Just steps from the shops and nightlife in Cancun, the adults-only (18+) Riu Palace Las Americas is the perfect place for an all-inclusive Cancun vacation. Step into a lobby that is beyond extravagant, with great columns rising to hand-painted domes in gold leaf and floral designs, a stained glass ceiling, Edwardian furniture in rich satin and extraordinary chandeliers.
All amenities are offered for the first-class traveler: a spa with a rooftop solarium and Jacuzzi, a lavish nightclub with live shows and entertainment, and high-end suites with luxurious furnishings. An infinity pool appears to flow into the turquoise sea framing a white sand beach. Activities include table tennis, volleyball, windsurfing, snorkeling, and more.
Hailed for excellent dining, there is a selection of five à la carteor grand buffet restaurants. Recently revamped menus now offer a wide range of cuisine and finer ingredients at the à la carte restaurants, as well as the incorporation of a vegetarian menu in all restaurants. Fine cuisine is served at Los Arcos Italian restaurant, Sakura Japanese restaurant, Tio Pepe Mexican restaurant, Krystal Fusion restaurant, and a Grill and steakhouse. Domestic and imported drinks are served 24-hours a day and the mini-bar and liquor dispenser in the rooms are restocked regularly.

Dec 23, 2024Fun night life/good food/calm clean-clear waters
Traveled with friends, was apprehensive based on pricing but we were pleasantly surprised by food and night life provided by hotel staff! Riu parties were more like an interactive show than just a party! Something for everyone and lots of fun, very well attended and transportation was provided by hotel. Draw backs: hotel was dated and AC did not work well but staff and food were up to par. I would recommend for a more affordable adult all inclusive option when traveling with a group. Also close to the center of town and easily walkable to shopping, which is always a plus.

Beautiful resort, food was good, facilities were very nice. As with any resort the employees complete the experience. Most remarkable were Diego and Santy at the Terrace/Terraza Bar, and Hanel at the Black and White Steakhouse. If you go to the pool parties at RIU Caribe make sure you get the Al Pastor tacos, probably the best thing I ate the whole trip!

Very disappointing, dated hotel desperately in need of a refurb both in rooms and public areas. Also turned out to be a party hotel with loud music and loud young people everywhere and no where to escape. Loud music directly below the buffet made lunch time not a pleasant relaxing affair. Worse were all the ants on the sunbeds and Palappas, I am never bitten, but returned bitten to pieces. No sun for most of the day in the "quiet pool". Its many years since we have had to get up at 7 am to get a sunbed. Food plentiful but mediocre. Best restaurant was the Steak restaurant and a reasonable offering at Krystal. However the saving grace were the staff. Lovely helpful and smiling staff everywhere many of them Riu employees for many years. Connie in the bar, Enrique serving drinks by the pool and all the buffet staff and room staff, keeping the old place immaculate. Lovely beach, shame we had such high winds which made the sea quite difficult. However, that hotel is not for us, and we will not return.

Very nice resort. We loved it there. The property is very clean and the food was great. The staff did a very good job in making our stay enjoyable. We will be back
