Feb 04, 2025Great Hotel - Weather Issues
First time doing AI in ten years. The food and drink options were fabulous, lots of restaurant options and during the day there was a nice quiet Ibiza Bar. Location right on the beach was fabulous and the rooms were more than adequate.. 35 min walk along the beach to the town, or 5 mins from the other Riu hotels if you want a change of scenery..Only negative, there was nowhere of an evening to have a quiet drink and relax. The main lobby always had some form of entertainment as did the entertainment area near the pool..If thats what you like its great, this was the only negative. I would happily go again... We had really poor weather in Jan, but this cannot be helped, if I go again it will be in the spring

Beautiful Beach
My party of six stayed at the Riu Yucatan the last week in Jan 2025. Overall, we had a good time. Here are some of the Pro’s and Con’s: Pro: Beach. One of the most beautiful we have seen in 20 years of international all-inclusive resorts. Pools. They were clean. However, they did need some maintenance (many missing tiles, cracks in concrete edge, etc). The foam party was a favorite. Resort size. Small enough to walk, large enough for a decent size pools. Shared privileges with two other resorts within walking distance. We went to a Neon Party at the Tequila (it was awesome) ! Shopping is also walking distance. Room . Very clean rooms. Housekeeping did a very nice job. It was nice to have a coffee maker in the room. Staff. All attentive and polite. Staff, in charge of activities, did a great job. Con: Alcohol. No top-shelf spirits (no Grey Goose, Tito’s, or Absolut vodka). Management says that you need to stay in a higher tier resort for that luxury. Food. Plentiful and tasty. Although, a little redundant after 7 days. The specialty restaurants were average. It was nice to not need a reservation for any of them. Elevator. None. They have it on their website but you may miss it. The room buildings are three floors. Sounds like there is limited king-size beds on the ground floor. If you are going for the beach and ocean view, I highly recommend. If you are going for the pool, you might want to shop around.

Great facilities
Fifth time at Rui Yucatan , service as usual was good, as was cleanliness of everywhere . Food was good and overall bar s fine . Entertainment mixed

Italian restaurant in the hotel is superb great staff and amazing serviceervice
The staff were all very polite and the reception staff were very prompt with anything we requested.....the hotel and bedrooms are very clean .We would recommend this hotel our first visit to Mexico The Rui Yucatan amazing certainly went the extra mile !
