Playa Blanca getaway
The resort is good for a few days away from the city, however the beach isn’t useful as there are plenty of rock pebbles and the water isn’t the greatest. RIU puts on a good nightly show, the staff are hard working and do a great job, the buffet meals are plentiful and good for a buffet type meal, we tried the steak house one night and it was ok as well, nothing to write home about.

Fabulous Holiday
We just returned from a 2 week stay at Riu Playa Blanca. We had a fabulous holiday. The hotel was clean, rooms were well-kept, the food was overall good. We especially enjoyed the Italian and Asian. The beach was beautiful and really deep with lots of chairs. The tide was high and the ocean wasn’t alwayd swimmable. We enjoyed the presence of the kids’ pool when you were looking for quiet. We had massages, tired leg ritual and couples relaxation and both were fabulous. We would especially like to acknowledge Ruben, Alison and Gabby from the Animation team. Always smiling and sociable. We were also very impressed with the Lobby bar staff, Yunier, Emilydis, Ivan, Milton, Rodolfo, Jose Sam and Enrique. Also thanks to Yasel in the buffet for her beautiful smile and happy disposition. Thank you for a fabulous vacation!

Worst vacation of our life time in terms of room hygiene
Rundown room with filthy floor, stripped door's inside floor panel, Room towels are not completely dry, dispensing bar panel missing booze bottle, poor internet, pesty cockroach running on the bed, only bottle of shampoo/hand soap available in the washroom, missing furniture, arrogant Front Desk supervisor, stagnant water puddle in the room hallway (3rd floor) after rain..... I have just mentioned a few things. This place is a shame in terms of rooms maintenance and RIU properties. First terrible experience out of 7th time with RIU properties......

Family fun
We really enjoyed our trip. Panama is a great country. It is hot, even with lot of sunscreen I got a huge sunburn. The hotel is showing sign of aging but still a beautiful place. It is really clean. The food was good. I recommend the steakhouse restaurant. Didn't like the asian restaurant but the decor is nice. At the buffet you can always find something you'll like. Dessert are yummy and a lot of choices. Pool activities are so fun, aquagym and dance lessons were our favorite. Foam and beach Party's were great. Be aware if you choose the triple standard room the view will be a muddy construction site. We changed room, thanks to the wonderful Shantel at the reception. Special mention to Carlos the barman. He speaks Spanish, English and French.

2 weeks at the RIU, Playa Blanca Panama
First time staying at Riu chain of resorts. It is a bit dated, but clean and comfortable. Food was good, definitely did not starve, something for everyone…some sauces were a bit too salty for my taste. There are 3 al a carte restaurants, Italian, Asian and a Steakhouse and tried all 3. The steakhouse had an offer of dinner for 2 lwhich we ordered and was surprised that we each got a plate loaded with food, we sent one back as there was plenty for us on the one plate. Entertainment was very good, we didn’t go the first few nights thinking we could catch the acts on our 2nd week….surprise on us as it appeared there was different entertainment nightly during our 2 week stay. Staff was amazing, very helpful and pleasant. No complaints at all….would try one of their other resorts in the future,
