Breakfast is amazing
Lovely clean spacious room. (2206) Shower was large and hot. Big soft towels Very comfy bed. Fabulous views from window. Loads of complementary toiletries. Breakfast was one of the best I've ever had. You will queue if you arrive at dining room after 7.30am. The hotel is really central, within walking distance of theatres, Empire state building,Intrepid, central park, natural history museum and Rockerfella tower. Subway access on R train to ground zero museum, statue of liberty and Ellis Island.

First Manhattan Trip
On arrival to NYC we arrived to the wrong Rui plaza hotel as there are 2 hotels local. They guided us to our destination and was very kind and helpful and even called over to the other hotel to let them know we were on our way. On arrival to the hotel they was very kind and helpful and was an amazing location. They had breakfast ready on time and the heating worked well as it was snowing out side and was very comfortable. No faults.

Great stay in NYC
First time staying at the Riu Plaza Manhattan definitely won't be the last i have stayed at a number of hotels this has got to be one of my favourites. The hotel offers a a great location to all the top attractions. A few blocks away to the closest subway times square twin minute walk away. Friendly staff, clean but tiny rooms but to be honest it's a base so the room size doesn't matter. Breakfast was between 7 and 10am wide range of food from cooked to cereals and pastries. We fly home today check out is at midday there is a luggage storage service so you can carrying on enjoying the city until your return journey to the airport. Do allow yourself a little more time to get from hotel to airport as there are alot of roadworks.

Very good overall with excellent condition
We stayed from 9-13 February at the Riu Plaza Manhattan Times Square (do not confuses with another Riu Plaza hotel 5 mins walk away) and had an excellent stay. The welcome from reception was pleasant, the rooms were clean and modern (albeit not huge), and the location is excellent less than a minute’s walk to Times Square. Breakfast served from 7-10am and was consistently good, with the quiet times being right at the start or end of service. Obviously there are lots of tourist traps locally, but nearby there are a few good spots to eat and drink in the streets off of Times Square (The Woo Woo Bar is a funky cocktail bar hidden beneath an ‘Adult’ shop, and I’d highly recommend the tacos at Los Tacos Number 1 ). Not a huge room for improvement. The hotel bar is more of a lobby but it’s still a nice place to sit with reasonably priced drinks and food. We didn’t use the gym facilities but they looked reasonable enough. Wifi worked fine but could be annoying as it kept logging out every time I left the room. Overall a really good stay and would recommend.

Ok for a couple of days
Great hotel for an overnight stay. Good for theatre goers. Nice clean modern hotel situated in the heart of Manhatten. Room small but expected that. We were here for 3 nights only so it was fine. Beware..there is a Riu Plaza literally 3 blocks away and I didn't realise so cab dropped us at the wrong hotel! Be sure to check if its the Times Square Manhattan or the Times Square New York. Ours was the Manhatten. It was ok but there is no restaurant other than for breakfast. There was a cafe on site offering drinks and sandwiches etc. This closed at midnight. No room service and no tea or coffee in the room. We had an early checkout (before breakfast which starts at 7) and asked for some coffee to which they refused us and told us to stop at a Dunkin Donut!! Breakfast was very good but the arrangement was totally bizarre. You go down from your floor to Reception. Then queue with everyone to go back up in the elevator to the 5th floor where breakfast is served.. This is supervised and god forbid you try and enter the elevator before they say so! Then once you are finally at the 5th Floor (having passed this on the way down to Reception!) you queue all over again for a table. However breakfast was excellent. Only one toilet there which is ridiculous. You then queue for the lift back down. Totally bizarre set up! Staff were ok but not overly keen to help you. This hotel is fine but no restaurant or room service or even tea and coffee facilities means I won't be returning. Open a restaurant and offer tea and coffee and you're on to a winner. A little customer service training would help too.
