Fantastic Stay!
My wife and I had a fantastic stay at RIU Plaza Espana. Great location to either walk or for access to public transportation. Very comfortable room with everything you need and an excellent breakfast.

Amazing
This place is fantastic. Id definitely stay again next time I'm in the city. The room was perfect. Fantastic views. The breakfast is really good with so many options. The hotel is so clean and comfortable and the rooftop bar is amazing to have a drink and take in the views

Perfect
Great location, perfect service, clean and very comfortable room and rooftop bar with the best view on Madrid. I will never sleep in another hotel, when I will visit Madrid.

A Madrid Must
I chose RIU Madrid after reading the many positive reviews on TripAdvisor. The hotel located in the center city with plenty of restaurants, shopping and a beautiful park. The rooms are very nice and spacious. The shower is great. The breakfast is also very nice and busy. The only downside was the AC is always turned off in November because of anticipated cooler weather. I opened the window as suggested by the front desk. With the window opened you can hear all of the street noise and crowd gathering after partying on the rooftop. I highly recommend RIU Madrid while staying in Madrid.

Too many rules. No hospitality.
When I’m on vacation, I want what I want. I don’t want unreasonable limitations. We booked this trip 6 months ago as 2 couples. Upon check in, we were placed 13 floors apart, we asked to move one of us closer, and were told it was impossible. And the security in the elevators made it impossible for us to visit each other’s rooms without using the stairs. We tried to get a drink at the lobby bar and were ignored fir 20 minutes by the staff. The volume on the television is restricted to a level that can’t be heard over the in room climate control, which can not be adjusted. We then attempted to have a drink at the rooftop bar and I was told that it was impossible to get an Old Fashioned. The attitude of the entire staff is “this is the way it is, and you just have to deal with it.” They have zero concept of hospitality.
