Top hotel with great location
Hotel excellent! The room very clean and modern. Bedding. TV service with a functional chromecast. Breakfast very good too. The staff were very good, smiling and polite, and some even spoke French. At worst if you speak Spanish better than English it’s also good because you feel that the Riu channel is Hispanic. We stayed 5 nights to 3 people including a child. The +++ of this hotel is the location. A few meters from the “staircases” and the big screens of Times Square without having the crowds in front of the lobby. Several metro lines nearby (yellow at 50m and orange a little further). You can easily go home and rest a little during the day if you stay in Manhattan. We read some negative reviews about the wait at the elevators and breakfast... our feeling (we were on the 25th floor room 2512) the max expected at the elevators: 2 minutes... so never crazy waiting as we could read. We made hotels within 10 floors where we waited longer. Regarding breakfast; idem we read negative reviews; and similarly no worries for us. Indeed, avoiding peak hours between 8am and 9am there is almost no waiting. We did an experiment by going there at 8:30 am (rush hour) and we waited 18min... nothing serious for us plus the staff makes you navigate in the lines with great precision and we do not feel the time spent. In short for us everything went very well. If we have to return to NYC/Manhattan, without hesitation we will take over this hotel.

Amazing Stay, Great Location
Amazing hotel in a fantastic location. Right by Times Square. Staff were all really friendly, good rooms, comfy beds and really good breakfast. Couldn’t fault the hotel or location. Would definitely return to this hotel if we visited New York again.

Nice but would not stay there again. Too many lines!
The hotel is very large and in an excellent location, our room (ninth floor) was really small but very nice, clean and WITHOUT carpet on earth. Unfortunately, however, I must say that I would not return to this hotel because of the too many lines! I will list them: 1. In the morning queue in the launge to access the elevator to go up to the fifth floor, where there is the breakfast room ... (one morning the wait came to 45 minutes!!!) 2. Once on floor 5, another row to get a table. 3. After breakfast , third row to access an elevator to return to the room . 4. When you finally want to get out of the hotel you have to wait patiently (even 20 minutes) for an elevator to take you to the ground floor (we , gripped by despair, from the ninth floor we went down the stairs). 5. When you return to the hotel, (dead tired) another line to access the elevator to return to the room If they want to accommodate more than 1000 people, in my opinion they should have at least two breakfast rooms (or one but not undersized) and have multiple elevators. In the morning it is not possible to do even an hour in a row to sit at the table for breakfast!!!!
