Great location! The restaurant staff needs courtesy lessons
We stayed here for my daughters 21st Birthday and when we arrived the staff at the front desk were very helpful and the room was nice. The bartender was very nice and made an awesome cocktail :) The free buffet was below average and mostly not edible and the same everyday. The staff in the restaurant were very rude and asked us to leave at 10:25 am and made several announcements. Not what I’d expect for paying over $300 a nite. Location is wonderful and will be back to Florence however, will look into other hotels.

A quiet gem in the heart of Florence
Spent 6 nights at Hotel Rivoli during a work trip to Florence. Outstanding service, accommodations, and breakfast. I would call this a "Rick Steves" quality hotel. A boutique gem off the beaten path but great location within easy walking distance of everything. The front desk staff were top notch - so helpful with everything from restaurant recommendations to quick-turn-around laundry. The room was quiet and comfortable, with great air-conditioning during a very hot week in Tuscany. And the breakfast servers were on top of making sure I had gluten-free options every morning. One of the servers even went out of her way to ensure that I had a to-go breakfast bag for the morning I departed to catch an early morning flight. It was ready for me at the front desk when I checked out. So thoughtful!

Lovely hotel with horrible WiFi coverage
This is a very nice hotel that would have been perfect except for the fact that there was no WiFi in our room and the TV had no working channels. We also tried to use the jacuzzi one day but it was occupied by two young children who were being very loud, splashing us outside the pool, and detaching bouys and throwing them around. We complained to the front desk and were told they were the children of an employee (despite the sign saying no children under the age of 14 could use the pool). The parents went to talk to them but they just kept doing the same thing. We complained again and it seemed like the staff was very eager to make the situation right but we only had a few minutes before our dinner reservation so we had to leave. Very disappointing.

Could be better
Stayed there end of June 24. The hotel had the makes to be decent, however, left a lot to be desired. Our room (which I think was 505 or 515 which is in the back by the garden by itself), was very musty and mildewy smelling. Our clothes would have moisture on them every morning. The so called pool had algae growin at the bottom so we didn’t actually go in. The staff was pretty mediocre. We even got locked out at about 1130 pm and got yelled at by the front desk old dude, even though we came in every night at that time and seen the same dude. He didn’t believe we were staying there. Now, I know this isn’t a world class hotel, but nobody walking all that way to crash your hotel. It’s nice that so close to the train station. The afternoon bartender was awesome. But, he was the only thing I’d consider awesome there. And the only reason I spent extra money at this hotel. Better keep him around or nobody will be spending extra money here.

Rivoli- location is best part about hotel
The best thing about this hotel is the location!!! So close to the train station and everything!!! The outdoor sitting space for breakfast is lovely as is the small garden. Well maintained and clean overall. The rooms are small, which is to be expected in a big city! The bathroom tiny! Nice towels, terrible pillows! Breakfast left a lot to be desired; service was great in restaurant. The front desk and concierge staff was less than friendly; except for one gentleman who was somewhat nice and helpful with suggestions. We felt like we were bothering the others so we avoided asking questions. I would highly suggest setting up your own transportation to the hotel; a cab cost us only 30euro. The hotel set up a sedan (90 euro) however with a flight delay we arrived later- even though we advised the hotel 2 hours prior to our original plan about this delay, they still charged us for this ride!! In addition since that happened we felt this overall tension from the staff our entire visit!
