beachcomber internationally famous, you will dine like royalty.
Don't be surprised if you are joined by visiting celebrities! And beginning in late October, Humpback whales are frequently seen frolicking just off the beach.

Relaxing and overall fun time.
The room was clean and service along with the overall staff was excellent. Royal Scoop was my favorite for snacks, ice scream, and coffee. The resort has mellow vibe, so if you are looking for a place to enjoy the Aloha spirit, relax and unwind the Royal Lahaina is the place.

Beautiful Resort but terrible restaurant Lahaina Noon
Resort was great..beautiful location. Clean place ..lovely beach and other activities. Enjoyed the evening music concerts. Cutting two stars due to the onsite restaurant Lahaina Noon. The service was terrible. We were offered complimentary breakfast service but the restaurant didn’t have the capacity to manage the holiday crowd. The wait was almost 40 minutes for buffet .. the food wasn’t getting refilled fast enough and the staff was rude and frustrated. They said they weren’t prepared for the holiday rush.

5 star all the way!
From the moment we were greeted by the valet this was five star experience all the way! They upgraded us to a beautiful suite overlooking the entire ocean. It was hard to leave the room but when we did, right out our door we got to walk on the most beautiful white sand and look at the prettiest blue ocean we had ever seen. Hawaii is amazing. Every meal we had in their restaurant was tasty and the options were great. The staff was always greeting us with a smile. When we needed an extra towel housekeeping would bring it to you right away. we got a couples massage and my wife mentioned afterwards that was the best massage she ever had! For what we got here at the resort the price was perfect. I recommend this resort over others in the area because you get a more intimate stay without the hustle and bustle of a big huge hotel. Rooms and property are clean, pools and beaches and safe of hazards. This like I said is 5 star all the way!

Worst stay of my life!
For a property that is five star, you disappointed us, the food we got from the restaurant, the restaurant couldn't even warm it up for us. Yet the stuff kept harassing us for tip, the whole time. We came 10 minutes before the end of happy hour and couldn't honor it and give us a happy hour menu. The A/C in the rooms smells bad. Breakfast (Chicken Waffle) that we had was terrible! The water in the bathroom sink, smelled terrible(Like sewage). Most of the staff (Not all) gave us an attitude, the whole time we interacted with them. But smiled more for other people of different race. The Bungalows didn't have much privacy. The fridge was actually in the bathroom. How hygienic is that? Overall, we wouldn't wanna recommend this to any one. Money wasted!!!!

Mahalo me later
Let’s hear it for Royal Lahaina housing the fire survivors and the Red Cross! Mahalo! What generosity They wisely used that time to update the bungalows and now they are comfy and cozy. The staff is helpful and friendly. Shout out to Gretchen at the front desk who made our stay even more memorable. And to the Branches. A free concert under the big rubber tree every night!
