Great place for a vacation with family
The hotel is great for a family vacation. Entertainment personnel is very active and engages the guests the whole time. There are 4 pools. one for small kids with slides. The beach front is huge. you can take a long walk if you want to. The food was good. We were there for Christmas and the hotel decorated the hotel accordingly and they had a christmas theme show as well The gym is small, not enough equipment

AMAZING RIU Playa Blanca!
We have had an amazing time at Riu Playa Blanca. Everything was perfect from the smooth check-in and check-out, to spacious and clean room, spotless and beautiful resort, nice pools, beautiful sandy beach, tasty food with lots of variety and friendly staff. THANK YOU RIU Playa Blanca for an unforgetable vacation.

Poor overall stay
Review for Hotel Riu Playa Blanca I had high expectations for my stay at Hotel Riu Playa Blanca, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the hype. First, the check-in process was a nightmare — long lines and disorganized staff. The room was nothing special, with outdated furniture and a musty smell. The AC barely worked, making it uncomfortable, especially at night. The food was mediocre at best, with limited options and bland flavors. I’ve stayed at all-inclusive resorts before, but this one was definitely below par. The pool area was overcrowded, and getting a lounge chair felt like a battle. What really ruined the experience was the lack of customer service. Staff were unhelpful and sometimes even rude. The Wi-Fi was spotty, and on the few occasions I tried to get help, I was brushed off. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. There are much better options in the area. I was really disappointed with my stay here.

Not even close to being a resort.
Not even close to being a resort. The hotel is run down and packed like a cattle truck. You have to queue for 60-90 minutes to get a table at any of the restaurants because they don't take reservations. The room was spacious but dirty, there was mold in the bathroom, the AC thermostat was broken, and so was the toilet flush. The view from the window was a large construction site. The beach is long and beautiful, although the sea is dirty and muddy, very far from what you see in the pictures.

Riu Playa Blanca Panama Family Vacay
Overall the resort is excellent. The resort, including lobby, public areas, rooms were extremely clean. The food was excellent. I have a few concerns, one the quite pool was not quiet, you had kids coming to it splashing etc. I think the Riu should make it an adults only quiet pool. One night there was a special drink being made in the lobby with Malibu and then the bars said "we do not carry that here at the resort" I had sent a request a month prior to arrival for 25th anniversary for our friends we were travelling with and nothing was done. I asked at the lobby and they said they would send a bottle to them - nothing. These minor things will not stop me from returning in the future, as mentioned it was a wonderful resort Location - Airport was only a 7minute ride which is fantastic. There is really nothing too close, It will take 2.5-3 hours to travel to Panama City or Canal each way.
