Well located on the beach and close proximity to commercial area of the Island. Good restaurants are in walking distance and plenty of options. I stayed in Bay tower on the sea front and the rooms were old but clean and comfortable. Al carte breakfast is standard and nothing to complain.

There were plenty of pillows, which I Loved ! The AC was perfect ! Plus it's was a very nice and quiet stay ! We didn't get the view of the ocean from my room but it was still a nice view. If your here on vacation or you just need a night to get away , I highly recommend Royal Kona Resort !

Royal Kona Resort.
My wife and I were there only for one night, and left very early in the morning. The room was spacious and clean. Unfortunately, the air conditioner made a lot of noise. The premises was busy. We did not use the restaurant. Parking was easy. We would definitely consider staying there again.

This place is old, everything is old, I am surprised it has high ratings as location is really the only redeeming feature. We were in the Bay tower and our room badly needs a remodel. Oceanfront so great view but single pane window and door wouldn't even close correctly. Pool is small and lounge chairs are old. No beach here. Nice sunsets. Dons is same, good views but everything is old and dated. Wait staff friendly enough but bartenders are all unfriendly and make weak drinks. Food just ok. Location is really great because you can walk to many restaurants, bars and shops. Too bad they don't invest in the property and make it nice.

Great Stay
The rooms were very clean and spacious. The bar and restaurant was excellent. The staff was very courteous and hospitable. Even with the high surf crashing on the shoreline, it was still comfortable. Would highly recommend Royal Kona Resort. Mahalo.
